ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 21
1 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಸಾರಳಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಆಕೆಗೆ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
Nowe the Lord visited Sarah, as he had saide, and did vnto her according as he had promised.
2 ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಮುದುಕನಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಸಾರಳು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.
For Sarah conceiued, and bare Abraham a sonne in his olde age, at the same season that God tolde him.
3 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ತನಗೆ ಸಾರಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮಗನಿಗೆ, ಇಸಾಕ, ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
And Abraham called his sonnes name that was borne vnto him, which Sarah bare him, Izhak.
4 ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೆ ಎಂಟನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
Then Abraham circumcised Izhak his sonne, when he was eight dayes olde, as God had commanded him.
5 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮಗ ಇಸಾಕನು ಜನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ನೂರು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
So Abraham was an hundreth yeere olde, when his sonne Izhak was borne vnto him.
6 ಆಗ ಸಾರಳು, “ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಕೇಳುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಗುವರು.
Then Sarah said, God hath made me to reioyce: all that heare will reioyce with me.
7 ಸಾರಳು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಲು ಕುಡಿಸುವಳೆಂದು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಯಾರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು? ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುದಿಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತೆನು,” ಎಂದಳು.
Againe she said, Who would haue saide to Abraham, that Sarah shoulde haue giuen children sucke? for I haue borne him a sonne in his olde age.
8 ಇಸಾಕನು ಬೆಳೆದು ಬಾಲಕನಾಗಿ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹಾಲು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಔತಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.
Then the childe grewe and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Izhak was weaned.
9 ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನವಳಾದ ಹಾಗರಳಿಗೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಂದ ಜನಿಸಿದ ಮಗನು ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಸಾರಳು ನೋಡಿ,
And Sarah sawe the sonne of Hagar the Egyptian (which she had borne vnto Abraham) mocking.
10 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ದಾಸಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಅವಳ ಮಗನನ್ನೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕು. ಈ ದಾಸಿಯ ಮಗನು ನನ್ನ ಮಗ ಇಸಾಕನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾಗಬಾರದು,” ಎಂದಳು.
Wherefore she saide vnto Abraham, Cast out this bond woman and her sonne: for ye sonne of this bonde woman shall not be heire with my sonne Izhak.
11 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಬಹು ದುಃಖವಾಯಿತು.
And this thing was very grieuous in Abrahams sight, because of his sonne.
12 ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ಹುಡುಗನಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ನೀನು ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಡ. ಸಾರಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇಸಾಕನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವವರೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
But God said vnto Abraham, Let it not be grieuous in thy sight for the childe, and for thy bonde woman: in all that Sarah shall say vnto thee, heare her voyce: for in Izhak shall thy seede be called.
13 ದಾಸಿಯ ಮಗನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಅವನನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದರು.
As for the sonne of the bond woman, I will make him a nation also, because he is thy seede.
14 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ, ನೀರಿನ ತಿತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಾಗರಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕೆಯ ಹೆಗಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಿ, ಆ ಹುಡುಗನ ಸಂಗಡ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಆಕೆಯು ಹೋಗಿ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು.
So Abraham arose vp early in ye morning, and tooke bread, and a bottell of water, and gaue it vnto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the childe also, and sent her away: who departing wandred in the wildernesse of Beer-sheba.
15 ತಿತ್ತಿಯೊಳಗಿನ ನೀರು ಮುಗಿದಾಗ, ಆಕೆ ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಮಲಗಿಸಿ,
And when the water of the bottell was spent, she cast the childe vnder a certaine tree.
16 ಬಾಣವನ್ನೆಸೆಯುವಷ್ಟು ದೂರಹೋಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು, “ಮಗುವಿನ ಸಾವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಲಾರೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ ಅತ್ತಳು.
Then she went and sate her ouer against him a farre off about a bowe shoote: for she said, I will not see the death of the child. and she sate downe ouer against him, and lift vp her voyce and wept.
17 ದೇವರು ಆ ಹುಡುಗನ ಅಳುವ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಆಗ ದೇವದೂತನು ಆಕಾಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹಾಗರಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, ಆಕೆಗೆ, “ಹಾಗರಳೇ, ವ್ಯಥೆಪಡುವುದೇಕೆ? ಅಂಜಬೇಡ ದೇವರು ಹುಡುಗನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Then God heard the voyce of ye childe, and the Angel of God called to Hagar from heauen, and said vnto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? feare not, for God hath heard the voyce of the childe where he is.
18 ಎದ್ದು ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ. ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜನಾಂಗದವನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
Arise, take vp the childe, and holde him in thine hand: for I will make of him a great people.
19 ದೇವರು ಆಕೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಲು, ಆಕೆಯು ನೀರಿನ ಬಾವಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಳು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಿತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿ, ಹುಡುಗನಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು.
And God opened her eyes, and she sawe a well of water. so she went and filled the bottell with water, and gaue the boy drinke.
20 ದೇವರು ಆ ಹುಡುಗನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರು. ಹುಡುಗನು ಬೆಳೆದು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಾರನಾದನು.
So God was with the childe, and he grewe and dwelt in the wildernesse, and was an archer.
21 ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಪಾರಾನಿನ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತರಿಸಿ ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಸಿದಳು.
And he dwelt in the wildernesse of Paran, and his mother tooke him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
22 ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನೂ, ಅವನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಫೀಕೋಲನೂ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಲಸಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
And at that same time Abimelech and Phichol his chief captaine spake vnto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest.
23 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನಿಗೂ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡು. ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ನೀನು ನನಗೂ, ನೀನು ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದನು.
Nowe therefore sweare vnto me here by God, that thou wilt not hurt me, nor my children, nor my childrens children: thou shalt deale with me, and with the countrey, where thou hast bene a stranger, according vnto the kindnesse that I haue shewed thee.
24 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು, “ನಾನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
Then Abraham said, I will sweare.
25 ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಸೇವಕರು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ನೀರಿನ ಬಾವಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸಿದನು.
And Abraham rebuked Abimelech for a well of water, which Abimelechs seruants had violently taken away.
26 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು, “ಈ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಮಾಡಿದರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಅರಿಯೆ. ನೀನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದನು.
And Abimelech saide, I knowe not who hath done this thing: also thou toldest me not, neither heard I of it but this day.
27 ಆಗ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆಗ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
Then Abraham tooke sheepe and beeues, and gaue them vnto Abimelech: and they two made a couenant.
28 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಹಿಂಡಿನಿಂದ ಏಳು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
And Abraham set seuen lambes of the flocke by themselues.
29 ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಆ ಏಳು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅರ್ಥ ಏನು?” ಎಂದನು.
Then Abimelech said vnto Abraham, What meane these seuen lambes, which thou hast set by themselues?
30 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು, “ನಾನೇ ಆ ಬಾವಿಯನ್ನು ಅಗೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಆ ಏಳು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದನು.
And he answered, Because thou shalt receiue of mine hand these seuen lambes, that it may be a witnes vnto me, that I haue digged this well.
31 ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬ ಎಂದು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
Wherefore the place is called Beer-sheba, because there they both sware.
32 ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ತರುವಾಯ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನೂ, ಅವನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿ ಫೀಕೋಲನೂ ಎದ್ದು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರು.
Thus made they a couenant at Beer-sheba: afterward Abimelech and Phichol his chiefe captaine rose vp, and turned againe vnto the land of the Philistims.
33 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಚುಲ ವೃಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದನು.
And Abraham planted a groue in Beer-sheba, and called there on the Name of ye Lord, the euerlasting God.
34 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುಕಾಲ ತಂಗಿದ್ದನು.
And Abraham was a stranger in the Philistims land a long season.
