ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 11
1 ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ, ಅವರ ತೀರ್ಪು, ಅವರ ನಿಯಮ ಹಾಗು ಅವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
“And so, love the Lord your God, and observe his precepts and ceremonies, his judgments and commandments, at all times.
2 ನಿಮಗೆ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲ: ದೇವರ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯನ್ನೂ, ಅವರು ಚಾಚಿದ ಭುಜವನ್ನೂ;
Acknowledge, on this day, the things that your sons did not know. For they did not see the chastisements of the Lord your God, his great acts, and powerful hand, and outstretched arm,
3 ಅಂದರೆ, ದೇವರು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅವರ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೀವೇ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ;
the signs and works that he did in the midst of Egypt, to Pharaoh, the king, and to his entire land,
4 ದೇವರು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ, ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಥಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ, ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವಾಗ ಕೆಂಪುಸಮುದ್ರದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಹ ನೀವು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ;
and to the entire army of the Egyptians, and to their horses and chariots: how the waters of the Red Sea covered them as they were pursuing you, and how the Lord wiped them away, even to the present day;
5 ನೀವು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರುವ ತನಕ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಉಪಕಾರಗಳನ್ನೂ;
and the things that he accomplished for you in the wilderness, until you arrived at this place;
6 ರೂಬೇನನ ಮಗ ಎಲೀಯಾಬನ ಪುತ್ರರಾಗಿರುವ ದಾತಾನ್, ಅಬೀರಾಮರು ದಂಗೆಯೆದ್ದಾಗ, ಭೂಮಿಯು ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದು ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವರಿಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಡೇರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಶುಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ನುಂಗುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ಮಾಡಿದರೆಂಬುದನ್ನೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
and to Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, who was the son of Reuben, those whom the earth, opening its mouth, engulfed with their households and tents, and with their entire substance which they had in the midst of Israel.
7 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನೋಡಿದವು.
Your eyes have seen all the great works of the Lord, which he has accomplished,
8 ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ನೀವು ಬಲವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಈ ನದಿದಾಟಿ ಆಚೆಯಿರುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
so that you would keep all his commandments, which I entrust to you this day, and so that you would be able to enter and possess the land, toward which you are advancing,
9 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೂ, ಅವರ ಸಂತತಿಗೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ಭೂಮಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಆ ಹಾಲೂ ಜೇನೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಬಹುಕಾಲ ಬಾಳುವಿರಿ.
and so that you may live, for a long time, in the land which the Lord promised under oath to your fathers, and to their offspring, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದೇಶವು, ನೀವು ಹೊರಟ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿ, ಪಲ್ಯಗಳ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ಸಾಗುವಳಿ ಮಾಡುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏತವನ್ನು ತುಳಿದು, ನೀರು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ.
For the land, which you shall enter and possess, is not like the land of Egypt, from which you departed, where, when seed has been sown, waters are brought in by irrigation, in the manner of gardens.
11 ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದೇಶವು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳೂ, ತಗ್ಗುಗಳೂ ಉಳ್ಳ ದೇಶವೇ; ಆಕಾಶದ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರು ದೊರೆಯುವುದು.
Rather, it has mountainous regions and plains, which lay waiting for rain from heaven.
12 ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪರಾಮರಿಸುವ ದೇಶವೇ; ವರ್ಷದ ಆರಂಭದಿಂದ ವರ್ಷದ ಅಂತ್ಯದವರೆಗೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಅದರ ಮೇಲಿರುವುದು.
And the Lord your God always visits it, and his eyes are upon it, from the beginning of the year, all the way to its end.
13 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ, ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಲಕ್ಯಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ,
So then, if you obey my commandments, which I am instructing to you this day, so that you love the Lord your God, and serve him with your whole heart and your whole soul,
14 ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಹೊಸ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನೂ, ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಅದರ ತಕ್ಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಮುಂಗಾರು ಹಿಂಗಾರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವರು.
he will give to your land the early rain and the late rain, so that you may gather your grain, and your wine, and your oil,
15 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದನಕರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡುವರು. ನೀವು ಆಹಾರದಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗುವಿರಿ.
and your hay from the fields in order to feed your cattle, and so that you yourselves may eat and be satisfied.
