ಯೆಶಾಯನು 10
1 ಅನೀತಿಯ ನೇಮಕಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿ, ಕ್ರೂರವಾದ ಕಾನೂನುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆಯುವವರಿಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ!
Woe unto them that decree iniquitous decrees, and to the writers that prescribe oppression,
2 ಇವರು ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡಿ, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಂದ ಸುಲಿದುಕೊಂಡು ದೀನರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡವರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
to turn away the poor from judgment, and to take away the right from the afflicted of my people; that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
3 ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ದೂರದಿಂದ ಬರುವ ನಾಶನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀವು ಏನು ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ? ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಯಾರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಓಡುವಿರಿ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುವಿರಿ?
And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the sudden destruction [which] shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help, and where will ye leave your glory?
4 ನಾನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೈದಿಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಮುದುರಿಕೊಂಡು, ಹತರಾಗಿರುವವರ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದೇ ಇವರ ಗತಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದರೂ ಅವರ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ, ಅವರ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
They can but crouch under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.
5 “ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪದ ಕೋಲಾದ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯವೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೆತ್ತವು ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪವೇ.
Ah! the Assyrian! the rod of mine anger! and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
6 ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡಿ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು ಬೀದಿಯ ಕೆಸರನ್ನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ತುಳಿದುಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.
I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge; to take the spoil, and to seize the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 ಅದರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವೋ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ. ಅದರ ಹೃದಯವು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವುದು ಕೊಂಚವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದು ಅದರ ಹೃದಯದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವು.
But he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; for it is in his heart to extirpate and cut off nations not a few.
8 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು, ‘ನನ್ನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜರಲ್ಲವೇ?
For he saith, Are not my princes all kings?
9 ಕಲ್ನೋ, ಕರ್ಕೆಮೀಷಿನ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲವೋ? ಹಮಾತ್ ಅರ್ಪಾದಿನ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲವೇ? ಸಮಾರ್ಯವು ದಮಸ್ಕದ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲವೋ?
Is not Calno as Karkemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?
10 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದಂತೆ,
As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, — and their graven images exceeded those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
11 ನಾನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆಯೇ?’”
— shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her images?
12 ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, “ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನ ಹೃದಯದ ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು, ಅವನ ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಘನತೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನು.”
And it shall come to pass, when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and upon Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stoutness of heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
13 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯ ತನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು, “‘ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯ ಬಲದಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದಲೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ವಿವೇಕಿ. ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು, ಅವರ ನಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು, ಅದರ ಅರಸರನ್ನು ಮಹಾವೀರನಂತೆ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done [it], and by my wisdom, for I am intelligent; and I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and, like a valiant man, I have brought down them that sit [on thrones];
14 ಜನರ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ಗೂಡಿನಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ; ಹಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದ ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವಂತೆ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ರೆಕ್ಕೆಯಾಡಿಸಿ ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದು ಕೀಚುಗುಟ್ಟಲು ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.’”
and my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the peoples, and as one gathereth forsaken eggs, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or chirped.
15 ಕೊಡಲಿಯು ಕಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡೀತೆ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಗರಗಸವು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯುವವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೀತೆ? ಕೋಲು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಬೀಸುವಂತೆ ಕೋಲು ಹಿಡಿದವನನ್ನೇ ಹೊಡೆದಂತಾಯಿತು! ನಿರ್ಜೀವ ಬೆತ್ತ ಸಜೀವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನೇ ಬಡಿದಂತಾಯಿತು!
— Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? shall the saw magnify itself against him that wieldeth it? As if the rod should wield them that lift it up; as if the staff should lift up [him who is] not wood!
16 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಯೋಧರಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಯವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವರು, ದಹಿಸುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಂತಿರುವ ಉರಿಯೊಂದು ಅವನ ವೈಭವದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು.
Therefore shall the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness, and under his glory he shall kindle a burning, like the burning of a fire:
17 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಬೆಳಕು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಾಗುವುದು, ಅದರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರು ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯಂತಿರುವರು, ಅದು ಒಂದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಮುಳ್ಳು, ದತ್ತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವುದು.
and the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briars in one day,
18 ದೇಹಾತ್ಮದಂಥ ಅದರ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನವನ್ನೂ, ಫಲಭರಿತ ತೋಟದ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡುವುದು. ದೇಶವೋ ರೋಗಿಯಂತೆ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು.
and it shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body; and they shall be as when a sick man fainteth.
