ಇಬ್ರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 5
1 ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಲಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ.
For, every high-priest who from among men is taken, on behalf of men, is appointed, as to the things pertaining unto God, that he may be offering [both] gifts and sacrifices for sins, —
2 ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ತಾನೂ ಬಲಹೀನ ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಅಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾರ್ಗ ತಪ್ಪಿದವರನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಕನಿಕರ ತೋರಿಸಬಲ್ಲನು.
Able, to have a measure of feeling, for the ignorant and erring, —since, he also, is compassed with weakness;
3 ಆ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಆತನು ಜನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕಾದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
And, for this cause, is he obliged—as for the people, so also, for himself, —to be offering for sins;
4 ಆರೋನನಂತೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಕರೆ ಹೊಂದದ ಹೊರತು ಯಾವನೂ ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಈ ಗೌರವ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು.
And, not unto himself, doth one take the honour, but when called by God, just as, even Aaron:
5 ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕರಾಗುವ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ತಾವೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರನು, ಇಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Thus, also the Christ, glorified not himself to become a high-priest, but he that spake unto him—My Son, art, thou, I, this day, have begotten thee;
6 ದೇವರು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ: “ನೀನು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಮೆಲ್ಕಿಜೆದೇಕನ ಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಿರುವ ಯಾಜಕನು!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. (aiōn g165)
As also, in a different place, he saith—Thou, art a priest, age-abidingly, according to the rank of Melchizedek: (aiōn g165)
7 ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವು ಭೂಲೋಕದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತರಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಟ್ಟರು. ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು.
Who, in the days of his flesh, having offered up, both supplications and entreaties unto him that was able to save him out of death, with mighty outcries and tears, and been hearkened to by reason of his devoutness,
8 ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ತಾವು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ಬಾಧೆಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ವಿಧೇಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿತುಕೊಂಡರು.
Even though he was a son, yet learned, from what things he suffered, obedience;
And, being made perfect, became, to all them that obey him, Author of salvation age-abiding; (aiōnios g166)
10 ಯೇಸು ದೇವರಿಂದ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡು, ಮೆಲ್ಕಿಜೆದೇಕನ ಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕರಾದರು.
Being addressed by God as high-priest—according to the rank of Melchizedek.
11 ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಇದೆ. ನೀವು ಗ್ರಹಿಸ ಬಯಸದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿವರಿಸುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ.
Concerning whom, great, is our discourse, and of difficult interpretation, to express, seeing that, slothful, have ye become in the hearing;
12 ನೀವು ಇಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಬೋಧಕರಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಉಪದೇಶಗಳನ್ನೇ ಕಲಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಹಾಲಿನ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯಿದೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಆಹಾರವಲ್ಲ.
For, even when ye ought to be teachers, by reason of the time, again, have ye, need, that one be teaching, you, what are the first principles of the oracles of God, and have become such as have, need, of milk, not, of strong food;
13 ಹಾಲು ಕುಡಿಯುವವರು ಕೂಸಿನಂತಿದ್ದು ನೀತಿ ಬೋಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಭವ ಇಲ್ಲದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For, every one partaking of milk, is unskilled in discourse of righteousness, for he is, a babe;
14 ಆದರೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಆಹಾರವು, ತಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನೇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಿಸಿ, ತರಬೇತುಗೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸಿ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
But, to such as are mature, pertaineth, the strong food, to them who, by reason of habit, have their organs of perception well trained for discriminating both good and evil.
