ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 33
1 ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ, ಏಸಾವನು ನಾನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಲೇಯಳಿಗೂ, ರಾಹೇಲಳಿಗೂ, ಇಬ್ಬರು ದಾಸಿಯರಿಗೂ ಅವರವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
Iacob lyfte vp his eyes and sawe hys brother Esau come and with him. iiij. hundred men. And he deuyded the childern vnto Lea and vnto Rahel and vnto ye ij. maydens.
2 ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಮುಂದುಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ; ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಲೇಯಳನ್ನೂ, ಆಕೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ; ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಹೇಲಳನ್ನೂ, ಯೋಸೇಫನನ್ನೂ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
And he put the maydens ad their childern formest ad Lea and hir childern after and Rahel ad Ioseph hindermost.
3 ತಾನೇ ಅವರ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ ಏಳು ಸಾರಿ ನೆಲದವರೆಗೆ ಬಗ್ಗಿದನು.
And he went before them and fell on the grownde, vij. tymes vntill he came vnto his brother.
4 ಆಗ ಏಸಾವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಬಂದು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವನ ಕೊರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಅತ್ತರು.
Esau ranne agaynst him and enbraced hym and fell on his necke and kyssed him and they wepte.
5 ಆಗ ಏಸಾವನು ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹರಿಸಿ, ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನೂ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇವರು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನಿಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಕ್ಕಳು,” ಎಂದನು.
And he lifte vp his eyes and sawe the wyves and their childern and sayde: what are these which thou there hast? And he sayde: they are the childern which God hath geuen thy seruaunte.
6 ಆಗ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.
Than came the maydens forth ad dyd their obaysaunce.
7 ಲೇಯಳು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದಳು. ತರುವಾಯ ಯೋಸೇಫನೂ, ರಾಹೇಲಳೂ ಬಂದು ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.
Lea also and hir childern came and dyd their obaysaunce. And last of all came Ioseph and Rahel and dyd their obaysaunce.
8 ಆಗ ಏಸಾವನು, “ನಾನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮಂದೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಏತಕ್ಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಯಾಕೋಬನು, “ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆ ದೊರಕುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ,” ಎಂದನು.
And he sayde: what meanyst thou with all ye drooues which I mett. And he answered: to fynde grace in the syghte of my lorde.
9 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏಸಾವನು, “ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನೇ, ನನಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಇದೆ. ನಿನಗೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು ನೀನೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ,” ಎಂದನು.
And Esau sayde: I haue ynough my brother kepe that thou hast vnto thy silf.
10 ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು, “ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ, ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ದಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೆನಾದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಕಂಡಂತೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಕಂಡದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ,
Iacob answered: oh nay but yf I haue founde grace in thy syghte receaue my preaset of my hade: for I haue sene thy face as though I had sene ye face of God: wherfore receaue me to grace
11 ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ತಂದಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ದೇವರು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ವರ್ತಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಇವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಏಸಾವನು ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
and take my blessynge that I haue brought the for God hath geuen it me frely. And I haue ynough of all thynges. And so he compelled him to take it.
12 ತರುವಾಯ ಏಸಾವನು, “ನಾವು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸೋಣ. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
And he sayde: let us take oure iourney and goo and I will goo in thy copany.
13 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎಳೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಯದವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಳೆಯ ದನಕುರಿಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಂದೆಯು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದಾವು.
And he sayde vnto him: my lorde knoweth that I haue tendre childern ewes and kyne with yonge vnder myne hande which yf men shulde ouerdryue but euen one daye the hole flocke wolde dye.
14 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಮುಂಚೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದು. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇಯೀರಿಗೆ ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ, ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದಿರುವ ಮಂದೆಗಳ ನಡಿಗೆಗೂ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನಡಿಗೆಗೂ ತಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೆಲ್ಲಗೆ ನಡೆದು ಬರುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
Let my lorde therfore goo before his servaunte and I will dryue fayre and softly accordynge as the catell that goth before me and the childern be able to endure: vntill I come to mi lorde vnto Seir.
15 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏಸಾವನು, “ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಅನ್ನಲು. ಯಾಕೋಬನು, “ಅದರ ಅಗತ್ಯವೇನು? ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆ ದೊರಕಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
And Esau sayde: let me yet leaue some of my folke with the. And he sayde: what neadeth it? let me fynde grace in the syghte of my lorde
16 ಹೀಗೆ ಏಸಾವನು ಆ ದಿನವೇ ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಸೇಯೀರಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
So Esau went his waye agayne yt same daye vnto Seir.
17 ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ, ಸುಕ್ಕೋತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತನ್ನ ಪಶುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಕ್ಕೋತ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು.
And Iacob toke his iourney toward Sucoth and bylt him an house and made boothes for his catell: wherof the name of the place is called Sucoth.
18 ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಪದ್ದನ್ ಅರಾಮಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದು, ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದ ಶೆಕೆಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿ, ಅದರ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದನು.
And Iacob went to Salem to ye cytie of Sichem in the lande of Canaa after that he was come from Mesopotamia and pitched before the cyte
19 ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಶೆಕೆಮಿನ ತಂದೆ ಹಮೋರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನೂರು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು.
and bought a parcell of ground where he pitched his tent of the childern of Hemor Sichems father for an hundred lambes.
20 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ, ಏಲೆಲೋಹೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
And he made there an aulter and there called vpon the myghtie God of Israell.