16 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಮರಳುಗೊಂಡು ನೀವು ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಿ.
Be careful, lest perhaps your heart may be deceived, and you might withdraw from the Lord, and serve strange gods, and adore them.
17 ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿಯಲು ಅವರು ಮಳೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವರು. ಭೂಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡದಂತೆ ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಬಿಡುವರು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಬೇಗ ನಾಶವಾಗಿಹೋಗುವಿರಿ, ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ.
And the Lord, becoming angry, might close up heaven, so that the rain would not descend, nor would the earth produce her seedlings, and then you would quickly perish from the excellent land, which the Lord will give to you.
18 ಈ ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಅವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಣೆಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿರಲಿ.
Place these words of mine in your hearts and minds, and hang them as a sign on your hands, and arrange them between your eyes.
19 ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತಿರುವಾಗಲೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವಾಗಲೂ ಮಲಗುವಾಗಲೂ ಏಳುವಾಗಲೂ ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು.
Teach your sons to meditate on them, when you sit in your house, and when you walk along the way, and when you lie down or rise up.
20 ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯ ನಿಲುವು ಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕು.
You shall write them upon the doorposts and the gates of your house,
21 ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಗಳೂ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಶದ ದಿನಗಳು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ.
so that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your sons, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, that he would give it to them for as long as heaven is suspended above the earth.
22 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀವು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಪಾಡಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡರೆ,
For if you keep the commandments which I am entrusting to you, and if you do them, so that you love the Lord your God, and walk in all his ways, clinging to him,
23 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುವರು. ನೀವು ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
the Lord will scatter all these nations before your face, and you shall possess them, though they are greater and stronger than you.
24 ನೀವು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡುವ ಸ್ಥಳವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮದಾಗುವುದು. ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಲೆಬನೋನಿನವರೆಗೂ, ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಅಂತ್ಯದವರೆಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇರೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.
Every place upon which your foot shall tread will be yours. From the desert, and from Lebanon, from the great river Euphrates, as far as the western sea, shall be your borders.
25 ಯಾರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ, ದಿಗಿಲನ್ನೂ, ನೀವು ಸಂಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುವರು.
No one will stand against you. The Lord your God will spread the terror and dread of you over all the land upon which you shall tread, just as he has spoken to you.
26 ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನೂ, ಶಾಪವನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Behold, I am setting forth in your sight today a blessing and a curse.
27 ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವಂಥ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀವು ವಿಧೇಯರಾದರೆ, ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
It will be a blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I am instructing to you this day.
28 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗದೆ, ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಓರೆಯಾದರೆ, ನೀವು ತಿಳಿಯದ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಶಾಪವು ತಗಲುವುದು.
It will be a curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but instead you withdraw from the way, which I am revealing to you now, and you walk after foreign gods that you have not known.
29 ನೀವು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ನೀವು ಗೆರಿಜೀಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನೂ ಏಬಾಲ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಾಪವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಬೇಕು.
Yet truly, when the Lord your God will have led you into the land, to which you are traveling for a habitation, you shall place the blessing upon Mount Gerizim, the curse upon Mount Ebal,
30 ಇವು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಅಸ್ತಮಿಸುವ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಾಬಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿರುವ ಬಯಲಿನೊಳಗೆ ಮೋರೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಾವೃಕ್ಷದ ಸಮೀಪ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.
which are across the Jordan, behind the way which slopes toward the setting of the sun, in the land of the Canaanite, who lives in the plains opposite Gilgal, which is near the valley extending toward and entering a distant place.
31 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿ, ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಅದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವಾಗ,
For you shall cross over the Jordan, so that you may possess the land which the Lord your God will give you, so that you may have it and possess it.
32 ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
Therefore, see to it that you fulfill the ceremonies and judgments, which I am placing in your sight this day.”
