ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 10
1 ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ, “ಮೊದಲಿನವುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಎರಡು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೆತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಾ. ಒಂದು ಮರದ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2 ಆಗ ನೀನು ಒಡೆದ ಆ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಹಲಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆಯುವೆನು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಜೂಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3 ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾನು ಜಾಲಿ ಮರದ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂಚಿನವುಗಳಂತೆ ಕೆತ್ತಿ, ಆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿದೆನು.
And I made an ark [of] shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
4 ಆ ಹಲಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮುಂಚೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬರೆದರು. ಅವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಸಭೆಕೂಡಿದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಆ ಹತ್ತು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.
5 ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದುಬಂದು, ಆ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಂಜೂಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟೆನು. ಅವು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.
And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.
6 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯಾಕಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಾವಿಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬೇರೋತದಿಂದ ಮೋಸೇರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟಾಗ, ಆರೋನನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣಹೊಂದಿದನು. ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟೆವು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಎಲಿಯಾಜರನು ಅವನ ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಯಾಜಕನಾದನು.
And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his stead.
7 ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವರು ಗುದ್ಗೋದಕ್ಕೂ, ಗುದ್ಗೋದದಿಂದ ನೀರಿನ ಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳುಳ್ಳ ದೇಶವಾದ ಯೊಟ್ಬಾತಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿದರು.
From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.
8 ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಲೇವಿ ಗೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊರುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಈ ದಿನದವರೆಗೂ ಆ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
9 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸ್ವಂತವಾದ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವು ದೊರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ ಅವರ ಸೊತ್ತು.
Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD [is] his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.
10 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆ ನಲವತ್ತು ದಿವಸ ಹಗಲುರಾತ್ರಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತೆನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, [and] the LORD would not destroy thee.
11 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ, “ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗು, ನಾನು ಇವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇವರು ಸೇರಿ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು.
And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take [thy] journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
12 ಈಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿರಿ.
And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ನಿಮಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದೇ ಹೊರತು, ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ?
To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
14 ಆಕಾಶವೂ ಉನ್ನತಾಕಾಶವೂ ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವಂಥಾದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರವುಗಳೇ.
Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens [is] the LORD’s thy God, the earth [also], with all that therein [is].
15 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಾವೇ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಸಂತಾನವಾಗಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಇರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, [even] you above all people, as [it is] this day.
16 ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಹಟಮಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿರಬೇಡಿರಿ.
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ದೇವರುಗಳ ದೇವರು, ಕರ್ತರ ಕರ್ತರು, ದೇವಾಧಿದೇವರು, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯೂ, ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯ ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಲಂಚ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For the LORD your God [is] God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18 ಅವರು ತಂದೆ ಇಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೂ, ವಿಧವೆಯರಿಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪರದೇಶಿಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅನ್ನ, ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
19 ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಪರದೇಶಿಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರದೇಶಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಕು. ಅವರ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
21 ನೀವು ನೋಡಿದ ಆ ಮಹಾ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅವರೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವು. ಅವರೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು.
He [is] thy praise, and he [is] thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22 ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋದರು. ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಂತೆ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
