ಯೆಶಾಯನು 40

1 ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ, ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

"Comfort, comfort my people," says your God.

2 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀವು ಮೃದುವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿರಿ. ಅದರ ಕಠಿಣ ಸೇವೆ ತೀರಿತೆಂದೂ, ಅದರ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ, ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿರಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾಯಿತು.

"Speak tenderly to Jerusalem; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins."

3 “ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆಮಾಡಿರಿ.

The voice of one who calls out in the wilderness, "Prepare the way of the LORD. Make his roads straight.

4 ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಹಳ್ಳಕೊಳ್ಳಗಳನ್ನು ಮಟ್ಟಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ನೆಲಸಮವಾಗಬೇಕು. ಒರಟಾದ ನೆಲವು ಸಮವಾಗಬೇಕು.

Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be made low, and the uneven will be made level, and the rough places a plain.

5 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಗೋಚರವಾಗುವುದು. ಮಾನವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ ಇದನ್ನು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.”

And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity will see the salvation of God together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken."

6 ವಾಣಿಯು, “ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗು,” ಎಂದಿತು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ, “ನಾನು ಏನೆಂದು ಕೂಗಲಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, “ನರಜಾತಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಸೊಬಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಲದ ಹೂವಿನಂತಿದೆ,

The voice of one saying, "Cry." And I said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.

7 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಶ್ವಾಸವು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಸುವುದರಿಂದ, ಹುಲ್ಲು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುವುದು. ಹೂವು ಉದುರಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು. ಮಾನವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹುಲ್ಲೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The grass withers, the flower fades, because the LORD's breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.

8 ಹುಲ್ಲು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುವುದು, ಹೂವು ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವುದು. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವಾದರೋ ಸದಾಕಾಲ ಇರುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರವಾಯಿತು.

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of the LORD stands forever."

9 ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಚೀಯೋನೇ, ನೀನು ಉನ್ನತ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಏರು. ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ಬಲವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಧ್ವನಿ ಎತ್ತು, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ. ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರು!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು.

You who tell good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength. Lift it up. Do not be afraid. Say to the cities of Judah, "Look, your God."

10 ಇಗೋ, ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರುವರು. ಅವರ ತೋಳು ತಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಳುವುದು. ಅವರ ಬಹುಮಾನವು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಇದೆ.

Look, the LORD will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Look, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

11 ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರುಬನಂತೆ ಮೇಯಿಸುವರು. ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಎದೆಗಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ಎಳೆಯ ಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಲ್ಲಗೆ ನಡಿಸುವರು.

He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.

12 ಸಮುದ್ರದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬರಿದಾದ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅಳತೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನೂ, ಆಕಾಶಗಳ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನು ಗೇಣಿನಿಂದ ಅಳೆದವನೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಅಳತೆಮಾಡಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡವನೂ, ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನೂ, ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯಿಂದ ತೂಗಿದವನೂ ಯಾರು?

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

13 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವನು ಯಾರು? ಸಲಹೆಗಾರನಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದವನು ಯಾರು?

Who has known the mind of the LORD, or who has instructed him as his counselor?

14 ತನಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ದೊರೆಯಲು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯಾರ ವಿಚಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಿದವನು ಯಾರು? ಆತನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಿದವನಾರು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದವನಾರು?

From whom did he take counsel with, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding? Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?

15 ಇಗೋ, ಆತನ ಎಣಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಕಪಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಉದುರುವ ತುಂತುರಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಧೂಳಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ. ದ್ವೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ಅಣುರೇಣುವಿನಂತೆ ಆತನು ಎತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Look, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.

16 ಲೆಬನೋನು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ಸಾಲದು: ಅದರ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಧನವು.

Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering.

17 ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಿವೆ. ಅವು ಆತನ ಎಣಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂನ್ಯವಾಗಿಯೂ, ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇವೆ.

All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity.

18 ಹೀಗಿರಲು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುವಿರಿ? ಅಥವಾ ಯಾವ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ?

To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?

19 ಕಂಚುಗಾರನು ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಕವಚವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸರಪಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕುವನು.

A workman has cast an image, and the goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts silver chains for it.

20 ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದ ಬಡವನು ಹುಳಿತುಹೋಗದ ಮರವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ, ಬಾಗಿಬೀಳದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

He who is too impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot. He seeks a skillful workman to set up an engraved image for him that will not be moved.

21 ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನೀವು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆದಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಭೂಮಿಯು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದಂದಿನಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

Haven't you known? Haven't you heard, yet? Haven't you been told from the beginning? Haven't you understood from the foundations of the earth?

22 ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಂತೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವ ಗುಡಾರದಂತೆ ಹರಡಿ, ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮಿಡತೆಯಂತೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಭೂವೃತ್ತದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತಿರುವಾತನು ಆತನೇ.

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;

23 ಅದು ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ನಾಮ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶೂನ್ಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

who brings princes to nothing; who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.

24 ಇವರು ನೆಟ್ಟಕೂಡಲೇ, ಬಿತ್ತಿದಾಕ್ಷಣವೇ, ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೂರಿದಾಗಲೇ, ಆತನ ಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಊದಿದಾಗಲೇ ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವರು. ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಇವರನ್ನು ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು.

They are planted scarcely. They are sown scarcely. Their stock has scarcely taken root in the ground. He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.

25 ಹೀಗಿರಲು, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿ ಸರಿಸಮಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವರು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

"To whom then will you liken me? Who is my equal?" says the Holy One.

26 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ. ಇಗೋ, ಈ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾತನು ಯಾರು? ಆತನೇ ತನ್ನ ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಅವುಗಳ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುವನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಅತಿ ಬಲಾಢ್ಯನೂ ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಒಂದೂ ತಪ್ಪದು.

Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their host by number. He calls them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

27 ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಂದ ದಾಟಿಹೋಯಿತಲ್ಲಾ! ಎಂದು ಯಾಕೋಬೇ ಏಕೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ? ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ ಏಕೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೀ?

Why do you say, Jacob, and why do you assert, Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?"

28 ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನೀನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿರಂತರವಾದ ದೇವರೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದವನೂ ದಣಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಬಳಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯು ಪರಿಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಅಗಮ್ಯ.

And now, haven't you known? Haven't you heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the farthest parts of the earth, doesn't faint. He isn't weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

29 ಆತನು ದಣಿದವನಿಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಬಲಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಬಹುಬಲವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

30 ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರೋ ದಣಿದು ಬಳಲುವರು ಮತ್ತು ತರುಣರು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬೀಳುವರು.

Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;

31 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರೋ ಹೊಸ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು. ಅವರು ಹದ್ದುಗಳಂತೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಏರುವರು. ಅವರು ಓಡಿ ದಣಿಯರು. ನಡೆದು ಬಳಲರು.

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
