ಯೆಶಾಯನು 8
1 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, “ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸುರುಳಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಲೇಖನಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಮಹೇರ್ ಶಾಲಾಲ್ ಹಾಷ್ ಬಜ್, ಎಂದರೆ ಸೂರೆಗೆ ಆತುರ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಗೆ ಅವಸರ ಎಂದು ಬರೆ,” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And the Lord said to me: “Take up for yourself a large book, and with a man’s pen write in it: ‘Take away the spoils quickly; plunder swiftly.’”
2 ನಾನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಊರೀಯನನ್ನೂ ಯೆಬೆರೆಕ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಜೆಕರ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.
And I summoned to myself faithful witnesses: Uriah, the priest, and Zechariah, the son of Berechiah.
3 ಅನಂತರ ನಾನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿನಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲು, ಆಕೆಯು ಗರ್ಭಧರಿಸಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಗಂಡುಮಗುನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ, “ಆ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ, ಮಹೇರ್ ಶಾಲಾಲ್ ಹಾಷ್ ಬಜ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡು, ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And I joined with the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. And the Lord said to me: “Call his name: ‘Rush to take away the spoils; Hurry to be plundered.’
4 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆ ಮಗುವು, ‘ಅಪ್ಪಾ’ ಅಥವಾ ‘ಅಮ್ಮಾ’ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನು ದಮಸ್ಕದ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಸೂರೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು” ಎಂದರು.
For before the boy knows how to call to his father and his mother, the strength of Damascus and the spoils of Samaria will be taken away, in the sight of the king of the Assyrians.”
5 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ನನಗೆ,
And the Lord spoke to me further, saying:
6 “ಈ ಜನರು ಮೆಲ್ಲಗೆ ಹರಿಯುವ ಸಿಲೋವದ ನೀರನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ, ರೆಚೀನನನ್ನೂ ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನನ್ನೂ ನೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೆರೆದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ,
“Because this people has cast aside the waters of Shiloah, which go forth silently, and has instead chosen Rezin and the son of Remaliah,
7 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಾದ ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತಾಪದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನೆಂಬ ಮಹಾನದಿಯ ರಭಸವಾದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರವಾಹವನ್ನು ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅದು ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಳಗೊಂಡು ದಡಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೀರಿ,
for this reason, behold, the Lord will lead over them the waters of a river, strong and plentiful: the king of the Assyrians with all his glory. And he will rise up throughout all his streams, and he will overflow all his banks.
8 ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನುಗ್ಗಿ, ತುಂಬಿತುಳುಕಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಕತ್ತಿನವರೆಗೂ ಏರುವುದು. ಇಮ್ಮಾನುಯೇಲನೇ, ಆ ಅರಸನ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳು ಹರಡಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶದ ಅಗಲವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುವು.”
And he will pass through Judah, inundating it, and he will cross over and arrive, even at its neck. And he will extend his wings, filling the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.”
9 ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೇ, ನೀವು ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸಿರಿ, ಆದರೂ ಚದರಿಹೋಗುವಿರಿ! ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೂರ ದೇಶದವರೇ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ. ನಡುಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಆದರೂ ಚದರಿಹೋಗುವಿರಿ! ನಡುಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಆದರೂ ಚದರಿಹೋಗುವಿರಿ!
O people, gather together, and be conquered! All distant lands, listen! Be strengthened, and be conquered! Gird yourselves, and be conquered!
10 ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಅದು ಮುರಿದು ಹೋಗುವುದು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿರಿ, ಆದರೆ ಅದು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
Undertake a plan, and it will be dissipated! Speak a word, and it will not be done! For God is with us.
11 ನಾನು ಈ ಜನರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬಾರದೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಕೈಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ನನಗೆ,
For the Lord said this to me, and he has instructed this to me with a strong hand, lest I go forth in the way of this people, saying:
12 “ಇವರು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಒಳಸಂಚು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೋ, ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ಒಳಸಂಚು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಅವರ ಭಯಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹೆದರಬೇಡಿರಿ.
“You should not say ‘It is conspiracy!’ For all that this people speaks is a conspiracy. And you should not be frightened or alarmed with their fear.
13 ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ನೀವು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಕಾದುದು ಅವರಿಗೇ, ನೀವು ಹೆದರಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದು ಅವರಿಗೇ.
Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself. Let him be your dread, and let him be your fear.
14 ಅವರೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿರುವರು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಯಹೂದ ಎರಡು ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಡವುವ ಕಲ್ಲೂ, ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸುವ ಬಂಡೆಯೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲೆಯೂ, ಬೋನೂ ಆಗಿರುವರು.
And so shall he be a sanctification to you. But he will be a stone of offense and a rock of scandal to the two houses of Israel, and a snare and a ruin to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15 ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಎಡವಿಬೀಳುವರು, ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸಿ ಮೂಳೆ ಮುರಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ಬಲೆಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬೀಳುವರು.”
And very many of them will stumble and fall, and they will be broken and entangled and seized.
16 ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಡು, ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಳಗೆ ದೇವರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಮುದ್ರಿಸು.
Bind the testimony, seal the law, among my disciples.”
17 ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ವಂಶದವರಿಗೆ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡು ಎದುರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು. ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವೆನು.
And I will wait for the Lord, who has concealed his face from the house of Jacob, and I will stand before him.
18 ಇಗೋ, ನಾನೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಗುರುತುಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
Behold: I and my children, whom the Lord has given to me as a sign and a portent, in Israel, from the Lord of hosts, who lives on Mount Zion.
19 ಲೊಚಗುಟ್ಟುವ, ಪಿಸುಮಾತಾಡುವ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರನ್ನೂ; ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವರನ್ನೂ ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವಾಗ, ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನೇ ಹುಡುಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಜೀವಿತರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವುದುಂಟೋ?
And though they say to you, “Seek from seers and diviners,” they who hiss in their incantations, should not the people seek from their God, for the sake of the living, and not from the dead?
20 ದೇವರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುವ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ಹೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಜಾವಿನ ಬೆಳಕು ಮೂಡಿಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
And this is, moreover, for the sake of the law and the testimony. But if they do not speak according to this Word, then he will not have the morning light.
21 ಅವರು ಘೋರಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿ ಹಸಿದು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆಯುವರು. ಅವರು ಹಸಿದಾಗ ರೇಗಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜನನ್ನೂ, ದೇವರನ್ನೂ ಶಪಿಸಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡುವರು.
And he will pass by it; he will fall and become hungry. And when he is hungry, he will become angry, and he will speak evil against his king and his God, and he will lift himself upward.
22 ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದರೂ, ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟೆಂಬ ಕತ್ತಲೂ, ಸಂಕಟವೆಂಬ ಅಂಧಕಾರವೂ ಕವಿದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು, ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ದೂಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
And he will gaze downward to the earth, and behold: tribulation and darkness, dissolution and distress, and a pursuing gloom. For he will not be able to fly away from its distress.
