ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 7

1 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನೋಹನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾವೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಈ ಕಾಲದವರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

And the LORD said to Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶುದ್ಧ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳೇಳು ಗಂಡು, ಹೆಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಶುದ್ಧವಲ್ಲದ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡೆರಡು ಗಂಡು, ಹೆಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

3 ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಡು, ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಏಳೇಳರಂತೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವುಗಳ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಸಬೇಕು.

Of fowls of the air also by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive on the face of all the earth.

4 ಏಳು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಲವತ್ತು ದಿನ ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಮಳೆಯು ಬರುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಜೀವರಾಶಿಯನ್ನೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಅಳಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from the face of the earth.

5 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನೋಹನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him.

6 ಜಲಪ್ರಳಯವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ನೋಹನು ಆರುನೂರು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

7 ಆಗ ನೋಹನು ಪ್ರಳಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಸೊಸೆಯರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದನು.

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

8 ಶುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಜೀವಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ

Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

9 ದೇವರು ನೋಹನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಗಂಡುಹೆಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಜೋಡಿ ಜೋಡಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ನೋಹನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡವು.

There went in two and two to Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

10 ಏಳು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ನಂತರ ಜಲಪ್ರಳಯವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂತು.

And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

11 ನೋಹನ ಜೀವನದ ಆರುನೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಹದಿನೇಳನೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮಹಾಸಾಗರದ ಸೆಲೆಗಳು ಒಡೆದವು. ಆಕಾಶದ ಪ್ರವಾಹದ ದ್ವಾರಗಳು ತೆರೆದವು.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 ನಲವತ್ತು ದಿವಸ ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯಿತು.

And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

13 ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಹನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಶೇಮ್, ಹಾಮ್, ಯೆಫೆತ್ ಇವರೂ ನೋಹನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೂ ನಾವೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು.

In the same day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

14 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಜಾತಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಡು ಮೃಗಗಳೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಶುಗಳೂ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವಿಗಳೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಯಿರುವ ಜೀವಿಗಳೂ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದವು.

They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

15 ಹೀಗೆ ಜೀವಶ್ವಾಸವಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡೆರಡು ನೋಹನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಾವೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋದವು.

And they went in to Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, in which is the breath of life.

16 ದೇವರು ನೋಹನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಗಂಡು, ಒಂದು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಈ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನೋಹನನ್ನು ಒಳಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದರು.

And they that entered, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

17 ನಲವತ್ತು ದಿನ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಳಯವು ಬಂದು, ನೀರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿ ನಾವೆಯನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಲು ಅದು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ತೇಲಾಡಿತು.

And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it was lifted above the earth.

18 ನೀರು ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದಾಗ ನಾವೆಯು ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಲಿಸಿತು.

And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark moved upon the face of the waters.

19 ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀರು ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಬಲವಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲದ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳೂ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡವು.

And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

20 ನೀರು ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಏಳು ಮೀಟರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿತು.

Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

21 ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು, ಪಶುಗಳು, ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳು, ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಲಿಸುವ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಾಶವಾದರು.

And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

22 ಒಣನೆಲದ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಮೂಗಿನಿಂದ ಶ್ವಾಸಬೀಡುವ ಜೀವಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದವು.

All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

23 ಹೀಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು, ಪಶುಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಗಳು, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವರಾಶಿಗಳೂ ನಾಶವಾಯಿತು. ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಅಳಿದುಹೋದವು. ನೋಹನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ನಾವೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದರು.

And every living thing was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

24 ಜಲವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ದಿನ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಿತು.

And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

The Great Flood
