ಹೋಶೇಯನು 13
1 “ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದರೆ ಬಾಳನ ಆರಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತನು.
When Ephraim, spake, there was terror, exalted was, he, in Israel, —but, when he became guilty with Baal, then he died.
2 ಈಗ ಅವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸ್ವಂತ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಎರಕದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕಮ್ಮಾರರ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವೇ. ಅವರು ನರಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಬಸವನ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಜನರು ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Now, therefore they go on to sin, and have made them a Molten Thing out of their silver, after the notion of idols, the workmanship of craftsmen, all of it! Of them, are they saying—Ye sacrificers of men! The Great Calf, shall ye surely kiss!
3 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾತಃಕಾಲದ ಮಂಜಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಬೇಗನೆ ಮಾಯವಾಗುವ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಸುಳಿಗಾಳಿಯು ಕಣದಿಂದ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಚಿಮಿಣಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಹೊಗೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರುವರು.
Therefore, shall they become like the morning cloud, and like the dew early departing, —like chaff storm-driven out of the threshing-floor, and like smoke out of a chimney.
4 ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಾಗಿನಿಂದ, ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಯಾವ ದೇವರನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ರಕ್ಷಕನು ಇಲ್ಲ.
Yet, I, Yahweh, have been thy God from the land of Egypt, —and, god beside me, shalt thou not acknowledge, for, saviour, is there none besides me.
5 ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಬಹು ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಯ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
I, tended thee in the desert, —in a land parched with drought:
6 ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು, ಅವರು ತೃಪ್ತರಾದರು. ಅವರು ತೃಪ್ತರಾದಾಗ, ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳಾದರು, ಅನಂತರ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
Whenever they were pastured, then were they satisfied, They were satisfied, and their heart, was lifted up, —because of this, they forgat me.
7 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಂಹದ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗುವೆನು. ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿರತೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುವೆನು.
Therefore am I become to them as a lion, —As a leopard by the way, do I watch.
8 ನಾನು ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಕರಡಿಯಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ಅವರ ಹೃದಯದ ಪೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಸಿಂಹದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನುಂಗುವೆನು. ಕಾಡುಮೃಗವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ ಹಾಕುವುದು.
I will fall upon them as a bear bereaved, and will read asunder the enclosure of their heart, —that I may devour them there, like a lioness, the wild beast of the field, shall tear them in pieces.
9 “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆಂಬಲವಾದ ನನಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗಿದ್ದೀ.
It hath utterly destroyed thee, O Israel, for it was against me, as thy helper!
10 ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಅರಸನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ನಿನ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನವರನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸುವನೋ? ನನಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು ಎಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿಯಷ್ಟೆ. ಆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
Where is thy king, then, that he may save thee throughout all thy cities? and thy judges, concerning whom thou saidst, Oh give me a king and rulers?
11 ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ರೌದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದೆನು.
I might give thee a king in mine anger, and take him away in my wrath.
12 ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮಿನ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯವು ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವನ ಪಾಪವು ದಾಖಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
Bound up, is the iniquity of Ephraim, stored away, his sin.
13 ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸವವೇದನೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಅದೊಂದು ಮಂಕು ಮಗುವಿನಂತಿದೆ. ಹುಟ್ಟಿ, ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಬಹುದಾದರೂ, ಅವನು ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.
The pangs of a woman in labour, shall overtake him, —he, is a son, not wise, for, now, he cannot stand still, when children are about to be born.
14 “ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ರಯಕೊಟ್ಟು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸುವೆನು. ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಮರಣವೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಉಪದ್ರವ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಪಾತಾಳವೇ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿನಾಶವೆಲ್ಲಿ? “ಅನುಕಂಪವು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದೆ. (Sheol h7585)
Out of the hand of hades, will I ransom them, out of death, will I redeem them, —Where is thy pestilence, O death? Where thy plague, O hades? Repentance, shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
15 ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕಾಡಿನಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬೀಸಮಾಡುವ ಪೂರ್ವ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬರಲು, ಅವನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯು ಬತ್ತುವುದು. ಅವನ ಒರತೆಯು ಒಣಗುವುದು. ಅವನ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವರು.
Though, he, among brethren, be fruitful, there shall come in an east wind, the blast of Yahweh out of the desert coming up, that his spring, may dry up, and his fountain, be exhausted, he, will rob the treasure-house of all the vessels of delight.
16 ಸಮಾರ್ಯವು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ, ತನ್ನ ದೋಷಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು. ಅದರ ಜನರು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತರಾಗುವರು, ವೈರಿಗಳು ಅವಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬಂಡೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸುವರು. ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸೀಳುವರು.”
Samaria, shall be held guilty, for she hath rebelled against her God, By the sword, shall they fall, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, and, his women with child, shall be ripped up.
