ಯೆಶಾಯನು 38
1 ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ರೋಗದಿಂದ ಮರಣಾವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಆಮೋಚನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೋ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಬದುಕದೆ ಸಾಯುವೆ, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
In those days Hezekiah was sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus saith Jehovah: Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 ಆಗ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಗೋಡೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.
And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Jehovah,
3 “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಸತ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ವ್ಯಥೆಪಟ್ಟು ಅತ್ತನು.
and said, Ah, Jehovah, remember, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept much.
4 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು,
And the word of Jehovah came to Isaiah, saying,
5 “ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Go and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father: I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add to thy days fifteen years.
6 ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವೆನು.
And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
7 “‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಾವು ನುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವರು ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವೆ.
And this [shall be] the sign to thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do this thing that he hath spoken:
8 ಇಗೋ, ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಇಳಿತವನ್ನು ಆಹಾಜನ ಸೋಪಾನ ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದು,’” ಎಂದನು. ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿತು.
behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees which hath gone down with the sun on the dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned on the dial ten degrees, by which it had gone down.
9 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ರೋಗದಿಂದ ಗುಣಹೊಂದಿದ ನಂತರ ಬರೆದದ್ದು:
The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and had recovered from his sickness:
10 “ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾನು ಪಾತಾಳದ ದ್ವಾರದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು. ನನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದು ಉಳಿದ ವರುಷಗಳು ನನಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಯಿತು,” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು. (Sheol h7585)
I said, In the meridian of my days I shall go to the gates of Sheol: I am deprived of the rest of my years. (Sheol h7585)
11 ನಾನು ಹೀಗೆ ಯೋಚಿಸಿದೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಜೀವಿತರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕಾಣೆನೆಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಭೂಲೋಕ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣೆನೆಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
I said, I shall not see Jah, Jah in the land of the living. With those who dwell where all has ceased to be, I shall behold man no more.
12 ನನ್ನ ಆಶ್ರಯವು ಕುರುಬನ ಗುಡಾರದಂತೆ ಕಿತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಒಯ್ಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯದ ಹಾಸನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೆಯಿಗೆಯವನಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಹಗಲುರಾತ್ರಿ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಂತ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.
Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent. I have cut off like a weaver my life. He separateth me from the thrum: — from day to night thou wilt make an end of me.
13 ಹೌದು, ದೇವರು ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ, ಬೆಳಗಿನತನಕ ತಡೆದುಕೊಂಡೇ ಇದ್ದೆನು. ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಂತ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹಗಲುರಾತ್ರಿ ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸಿದೆನು.
I kept still until the morning; ...as a lion, so doth he break all my bones. From day to night thou wilt make an end of me.
14 ನಾನು ಬಾನಕ್ಕಿಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಬಕದಂತೆಯೂ ಕೀಚುಗುಟ್ಟಿದೆನು. ಪಾರಿವಾಳದಂತೆ ಗುಬ್ಬಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು. ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾದವು. ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯರಾಗಿರಿ.”
Like a swallow [or] a crane, so did I chatter; I mourned as a dove; mine eyes failed [with looking] upward: Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
15 ಆದರೆ, ನಾನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ, ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಮಾತುಕೊಟ್ಟು, ತಾನೇ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ದುಃಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ವರುಷಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿನಯದಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುವೆನು.
What shall I say? He hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done [it]. I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
16 ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ, ಇಂಥಾ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವವುಂಟು. ಹೀಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿ ಬದುಕುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ.
Lord, by these things [men] live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit; and thou hast recovered me, and made me to live.
17 ಆ ಬಹು ವ್ಯಥೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಆಯಿತು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಾಶದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯೇ. ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆನ್ನಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.
Behold, instead of peace I had bitterness upon bitterness; but thou hast in love delivered my soul from the pit of destruction; for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
18 ಸಮಾಧಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮರಣವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸತ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡಲಾರರು. (Sheol h7585)
For not Sheol shall praise thee, nor death celebrate thee; they that go down into the pit do not hope for thy truth. (Sheol h7585)
19 ಜೀವಂತನು; ಜೀವಂತನೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವೆನು. ಹೌದು, ಜೀವಂತನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುವೆನು. ತಂದೆಯು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವನು.
The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
20 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವಮಾನದ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಂತಿವಾದ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಹಾಡುವೆವು.
Jehovah was [purposed] to save me. — And we will play upon my stringed instruments all the days of our life, in the house of Jehovah.
21 “ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಉಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ತರಿಸಿ, ಹುಣ್ಣಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ, ಅವನು ಗುಣಹೊಂದುವನು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Now Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster upon the boil, and he shall recover.
22 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು, “ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಗುರುತೇನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದನು.
And Hezekiah had said, What is the sign that I shall go up into the house of Jehovah?
