ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 22
1 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: “ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳು:
Thus said the Lord, Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word;
2 ‘ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೇ, ನೀನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಈ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೂ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ.
And thou shalt say, Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
3 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಡೆಸಿರಿ. ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಾದವನನ್ನು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ. ಪರದೇಶಸ್ಥನಿಗೆ, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಧವೆಗೆ ಉಪದ್ರವವನ್ನಾದರೂ, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಪರಾಧದ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿರಿ.
Thus hath said the Lord, Execute ye justice and righteousness, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor; and the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow shall ye not oppress, and do them no violence, and shed no innocent blood in this place.
4 ನೀವು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೂ, ರಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಅರಸರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರ ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಈ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು.
For if ye indeed will do this thing, then shall enter in through the gates of this house kings sitting after David upon his throne, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
5 ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ಈ ಅರಮನೆ ಹಾಳಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.’”
But if ye will not hear these words, then do I swear by myself, saith the Lord, that this house shall become a ruin.
6 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದೂ, ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಗಿರಿಶೃಂಗ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ. ಆದರೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
For thus hath said the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah, A Gil'ad [though] thou art unto me, a summit of the Lebanon: yet I will surely change thee into a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.
7 ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಯುಧಗಳಿಂದ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ದೇವದಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕುವರು.
And I will make ready against thee destroyers, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down the choice of thy cedars, and cast them into the fire.
8 “ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವರು. ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಈ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಏಕೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ?’ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
And [when] many nations [then] pass by this city, they will say every man to his neighbor, Wherefore hath the Lord done the like unto this great city?
9 ‘ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಸೇವಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ,’ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವರು.”
Then shall they say, Because they had forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and bowed down unto other gods, and served them.
10 ಮರಣ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಅರಸನಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಳಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಗೋಳಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅಳಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ತಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Weep not for the dead, and do not bemoan him: weep sorely for him that goeth away; for he shall never return any more, and see the land of his birth.
11 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆಳಿದವನೂ, ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋದವನೂ ಆದ ಶಲ್ಲೂಮನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಅವನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
For thus hath said the Lord respecting Shallum the son of Josiah the king of Judah, who reigneth in the place of Josiah his father, who is gone forth out of this place, He shall never return thither any more;
12 ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾಯುವನು. ಅವನು ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
But in the place whither they have led him into exile, there shall he die; but this land shall he not see any more.
13 “ಅನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗೂ, ಕೂಲಿಕೊಡದೆ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಕೆಲಸ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೂ ಕಷ್ಟ!
Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by injustice; that maketh his neighbor work without wages, and giveth him not the reward for his labor;
14 ಅವನು, ‘ನಾನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ.’ ಕಿಟಕಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊರೆದು, ದೇವದಾರಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಕೆಂಪು ಬಣ್ಣವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚುವವನಿಗೂ ಕಷ್ಟ!
That saith, I will build me a roomy house, and ample chambers, and cutteth himself out windows, and ceileth it with cedar, and painteth it with colors.
15 “ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದೇವದಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲು ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆಯೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಉಂಡು, ಕುಡಿದು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
Shalt thou reign, because thou strivest to excel with cedar buildings? behold, thy father ate and drank, but he executed justice and righteousness: then was it well with him!
16 ಬಡವನ ಮತ್ತು ದರಿದ್ರನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಯಿತು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇದೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then was it well: is not this the proper knowledge of me? saith the Lord.
17 “ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ದುರ್ಲಾಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪರಾಧವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ರಕ್ತ ಚೆಲ್ಲುವುದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೀಡೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು, ಮತ್ಯಾವುದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
But thy eyes and thy heart are directed on nothing but upon thy own gain, and upon innocent blood to shed it, and upon oppression, and upon extortion, to practise them.
18 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಗೋಳಾಡಿ, ‘ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನೇ, ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯೇ,’ ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ‘ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ದೊರೆಯೇ, ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಅವನ ವೈಭವವೇ,’ ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಗೋಳಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord concerning Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah, They shall not lament for him, with, “Woe, my brother!” and, “Woe, sister!” they shall not lament for him, with “Woe, lord!” and, “Woe, to his glory!”
19 ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಡುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಡುವರು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಬಿಸಾಡುವರು.”
With the burial of an ass shall he be buried, dragged about and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
20 “ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೂಗು, ಬಾಷಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನೆತ್ತು, ಅಬಾರೀಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರು ನಾಶವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Ascend the Lebanon, and cry aloud; and let thy voice resound in Bashan; and cry aloud from 'Aharim; for crushed are all thy lovers.
21 ನಿನ್ನ ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು, ‘ನಾನು ಕೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ ಇರುವುದೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಯೌವನದ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
I spoke unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy very youth, that thou didst not hearken to my voice.
22 ನಿನ್ನ ಕುರುಬರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಳಿ ಅಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು. ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವರು. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಿನಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯೂ, ಅವಮಾನವೂ ಆಗುವುದು.
The wind shall scatter abroad all thy shepherds, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded because of all thy wickedness.
23 ಓ, ‘ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ’ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವಳೇ, ದೇವದಾರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೂಡು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೇನೆಗಳೂ, ಹೆರುವವಳಂತಿರುವ ವೇದನೆಯೂ ಬರುವಾಗ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ದುಃಖಕರವಾಗಿರುವೆ.
O inhabitress of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how full of grace wilt thou be! when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!
24 “ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಕೊನ್ಯನು ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಉಂಗುರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕಿ,
As I live, saith the Lord, though Conyahu the son of Jehoyakim the king of Judah were a signet upon my right hand, yet for a surety would I thence pluck thee;
25 ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರ ಕೈಗೂ, ನೀನು ಹೆದರಿಕೊಂಡವರ ಕೈಗೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಕೈಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಯ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
And I will give thee into the hand of those that seek thy life, and into the hand of those of whom thou art afraid, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
26 ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆತ್ತ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಹುಟ್ಟದಿರುವ ಬೇರೆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ನೀವು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯುವಿರಿ.
And I will hurl thee out, and thy mother that hath born thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.
27 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲಾರರು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
But to the land whitherward they direct their soul to return, thither shall they not return.
28 ಕೊನ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹೀನವಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದುಹೋದ ಮಡಿಕೆಯೆ? ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯೆ? ಏಕೆ ಕೊನ್ಯನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವೂ ಬೀದಿಪಾಲಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ತಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಗಡಿಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ?
Is this man Conyahu a despised broken image? or a vessel without value? wherefore are they hurled out, he and his seed, and are cast forth into a land which they know not?
29 ಓ ದೇಶವೇ, ದೇಶವೇ, ದೇಶವೇ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು.
O land, land, land! hear the word of the Lord.
30 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವನೆಂದೂ, ತನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವ ಪುರುಷನಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ಬರೆಯಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಾಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
Thus hath said the Lord, Write ye down this man as childless, as a man that shall not prosper in his days; for no man of his seed shall succeed to sit upon the throne of David, and to rule any more in Judah.
