ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು 2

1 ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು. ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಯೇ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar has dreamed dreams, and his spirit moves itself, and his sleep has been against him;

2 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಕನಸನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರನ್ನೂ, ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ, ಮಾಟಗಾರರನ್ನೂ, ಪಂಡಿತರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಂದು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತರು.

and the king says to call for enchanters, and for conjurers, and for sorcerers, and for Chaldeans, to declare to the king his dreams. And they come in and stand before the king;

3 ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಕನಸು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವೇನೋ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಲು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ತತ್ತರಗೊಂಡಿದೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

and the king says to them, “I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit is moved to know the dream.”

4 ಆಗ ಪಂಡಿತರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅರಮಾಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, “ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳು! ಕನಸನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು, ಆಗ ನಾವು ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವೆವು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

And the Chaldeans speak to the king [in] Aramaic, “O king, live for all ages, tell the dream to your servants, and we show the interpretation.”

5 ಅರಸನು ಪಂಡಿತರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ನನ್ನ ಈ ಮಾತು ಖಂಡಿತ. ನೀವು ಕನಸನ್ನು ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವೆನು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಪ್ಪೆ ಗುಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಸುವೆನು.

The king has answered and said to the Chaldeans, “The thing is gone from me; if you do not cause me to know the dream and its interpretation, you are made pieces, and your houses are made dunghills;

6 ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಕನಸನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರೆ, ದಾನಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬಹಳ ಘನತೆಯನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಪಡೆಯುವಿರಿ. ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಕನಸನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನವನ್ನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

and if the dream and its interpretation you show, gifts, and fee, and great glory you receive from before me, therefore the dream and its interpretation you show me.”

7 ಅವರು ಮತ್ತೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಹೇಳಲಿ. ಆಗ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿಸುವೆವು,” ಎಂದರು.

They have answered a second time, and are saying, “Let the king tell the dream to his servants, and we show the interpretation.”

8 ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಮಯ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

The king has answered and said, “Of a truth I know that you are gaining time, because that you have seen that the thing is gone from me,

9 ನೀವು ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ. ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ, ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ, ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವಂತೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಲೇಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಅದನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ ಮಾಡಿ, ವಿವರಿಸುವಿರೆಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿಯುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.

[so] that, if you do not cause me to know the dream—one is your sentence, seeing a lying and corrupt word you have prepared to speak before me, until the time is changed, therefore tell the dream to me, then I know that you show me its interpretation.”

10 ಆಗ ಪಂಡಿತರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ! ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಅರಸನಾದರೂ, ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಭುವಾದರೂ, ಯಾವ ಯಜಮಾನನಾದರೂ ಯಾವೊಬ್ಬ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರನಲ್ಲೂ, ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲೂ, ಪಂಡಿತನಲ್ಲೂ ಇಂಥ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

The Chaldeans have answered before the king, and are saying, “There is not a man on the earth who is able to show the king’s matter; therefore, no king, chief, and ruler, has asked such a thing as this of any scribe, and enchanter, and Chaldean;

11 ಅರಸನು ಕೇಳುವ ಸಂಗತಿಯು ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದದ್ದು. ಮಾನವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸದ ದೇವರುಗಳೇ ಹೊರತು, ಬೇರಾರೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾರರು.”

and the thing that the king is asking [is] precious, and there are no others that show it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.”

12 ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅರಸನು ಕೋಪ ಮತ್ತು ರೌದ್ರವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ, ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲೆಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

Therefore the king has been furious and very angry, and has said to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

13 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನಿರ್ಣಯವು ಹೊರಟಿತು. ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರನ್ನೂ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಹುಡುಕಿದರು.

And the sentence has gone forth, and the wise men are being slain, and they have sought Daniel and his companions to be slain.

14 ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದ ಅರಸನ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಅರ್ಯೋಕನಿಗೆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದಲೂ ಚಾತುರ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

Then Daniel has replied [with] counsel and discretion to Arioch chief of the executioners of the king, who has gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon.

15 ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಅರ್ಯೋಕನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ಅರಸನಿಂದ ಇಂಥ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಏಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, ಅರ್ಯೋಕನು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದನು.

He has answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, “Why [is] the sentence so urgent from before the king?” Then Arioch has made the thing known to Daniel,

16 ಆಗ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತನಗೆ ಸಮಯ ಕೊಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟರೆ, ತಾನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವೆನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

and Daniel has gone up, and sought of the king that he would give him time to show the interpretation to the king.

17 ಆಮೇಲೆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರಾದ ಹನನ್ಯ, ಮೀಶಾಯೇಲ್, ಅಜರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.

Then Daniel has gone to his house, and to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, he has made the thing known,

18 ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉಳಿದ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಈ ರಹಸ್ಯದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

and to seek mercies from before the God of the heavens concerning this secret, that they do not destroy Daniel and his companions with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

19 ಆ ರಹಸ್ಯವು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಯಿತು. ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿ,

Then to Daniel, in a vision of the night, the secret has been revealed. Then Daniel has blessed the God of the heavens.

