1 ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ದ್ವೀಪಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ತೆರಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.

Truly, king Artaxerxes made all the land, and all the islands of the sea, tributaries.

2 ಅವನ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ ಅವನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವೂ ಅರಸನು ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ ಮಹತ್ತಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಮೇದ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರಸಿಯ ಅರಸರ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

And his strength and his authority, and the dignity and supremacy with which he exalted Mordecai, have been written in the books of the Medes and the Persians,

3 ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನಾದ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನಿಗೆ ಎರಡನೆಯವನೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿತನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಗೌರವ ಪಾತ್ರನೂ ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಹಿತಚಿಂತಕನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನದವರಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು.

and how Mordecai of Jewish birth, was second after king Artaxerxes, and great among the Jews, and acceptable to the people of his brethren, seeking the good of his people, and speaking about things which pertained to peace for their descendants.
