ಯೆಶಾಯನು 53
1 ನಮ್ಮ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾರು ನಂಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಬಾಹುವು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಯಿತು?
Who would have believed our report? and the arm of the Lord—over whom hath it been revealed?
2 ಅವನು ಚಿಗುರಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಒಣ ನೆಲದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಬರುವ ಬೇರಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವಾಗಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಘನತೆಯಾಗಲಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ, ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಯಾವ ಚಂದವು ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Yea, he grew up like a small shoot before him, and as a root out of a dry land: he had no form nor comeliness, so that we should look at him; and no countenance, so that we should desire him.
3 ಆತನು ತಿರಸ್ಕೃತನೂ ಮಾನವಕುಲದಿಂದ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಲಾದವನೂ, ದುಃಖಿತ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ, ನೋವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು. ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಖಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನಿಂದ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆವು. ಆತನು ಧಿಕ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು. ನಾವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಲ್ಪವಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿದೆವು.
He was despised and shunned by men; a man of pains, and acquainted with disease; and as one who hid his face from us was he despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮ ನೋವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು; ಹೌದು, ನಮ್ಮ ದುಃಖಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದರೂ ನಾವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪೆಟ್ಟು ತಿಂದವನು, ದೇವರಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಹೊಂದಿದವನು, ಬಾಧೆಪಟ್ಟವನು ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು.
But only our diseases did he bear himself, and our pains he carried: while we indeed esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 ನಮ್ಮ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆತನು ತಿವಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದನು. ನಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಆತನು ಜಜ್ಜಿಹೋದನು. ನಮಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ತಂದ ದಂಡನೆಯು ಆತನ ಮೇಲಿತ್ತು. ಆತನ ಗಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಗುಣವಾಯಿತು.
Yet he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon him; and through his bruises was healing granted to us.
6 ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿದ ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಇದ್ದೆವು. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
We all like sheep went astray; every one to his own way did we turn; and the Lord let befall him the guilt of us all.
7 ಆತನು ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಾಧೆಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೂ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬಲಿಗೆ ಎಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಕುರಿಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಉಣ್ಣೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕುರಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಆತನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
He was oppressed, and he was also taunted, yet he opened not his mouth; like the lamb which is led to the slaughter, and like an ewe before her shearers is dumb; and he opened not his mouth.
8 ಆತನನ್ನು ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಎಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಆತನ ಕಾಲದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಮರುಗಿದರು? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಜೀವಿತರ ಲೋಕದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯ ದ್ರೋಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದನು.
Through oppression and through judicial punishment was he taken away; but his generation—who could tell, that he was cut away out of the land of life, [that] for the transgressions of my people the plague was laid on him?
9 ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ವಂಚನೆಯು ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವನು ಸತ್ತಾಗ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಪುಷ್ಟರ ನಡುವೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು.
And he let his grave be made with the wicked, and with the [godless] rich at his death; although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.
10 ಆದರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜುವುದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸಂಕಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆತನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ದೋಷಪರಿಹಾರದ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ, ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವನು. ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವು ಆತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲವಾಗುವುದು.
But the Lord was pleased to crush him through disease: when [now] his soul hath brought the trespass-offering, then shall he see [his] seed, live many days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ವೇದನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಜೀವದ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗುವನು. ತನ್ನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುವನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನೇ ಅವರ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
[Freed] from the trouble of his soul shall he see [the good] and be satisfied: through his knowledge shall my righteous servant bring the many to righteousness, while he will bear their iniquities.
12 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಆತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೊಡ್ಡವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಮರಣದವರೆಗೂ ಹೊಯ್ದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಎಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅನೇಕರ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the many, and with the strong shall he divide the spoil; because he poured out his soul unto death, and with transgressors was he numbered: while he bore the sin of many, and for the transgressors he let [evil] befall him.