20 ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು: “ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ದೇವರ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ತುತಿಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ! ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ, ಬಲವೂ ಅವರದಾಗಿದೆ.

Daniel has answered and said, “Let the Name of God be blessed from age even to age, for wisdom and might—for they are His.

21 ಅವರು ಕಾಲವನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಯವನ್ನೂ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರು ಅರಸರನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ, ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರಿಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವರು.

And He is changing times and seasons, He is causing kings to pass away, and He is raising up kings; He is giving wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those possessing understanding.

22 ಅಗಾಧವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು, ರಹಸ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವಂತವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೆಳಕು ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

He is revealing deep and hidden things; He has known what [is] in darkness, and light has dwelt with Him.

23 ನನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ, ಬಲವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟು; ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನೀವು ಈಗ ನಮಗೆ ಅರಸನ ಕನಸನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.”

You, O God of my fathers, I am thanking and praising, for wisdom and might You have given to me; and now, You have caused me to know that which we have sought from You, for the king’s matter You have caused us to know.”

24 ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಅರಸನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಅರ್ಯೋಕನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಡ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಕನಸಿನ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

Therefore Daniel has gone up to Arioch, whom the king has appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon; he has gone, and thus has said to him, “You do not destroy the wise men of Babylon, bring me up before the king, and I show the interpretation to the king.”

25 ಅರ್ಯೋಕನು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಸೆರೆಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಕನಸಿನ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

Then Arioch in haste has brought up Daniel before the king, and thus has said to him, “I have found a man of the sons of the expulsion of Judah, who makes known the interpretation to the king.”

26 ಅರಸನು ಬೇಲ್ತೆಶಚ್ಚರನೆಂಬ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, “ನಾನು ಕಂಡ ಕನಸನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವು ನಿನಗಿದೆಯೋ?” ಎಂದನು.

The king has answered and said to Daniel, whose name [is] Belteshazzar, “Are you able to cause me to know the dream that I have seen, and its interpretation?”

27 ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ಅರಸನು ಕೇಳುವ ರಹಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ, ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರೂ, ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರೂ, ಶಕುನ ಹೇಳುವವರೂ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾರರು.

Daniel has answered before the king and said, “The secret that the king is asking, the wise men, the enchanters, the scribes, the soothsayers, are not able to show to the king;

28 ಆದರೆ ಈ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸುವಂತಹ ದೇವರು ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಮಲಗಿದಾಗ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋದ ದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಇವೇ ಆಗಿವೆ.

but there is a God in the heavens, a revealer of secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar that which [is] to be in the latter end of the days. Your dream and the visions of your head on your bed are these:

29 “ಅರಸನೇ, ನೀನು ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿರುವಾಗ, ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಏನು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದೋ, ಎಂಬ ಯೋಚನೆಯು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಆ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುವವರು, ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದು ಏನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೋಚರಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

You, O king, your thoughts on your bed have come up [concerning] that which [is] to be after this, and the Revealer of secrets has caused you to know that which [is] to be.

30 ಆದರೆ ನಾನೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವಂತರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳವನೆಂದಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕನಸಿನ ಅರ್ಥವು ಅರಸನಾದ ನಿನಗೆ ಗೋಚರವಾಗಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದುಬರಲೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿದೆ.

As for me—not for [any] wisdom that is in me above any living has this secret been revealed to me; but for the intent that the interpretation to the king they make known, and the thoughts of your heart you know.

31 “ರಾಜನೇ, ನೀನು ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ, ಇಗೋ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯು ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು. ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದ ಆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ಆಕಾರವು ಭಯಂಕರವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

You, O king, were looking, and behold, a certain great image. This image [is] mighty, and its brightness excellent; it is standing before you, and its appearance [is] terrible.

32 ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ತಲೆಯು ಅಪ್ಪಟ ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದಲೂ, ಅದರ ಎದೆಯು ಮತ್ತು ತೋಳುಗಳು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಅದರ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯು ಮತ್ತು ತೊಡೆಗಳು ಕಂಚಿನಿಂದಲೂ,

This image! Its head [is] of fine gold, its breasts and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of bronze;

33 ಅದರ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದಿಂದಲೂ, ಅದರ ಪಾದಗಳು ಅರ್ಧ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವೂ ಅರ್ಧ ಮಣ್ಣೂ ಆಗಿತ್ತು.

its legs of iron, its feet, part of them of iron, and part of them of clay.

34 ನೀವು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರಲಾಗಿ, ಒಂದು ಗುಂಡು ಬಂಡೆಯು ಮಾನವ ಹಸ್ತದ ಸಹಾಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಒಡೆದು, ಅರ್ಧ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವೂ ಅರ್ಧ ಮಣ್ಣೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಆ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಡಿದು ಚೂರುಚೂರು ಮಾಡಿತು.

