ಹೋಶೇಯನು 6
1 ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ. ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಮಾಡುವರು. ಅವರು ಹೊಡೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅವರೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವರು.
[The Israeli people say, ] “Come, let’s return to Yahweh! He has caused [us] to be injured, but he will heal us. He has caused [us] to be wounded, but [it is as though] he will put bandages on our wounds [MET].
2 ಅವರು ಎರಡು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪುನರ್ಜೀವಿಸ ಮಾಡುವನು. ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪುನಃಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವರು. ನಾವು ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವೆವು.
After a very short time he will revive us; in less than three days he will restore us in order that we may live in his presence.
3 ನಾವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರೆ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆವು. ಅವರ ಆಗಮನವು ಅರುಣೋದಯದಂತೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯ. ಅವರು ಮಳೆಯಂತೆಯೂ ಮುಂಗಾರಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ತಂಪು ಮಾಡುವ ಹಿಂಗಾರಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವರು.
We must try to know Yahweh; [if we do that, ] he will come [and help] us, as surely as the sun rises [every morning], as surely as rain falls every winter/cold season, and as surely as the rain falls again (in the springtime/at the end of the cold season).”
4 ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ನಾನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಲಿ? ಯೆಹೂದವೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ನಾನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಲಿ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆಯ ಮೇಘದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯ ಮಂಜಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಹೋಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ.
[But Yahweh knows they are insincere; ] [so he says to them, ] “You [people of] Israel, and you [people of] Judah, [I do not know] [RHQ] what I should do to you. Your being faithful [to me will disappear as quickly] as [SIM] the morning mist [disappears], like [SIM] the dew [on the ground] that disappears quickly [when the sun shines].
5 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜನರನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪುಗಳು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊರಟವು.
I warned [HYP] you by [the messages that I gave to] the prophets, [but you did not pay attention to my messages]. Therefore I will completely destroy you; the punishment that I give you will strike you like lightning.
6 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನೇ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ದೇವರ ಅಂಗೀಕಾರವನ್ನೇ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I want [my people] to faithfully love [me] more than [I want them to offer] sacrifices [to me]; [I want them] to know me more than [I want them to] completely burn sacrifices [on the altar].
7 ಅವರು ಆದಾಮನಂತೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಅಪನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
But they have refused to obey my agreement, [just] like Adam did; they have not been faithful to me.
8 ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವವರ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ಅಪವಿತ್ರಮಾಡಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
Gilead is a city [full] of people who do wicked things; [in the streets] are the bloody footprints [of those who have murdered others].
9 ದರೋಡೆಕೋರರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುವಂತೆ, ಯಾಜಕರ ಗುಂಪು ದಾರಿಹೋಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾ ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವವರನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ನೀಚತನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
The priests are like [SIM] bandits who wait (in ambushes/along the road) to attack people; they murder [people who are walking] on the road to Shechem, and they commit other disgraceful crimes.
10 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮಿನ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರವು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ಅಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.
I have seen horrible things [being done] in Israel [MTY]. The people have abandoned me [like prostitutes who have abandoned their husbands] [MET]; [so the people of] Israel have become unacceptable to me.
11 “ಯೆಹೂದವೇ, ನಿನಗೂ ಸಹ, ತಕ್ಕ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯು ನೇಮಕವಾಗಿದೆ. “ಸೆರೆಯಾದ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ, ಪುನಃಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾಗುವುದು.
And you [people of] Judah, I have appointed a time when I will punish [MET] you, too. Whenever I wanted to enable my people to prosper again,”
