ಯೆಶಾಯನು 44
1 “ಈಗಲಾದರೋ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ಕೇಳು:
And now, hear, O Jacob, My servant, And Israel, whom I have fixed on:
2 ನಿನ್ನ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ, ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದಲೂ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು, ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ನಾನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡ ಯೆಶುರೂನೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ.
Thus said Jehovah, thy Maker, and thy Former, From the womb He doth help thee; Fear not, my servant Jacob, And Jeshurun, whom I have fixed on.
3 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಬಾಯಾರಿದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವೆನು. ಒಣನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವಂಥದ್ದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನೂ ಸುರಿಸುವೆನು.
For I pour waters on a thirsty one, And floods on a dry land, I pour My Spirit on thy seed, And My blessing on thine offspring.
4 ನೀರಿನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಹಸಿರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ನಡುವೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ನೀರವಂಜಿಗಳಂತೆ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವರು.
And they have sprung up as among grass, As willows by streams of water.
5 ಒಬ್ಬನು, ‘ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನವನು,’ ಅನ್ನುವನು, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು ನಾನು, ‘ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಹೆಸರಿನವನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯ ಮೇಲೆ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಂತ,’ ಎಂದು ಬರೆಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅಡ್ಡಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
This [one] saith, For Jehovah I [am], And this calleth [himself] by the name of Jacob, And this [one] writeth [with] his hand, 'For Jehovah,' and by the name of Israel surnameth himself.
6 “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ವಿಮೋಚಕನೂ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ: ನಾನೇ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು, ನಾನೇ ಕಡೆಯವನು. ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ದೇವರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Thus said Jehovah, king of Israel, And his Redeemer, Jehovah of Hosts: 'I [am] the first, and I the last, And besides Me there is no God.
7 ನಾನು ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದವರನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರೆದು, ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದವನು ಯಾರು? ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿ.
And who as I, doth call and declare it, And arrange it for Me, Since My placing the people of antiquity, And things that are coming, And those that do come, declare they to them?
8 ಹೆದರಬೇಡ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ! ನಾನು ಪೂರ್ವದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅಂತೂ ನೀವೇ ನನ್ನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು. ನಾನಲ್ಲದೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ದೇವರು ಇದ್ದಾನೋ? ಇಲ್ಲ, ಇನ್ನು ಯಾವ ದೇವರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರೂ ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.”
Fear not, nor be afraid, Have I not from that time caused thee to hear, and declared? And ye [are] My witnesses, Is there a God besides Me? yea, there is none, A Rock I have not known.
9 ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತುವವರು ನಿರರ್ಥಕರು. ಅವರ ಇಷ್ಟ ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಏತಕ್ಕೂ ಬಾರವು. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿಡುವವರು ಕುರುಡರು, ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದವರು. ಅಂಥವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವರು.
Framers of a graven image [are] all of them emptiness, And their desirable things do not profit, And their own witnesses they [are], They see not, nor know, that they may be ashamed.
10 ದೇವರನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದವರೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ಯುವವರು ಎಂಥವರು?
Who hath formed a god, And a molten image poured out — not profitable?
11 ಅವನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಯ ಕೆಲಸದವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಮಾತ್ರದವರೇ. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ. ಅವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಲಜ್ಜೆಪಡುವರು.
Lo, all his companions are ashamed, As to artisans — they [are] of men, All of them gather together, they stand up, They fear, they are ashamed together.
12 ಕಮ್ಮಾರನು ಸಲಕರಣೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನು ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ತನ್ನ ತೋಳಿನ ಬಲದಿಂದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನು ಹಸಿದು ಬಲಹೀನನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯದೇ ದಣಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He hath wrought iron [with] an axe, And hath wrought with coals, And with hammers doth form it, And doth work it by his powerful arm, Yea, he is hungry, and there is no power, He doth not drink water, and he is wearied.
13 ಬಡಗಿಯು ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ನೂಲನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಮೊಳೆಯಿಂದ ಗೆರೆ ಎಳೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಉಳಿಬಾಚಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕೈವಾರದಿಂದ ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಆಮೇಲೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು, ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಲು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಅಂದದಂತೆ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He hath wrought [with] wood, He hath stretched out a rule, He doth mark it out with a line, He maketh it with carving tools, And with a compass he marketh it out, And maketh it according to the form of a man, According to the beauty of a man, To remain in the house.
14 ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಮರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವದಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು, ತುರಾಯಿ, ಸೈಪ್ರಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಏಲಾ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಪೀತದಾರ ಮರವನ್ನು ಅವನು ನೆಡಲು, ಮಳೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯಿಸುವುದು.
Cutting down to himself cedars, He taketh also a cypress, and an oak, And he strengtheneth [it] for himself Among the trees of a forest, He hath planted an ash, and the shower doth nourish [it].
15 ಆಗ ಅದು ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಉರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ಚಳಿಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿ, ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸುಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಅದರಿಂದ ಒಂದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡ ಬೀಳುವನು.