You were looking until a stone has been cut out without hands, and it has struck the image on its feet, that [are] of iron and of clay, and it has broken them small;

35 ಆಗ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವೂ, ಮಣ್ಣೂ, ಕಂಚು, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯೂ, ಬಂಗಾರವೂ ಕೂಡ ಒಡೆದು, ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗಿ, ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಲದ ಧಾನ್ಯದ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗಾದವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆ ಸಿಗದೆ, ಗಾಳಿಯು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಯಿತು. ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಬಡಿದ ಕಲ್ಲು, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬೆಟ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿತು.

then broken small together have been the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, and they have been as chaff from the summer threshing-floor, and the wind has carried them away, and no place has been found for them: and the stone that struck the image has become a great mountain, and has filled all the land.

36 “ಇದೇ ಕನಸು. ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.

This [is] the dream, and its interpretation we tell before the king.

37 ಅರಸನೇ, ನೀನು ಅರಸರಿಗೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಬಲವನ್ನೂ, ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಘನವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

You, O king, are a king of kings, for the God of the heavens a kingdom, strength, and might, and glory, has given to you;

38 ಜನರನ್ನು, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು, ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಜೀವಿಸುವಂಥಾದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಅವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಳುವವನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆ ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಲೆಯು ನೀನೇ.

and wherever sons of men are dwelling, the beast of the field, and the bird of the heavens, He has given into your hand, and has caused you to rule over them all; you [are] this head of gold.

39 “ನಿನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಕನಿಷ್ಠವಾದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಏಳುವುದು. ಅನಂತರ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಕಂಚಿನ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಬರುವುದು. ಅದು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೂ ದೊರೆತನ ನಡೆಸುವುದು.

And after you another kingdom arises lower than those, and another third kingdom of bronze, that rules over all the earth.

40 ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಇರುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಸಮಸ್ತ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ವಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಚೂರುಚೂರು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಚೂರು ಮಾಡುವುದೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇತರರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಧ್ವಂಸ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

And the fourth kingdom is strong as iron, because that iron is breaking small, and making feeble, all [things], even as iron that is breaking all these, it beats small and breaks.

41 ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕಾಲಿನ ಬೆರಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಧ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ಅರ್ಧ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದಿಂದಲೂ ಉಂಟಾದವೆಂದು ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ? ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಆದರೆ ಅದರ ಬಲವು ನೀನು ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿದ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಹಾಗಿರುವುದು.

As for that which you have seen: the feet and toes, part of them potter’s clay, and part of them iron, the kingdom is divided: and some of the standing of the iron [is] to be in it, because that you have seen the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 ಪಾದದ ಬೆರಳುಗಳು ಅರ್ಧ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದಿಂದಲೂ, ಅರ್ಧ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ, ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಅರ್ಧ ಮುರಿದದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅರ್ಧ ಬಲವಾದದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದು.

As for the toes of the feet, part of them iron, and part of them clay: some part of the kingdom is strong, and some part of it is brittle.

43 ನೀನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಿಶ್ರವಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಜನರು ಮಿಶ್ರವಾಗಿರುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Because you have seen iron mixed with miry clay, they are mixing themselves with the seed of men: and they are not adhering with one another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

44 “ಆ ಅರಸರ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನಾಶವಾಗದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವರು. ಅದು ಬೇರೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಧ್ವಂಸಮಾಡಿ, ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ತಾನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು.

And in the days of these kings the God of the heavens raises up a kingdom that is not destroyed for all time, and its kingdom is not left to another people: it beats small and ends all these kingdoms, and it stands for all time.

45 ಮಾನವ ಹಸ್ತಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಡಿದು ತೆಗೆದ ಗುಂಡು ಬಂಡೆಯು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವನ್ನೂ, ಕಂಚನ್ನೂ, ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನೂ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆ ಗುಂಡು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ದರ್ಶನವು ಇದೆ. “ಇದರಿಂದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮಹಾ ದೇವರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕನಸು ನಿಜವಾದದ್ದು, ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವು ನಂಬತಕ್ಕದ್ದು,” ಎಂದನು.

Because that you have seen that out of the mountain a stone has been cut without hands, and it has beaten the iron small, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king that which [is] to be after this; and the dream [is] true, and its interpretation steadfast.”

46 ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸುಗಂಧ ದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದೂ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar has fallen on his face, and to Daniel he has done homage, and present, and sweet things, he has said to pour out to him.

47 ಅರಸನು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ನೀನು ಈ ರಹಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಮಾಡಲು ಸಮರ್ಥನಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅರಸುಗಳ ಒಡೆಯರಾಗಿಯೂ, ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

The king has answered Daniel and said, “Of a truth [it is] that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you have been able to reveal this secret.”

48 ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂತಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.

Then the king has made Daniel great, and many great gifts he has given to him, and has caused him to rule over all the province of Babylon, and chief of the prefects over all the wise men of Babylon.

49 ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅರಸನು ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್‌ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವರನ್ನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದನು.

And Daniel has sought from the king, and he has appointed over the work of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and Daniel [is] in the gate of the king.