19 ಅವನ ಉಳಿದ ವನವೃಕ್ಷಗಳು ಮಗುವು ಬರೆಯುವಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.
And the remainder of the trees of his forest shall be few: yea, a child might write them.
20 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೂ, ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಮನೆತನದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರೂ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದವನ ಆಧಾರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಆಧಾರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the remnant of Israel and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob shall no more again rely upon him that smote them; but they shall rely upon Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21 ಉಳಿದವರು ಅಂದರೆ ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೂ ಸಹ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯಾದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವರು.
The remnant shall return, the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22 ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಉಸುಬಿನಂತಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವರು. ಅವರ ಅಳಿವು ಶಾಸನಬದ್ಧವಾದುದು; ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಸಮ್ಮತವಾದುದು.
For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, [only] a remnant of them shall return: the consumption determined shall overflow in righteousness.
23 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೆಂಬ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವವರು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇಶದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ವಿನಾಶವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವರು.
For a consumption, and [one] determined, will the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, accomplish in the midst of all the land.
24 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ನನ್ನ ಜನರೇ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನವರಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೋಲಿನಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು, ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.
Therefore thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts: O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian; he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt:
25 ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪವು ಅವರ ದಂಡನೆಗಾಗುವುದು; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರಿಹೋಗುವುದು.
for yet a very little while, and the indignation shall be accomplished, and mine anger, in their destruction.
26 ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಓರೇಬ್ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹತಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ, ಅವರು ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಚಿ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿದಂತೆ ಎತ್ತುವರು.
And Jehovah of hosts will stir up a scourge against him, according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; and his rod [shall be] upon the sea, and he will lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಹೊರಿಸಿದ ಹೊರೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆನ್ನಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ಹೂಡಿದ ನೊಗವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ತೊಲಗುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ನೀವು ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕಾರಣ ನೊಗವು ಮುರಿದು ಹೋಗುವುದು.
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck; and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. ...
28 ಅವರು ಅಯ್ಯಾಥಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಮಿಗ್ರೋನನ್ನು ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿ, ಮಿಕ್ಮಾಷಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
He is come to Aiath, he hath passed through Migron; at Michmash he layeth up his baggage.
29 ಅವರು ಕಣಿವೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಗಿಬೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಮಾ ಜನತೆ ಹೆದರುತ್ತಿದೆ; ಸೌಲನ ಗಿಬೆಯದ ಜನತೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿದೆ.
They are gone through the pass; they make their lodging at Geba: Ramah trembleth, Gibeah of Saul is fled.
30 ಗಲ್ಲೀಮ್ ಮಗಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ ಕೂಗು; ಬಡ ಅನಾತೋತೇ, ಲಯೆಷಿನವರೆಗೂ ಕೇಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೂಗು.
Lift up thy voice, daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laish! — Poor Anathoth!
31 ಮದ್ಮೇನ ದಿಕ್ಕುಪಾಲಾಯಿತು. ಗೆಬೀಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಲು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
Madmenah is fugitive; the inhabitants of Gebim take to flight.
32 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ನೋಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಚೀಯೋನ್ ನಗರಿಯ ಪರ್ವತದ ಕಡೆಗೆ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೈ ಬೀಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Still a day of halting at Nob; he shaketh his hand [against] the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. ...
33 ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ಆಗಿರುವ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಭಯಂಕರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವರು. ಉನ್ನತ ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳು ಕಡಿದು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೀಳುವುವು, ಎತ್ತರದ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಉರುಳಿಸುವರು.
Behold the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, shall lop the boughs with violence; and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be brought low;
34 ಅವರು ಅಡವಿಯ ಪೊದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಿಯಿಂದ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವರು. ಲೆಬನೋನು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯಾಗಿರುವವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವುದು.
and he shall make clearings in the thickets of the forest with iron; and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