And it hath been for man to burn, And he taketh of them, and becometh warm, Yea, he kindleth [it], and hath baked bread, Yea, he maketh a god, and boweth himself, He hath made it a graven image, And he falleth down to it.
16 ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉರಿಸುವನು. ಅದರ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಉಣ್ಣುವನು. ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ತೃಪ್ತಿಹೊಂದುವನು. ಅವನು ಚಳಿಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ, ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆ, ಬೆಚ್ಚಗಾಯಿತು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
Half of it he hath burnt in the fire, By [this] half of it he eateth flesh, He roasteth a roasting, and is satisfied, Yea, he is warm, and saith: 'Aha, I have become warm, I have enjoyed the light.
17 ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, “ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು,” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
And its remnant for a god he hath made — For his graven image, He falleth down to it, and worshippeth, And prayeth unto it, and he saith, 'Deliver me, for my god thou [art].'
18 ಅವರು ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದವರು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಏನೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾರದವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕಾಣದಂತೆಯೂ, ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಗ್ರಹಿಸದಂತೆಯೂ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
They have not known, nor do they understand, For He hath daubed their eyes from seeing, Their heart from acting wisely.
19 “ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉರಿಸಿದೆನು. ಹೌದು, ಅದರ ಕೆಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಮಾಡಿ, ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ತಿಂದೆನಲ್ಲಾ. ಮಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲೋ? ಮರದ ತುಂಡಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳಬಹುದೋ?” ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಷ್ಟು ಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿವೇಕಗಳು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥೈಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
And none doth turn [it] back unto his heart, Nor hath knowledge nor understanding to say, 'Half of it I have burned in the fire, Yea, also, I have baked bread over its coals, I roast flesh and I eat, And its remnant for an abomination I make, To the stock of a tree I fall down.'
20 ಅವನು ತಿನ್ನುವುದು ಬೂದಿಯೇ. ಮೋಸಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ, ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಆಗದು. ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಅವನಿಂದಾಗದು.
Feeding on ashes, the heart is deceived, It hath turned him aside, And he delivereth not his soul, nor saith: 'Is there not a lie in my right hand?'
21 “ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ! ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೋ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿದ್ದೀ. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದೆನು. ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡೆನು.
Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel, For My servant thou [art], I formed thee, a servant to Me thou [art], O Israel, thou dost not forget Me.
22 ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮೋಡದಂತೆ ಅಳಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯ ಮಂಜಿನಂತೆ ಹಾರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೋ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.”
I have blotted out, as [by] a thick cloud, Thy transgressions, And as [by] a cloud thy sins, Return unto Me, for I have redeemed thee.
23 ಆಕಾಶಗಳೇ, ಹರ್ಷಧ್ವನಿಗೈಯಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಾನೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕೆಳಭಾಗವೇ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸು. ಪರ್ವತಗಳೇ, ವನವೇ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳೇ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಧ್ವನಿ ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯಾಕೋಬನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Sing, O heavens, for Jehovah hath wrought, Shout, O lower parts of earth, Break forth, O mountains, with singing, Forest, and every tree in it, For Jehovah hath redeemed Jacob, And in Israel He doth beautify Himself.
24 “ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ರೂಪಿಸಿದವರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚಕರೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಾನೇ. ನಾನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ವಿಶಾಲವಾಗಿ ಹರಡಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Thus said Jehovah, thy redeemer, And thy framer from the womb: 'I [am] Jehovah, doing all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself, Spreading out the earth — who [is] with Me?
25 ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರರ ಗುರುತುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರರ್ಥಕ ಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕಣಿ ಹೇಳುವವರನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿ, ಅವರ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನವಾಗ ಮಾಡುವವನೂ
Making void the tokens of devisers, And diviners it maketh mad, Turning the wise backward, And their knowledge it maketh foolish.
26 ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವವನು, ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ದೂತರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವವನು. “ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ನಿವಾಸವಾಗುವೆ,’ ಯೆಹೂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ, ‘ಅವು ಪುನಃ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗುವುದು,’ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಹಾಳು ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ಪುನಃಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವವನು,
Confirming the word of His servant, The counsel of His messengers it perfecteth, Who is saying of Jerusalem, She is inhabited, And of cities of Judah, They shall be built, and her wastes I raise up,
27 ಅಗಾಧಕ್ಕೆ, ‘ಒಣಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು,’ ‘ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಣಗಿಸುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುವವನೂ;
Who is saying to the deep, Be dry, and thy rivers I cause to dry up,
28 ಕೋರೆಷನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುವೆನು, ‘ನನ್ನ ಕುರುಬನು, ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪೂರೈಸುವವನು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಪುನಃ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗುವೆ,” ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಹಾಕಲಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುವವನೂ ನಾನೇ.’
Who is saying of Cyrus, My shepherd, And all my delight He doth perfect, So as to say of Jerusalem, Thou art built, And of the temple, Thou art founded.
