ಆಮೋಸನು 7

1 ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು: ಹಿಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಪೈರು ಸೊಂಪಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭವಾದಾಗ, ಅಂದರೆ ರಾಜಾದಾಯದ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಬೆಳೆಯು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಇಗೋ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದರು.

Thus the Lord GOD showed me; and, behold, He formed locusts in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.

2 ಅವು ದೇಶದ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು, “ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಲಾಲಿಸು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನ್ನಿಸು. ಯಾಕೋಬ ಜನಾಂಗ ಹೇಗೆ ಉಳಿಯುವುದು? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದ ಜನಾಂಗ,” ಎಂದು ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.

And if it had come to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land — so I said: O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech Thee; how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.

3 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮನಮರುಗಿ, “ಈ ದರ್ಶನ ನೆರವೇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.

The LORD repented concerning this; 'It shall not be', saith the LORD.

4 ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು: ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದರು. ಅದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಗಾಧವನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿತು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.

Thus the Lord GOD showed me; and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire; and it devoured the great deep, and would have eaten up the land.

5 ಆಗ ನಾನು, “ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. “ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬದುಕುಳಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ? ಅವನು ತುಂಬಾ ಚಿಕ್ಕವನು,” ಎಂದು ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟೆನು.

Then said I: O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech Thee; how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.

6 ಆಗ ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮನಮರುಗಿ, “ಈ ದರ್ಶನ ನೆರವೇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.

The LORD repented concerning this; 'This also shall not be', saith the Lord GOD.

7 ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನೂಲುಮಟ್ಟದ ನೆಟ್ಟಗಿರುವ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಆತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಲುಗುಂಡು ಇತ್ತು.

Thus He showed me; and, behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in His hand.

8 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ, “ಆಮೋಸನೇ, ಏನನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಆಗ ನಾನು, “ನೂಲುಗುಂಡು,” ಎಂದೆನು. ನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನೋಡು, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಲುಗುಂಡನ್ನು ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

And the LORD said unto me: 'Amos, what seest thou?' And I said: 'A plumbline.' Then said the Lord: Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of My people Israel; I will not again pardon them any more;

9 “ಇಸಾಕನ ಉನ್ನತ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗುವುವು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗುವುವು. ನಾನು ಖಡ್ಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆತನಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಏಳುವೆನು.”

And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

10 ಆಗ ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ಆಮೋಸನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ದೇಶವು ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಾಳಲಾರದು.

Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying: 'Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is not able to bear all his words.

11 ಆಮೋಸನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಸಾಯುವನೆಂದೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುವರು.”

For thus Amos saith: Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.'

12 ಅನಂತರ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಆಮೋಸನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ದರ್ಶಿಯೇ, ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡಿದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸು.

Also Amaziah said unto Amos: 'O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there;

13 ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಬೇಡ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಅರಸನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿಯೂ, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಆಲಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

but prophesy not again any more at Beth-el, for it is the king's sanctuary, and it is a royal house.'

14 ಆಗ ಆಮೋಸನು ಅಮಚ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ನಾನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯ ಮಗನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಕುರುಬನೂ ಅತ್ತಿಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.

Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah: 'I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was a herdman, and a dresser of sycamore-trees;

15 ನಾನು ಕುರಿಯ ಹಿಂಡನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸು.”

and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said unto me: Go, prophesy unto My people Israel.

16 ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಈಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು: ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡವೆಂದೂ, ಇಸಾಕನ ಮನೆತನಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಖಂಡನೆ ಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.

Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest: Prophesy not against Israel, and preach not against the house of Isaac;

17 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “‘ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣಿಯಾಗುವಳು. ನಿನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರೂ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವರು. ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನೀನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲಾಗುವುದು.’”

Therefore thus saith the LORD: Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou thyself shalt die in an unclean land, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.'
