ಸಮುವೇಲನು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 7

1 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅರಸನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಅರಸನು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ,

And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest around from all his enemies;

2 ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅರಸನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡು, ನಾನು ದೇವದಾರು ಮರದ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

That the king said to Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

3 ಆಗ ನಾತಾನನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ಆಗಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಇದೆಯೋ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that [is] in thy heart: for the LORD [is] with thee.

4 ಅದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ,

And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying,

5 “ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ನಾನು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವೆಯೋ?

Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Wilt thou build me a house for me to dwell in?

6 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ದಿವಸ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡದೆ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರೊಡನೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದೆನು.

Whereas I have not dwelt in [any] house since the time that I brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent, and in a tabernacle.

7 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪರಿಪಾಲಿಸಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಜೊತೆಯಾದರೂ, “ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ದೇವದಾರು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು, ನಾನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದ ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಾದರೂ, ಯಾವಾಗಲಾದರೂ ಕೇಳಿದೆನೋ?’

In all [the places] in which I have walked with all the children of Israel have I spoken a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why do ye not build me a house of cedar?

8 “ಈಗ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ಕುರಿಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕುರಿಯ ಹಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದೆನು.

Now therefore so shalt thou say to my servant David, thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheep-cote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

9 ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರೂ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು, ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದೆನು. ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಹಾಪುರುಷರ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.

And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thy enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like to the name of the great [men] that [are] in the earth.

10 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವ ಭಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು.

Moreover, I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as formerly.

11 ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಆ ದಿವಸದಿಂದ ಈಚೆಗೂ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸದೆ ಇರುವರು. “‘ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ನಿನಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜವಂಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.

And as since the time that I commanded judges [to be] over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thy enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee a house.

12 ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಕಾಲವು ಮುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸುವಾಗ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡುವೆನು.

And when thy days shall be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

13 ಅವನೇ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ದೇವಾಲಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವನು. ನಾನು ಅವನ ರಾಜಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ಸದಾಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡುವೆನು.

He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

14 ನಾನು ಆತನ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು. ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವನು. ಅವನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದ ಬೆಸುಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಕೋಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದ ಹೊಡೆತದಿಂದ ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನು.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he shall commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

15 ಆದರೆ ಸೌಲನ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗೆ, ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅವನಿಂದ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟೆನಲ್ಲಾ.

But my mercy shall not depart from him, as I took [it] from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

16 ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯವೂ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸದಾಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವವು. ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿರುವುದು,’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

And thy house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

17 ನಾತಾನನು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak to David.

18 ಅನಂತರ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು, “ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನಂಥವನಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಈ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ಇಷ್ಟು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ನಾನೆಷ್ಟರವನು? ನನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಎಷ್ಟರದು?

Then king David went in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who [am] I, O LORD God? and what [is] my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto;

19 ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಇದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಪವೆಂದು ಕಾಣಿಸಿದರೂ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಸಂತಾನದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತೂ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿರುವಿರಿ. ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಇದು ನೀವು ಮನುಷ್ಯನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವರ್ತಿಸುವ ಕ್ರಮ.

And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O LORD God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And [is] this the manner of man, O LORD God?

20 “ದಾವೀದನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇನಿದೆ? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ; ಓ ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ,

And what can David say more to thee? for thou, LORD God, knowest thy servant.

21 ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಮಹಾಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ.

For thy word's sake, and according to thy own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know [them].

22 “ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ಮಹೋನ್ನತರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕಿವಿಗಳಿಂದ ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೊರತು ದೇವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for [there is] none like thee, neither [is there any] God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23 ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಜನಾಂಗ ಯಾವುದು? ನೀವೇ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಜನರಾಗಿ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿ ತಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಕರವಾದ ಮಹಾ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲವೇ?

And what one nation in the earth [is] like thy people, [even] like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, [from] the nations and their gods?

24 ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಜನರಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿದಿರಿ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾದಿರಿ.

For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel [to be] a people to thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.

25 “ಈಗ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೂ, ಅವನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿರಿ.

And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish [it] for ever, and do as thou hast said.

26 ಹೀಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಗ ಜನರು, ‘ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.

And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts [is] the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.

27 “ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರೇ, ‘ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನೆಂದು’ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಈ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.

For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee a house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer to thee.

28 ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳು ಸತ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಈ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿದ ನೀವು ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

And now, O LORD God, thou [art] that God, and thy words are true, and thou hast promised this goodness to thy servant:

29 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಮನೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ. ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದವರು ನೀವೇ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯವಿರಲಿ.”

Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O LORD God, hast spoken [it]: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.
