ಹೋಶೇಯನು 12
1 ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ. ಪೂರ್ವದ ಗಾಳಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನೂ, ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ, ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Ephraim, feedeth on wind, and pursueth the east wind, all the day, falsehood and force, doth he magnify, —and, a covenant with Assyria, would they solemnize, and, oil into Egypt, must be borne along.
2 ಯೆಹೂದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಪಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸಿ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವರು.
But, a controversy, hath Yahweh with Judah, —so that he may bring punishment on Jacob, according to his ways, According to his doings, repay him.
3 ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು, ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾಗಿಯೇ ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋರಾಡಿದನು.
In the womb, took he his brother by the heel; and, in his manly vigour, strove he with God:
4 ಯಾಕೋಬನು ದೇವದೂತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋರಾಡಿ ಜಯಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಅತ್ತು ಆತನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು.
Yea he strove against a Messenger, and prevailed, he wept, and made supplication unto him, —At Bethel, he found him, and, there, he spake with us;
5 ಅವರೇ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು; ಅವರ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಹೆಸರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಎಂಬುದೇ.
And, Yahweh, is God of host, —Yahweh, is his memorial.
6 ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೋ. ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಪಾಲಿಸು ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿರು.
Thou, therefore, by thy God, shalt return, —lovingkindness and justice, do thou keep, so wait thou for thy God, continually.
7 ಅವನು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸದ ತಕ್ಕಡಿ ಇದೆ. ಇತರರಿಂದ ಕಸಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ಅವನ ದುರಾಶೆ.
A trafficker! in his hand, are balances of deceit, to oppress, he loveth.
8 ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ, “ನಾನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಾದೆನು, ನಾನು ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆನು. ನನ್ನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಅಪರಾಧ ಅಥವಾ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
So then Ephraim said, Surely I have gotten me riches, I have found wealth for myself, —in all my toils, they cannot find in me perversity which is sin.
9 ಆದರೆ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಾಗಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಾದ ನಾನು, ಜಾತ್ರೆಯ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ವನವಾಸ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಗುಡಾರದ ವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.
But, I, Yahweh, have been thy God, from the land of Egypt, —I will yet make thee dwell in tents, as in the days of appointed meeting.
10 ನಾನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
And I will lay my word upon the prophets, yea, I myself, have magnified, vision, —and, by the hand of the prophets, will I use similitudes.
11 ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟತನ ಇದೆಯೋ? ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಜನರು ಅಯೋಗ್ಯರೇ? ಅವರು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆಯೇ? ಅವರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳು ಹೊಲದ ಸಾಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಲ್ಲು ಕುಪ್ಪೆಯ ಹಾಗಿವೆ, ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
If, Gilead, is in sorrow, surely false, have they been, In Gilgal, have they sacrificed, bullocks, —their very altars, shall become as heaps upon the furrows of the field.
12 ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಸಿರಿಯಾ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿ, ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾದನು.
When Jacob fled to the country of Syria, then Israel served for a wife, and, for a wife, he watched over a flock.
13 ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದರು.
And, by a prophet, Yahweh, brought up, Israel out of Egypt, —and, by a prophet, was he watched over.
14 ಆದರೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಬಹು ಕಠೋರವಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸಿತು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅದರ ರಕ್ತಾಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವರು. ಅವನ ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವರು.
Ephraim hath provoked, very bitterly, —his own blood, therefore, upon him, will he leave, and, his reproach, shall his Lord, bring back to him.
