ಸಮುವೇಲನು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 15

1 ಇದರ ತರುವಾಯ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.

Some time later, Absalom provided for himself a chariot with horses and fifty men to run ahead of him.

2 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಬಾಗಿಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು, ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾದವನು ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, “ನೀನು ಯಾವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ನಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಇಂಥ ಕುಲಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವರು,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡುವನು.

He would get up early and stand beside the road leading to the city gate. Whenever anyone had a grievance to bring before the king for a decision, Absalom would call out and ask, “What city are you from?” And if he replied, “Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel,”

3 ಆಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದದದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಅನ್ನುವನು.

Absalom would say, “Look, your claims are good and right, but the king has no deputy to hear you.”

4 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು, “ನಾನು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ಆಗ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾದರೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಾದರೂ ಇದ್ದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವೆನು,” ಅನ್ನುವನು.

And he would add, “If only someone would appoint me judge in the land, then everyone with a grievance or dispute could come to me, and I would give him justice.”

5 ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಂದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ, ಕೂಡಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ ಅಂಥವನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಮುದ್ದಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

Also, when anyone approached to bow down to him, Absalom would reach out his hand, take hold of him, and kiss him.

6 ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದುಕೊಂಡನು.

Absalom did this to all the Israelites who came to the king for justice. In this way he stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

7 ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಹರಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಬೇಕು.

After four years had passed, Absalom said to the king, “Please let me go to Hebron to fulfill a vow I have made to the LORD.

8 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯ ದೇಶದ ಗೆಷೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿರುವಾಗ ಹರಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು,” ಎಂದನು.

For your servant made a vow while dwelling in Geshur of Aram, saying: ‘If indeed the LORD brings me back to Jerusalem, I will worship the LORD in Hebron.’”

9 ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗು,” ಎಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.

“Go in peace,” said the king. So Absalom got up and went to Hebron.

10 ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೂಢಚಾರರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ತುತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ‘ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾದನೆಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.

Then Absalom sent spies throughout the tribes of Israel with this message: “When you hear the sound of the horn, you are to say, ‘Absalom reigns in Hebron!’”

11 ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲಾದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಜನರು ಹೋದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಒಳಸಂಚನ್ನು ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಯಥಾರ್ಥ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

Two hundred men from Jerusalem accompanied Absalom. They had been invited as guests and they went along innocently, for they knew nothing about the matter.

12 ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ದಾವೀದನ ಆಲೋಚನಾಗಾರನಾಗಿರುವ ಗಿಲೋವಿನ ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನನ್ನು ಗಿಲೋವೆಂಬ ಅವನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಕರೆಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡುವ ಜನರು ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಒಳಸಂಚಿನ ಗುಂಪು ಬಲವಾಯಿತು.

While Absalom was offering the sacrifices, he sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, to come from his hometown of Giloh. So the conspiracy gained strength, and Absalom’s following kept increasing.

13 ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಬಂದು, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಕಡೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

Then a messenger came to David and reported, “The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom.”

14 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇರುವ ತನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, “ಏಳಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಓಡಿಹೋಗೋಣ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಾರೆವು. ಅವನು ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತ್ವರೆಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.

And David said to all the servants with him in Jerusalem, “Arise and let us flee, or we will not escape from Absalom! We must leave quickly, or he will soon overtake us, heap disaster on us, and put the city to the sword.”

15 ಆಗ ಅರಸನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ಅರಸನಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನು ನಮಗೆ ಏನೇನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವನೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

The king’s servants replied, “Whatever our lord the king decides, we are your servants.”

16 ಅರಸನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಕಾವಲಿರುವಂತೆ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಗಳಾದ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವನೂ, ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.

Then the king set out, and his entire household followed him. But he left behind ten concubines to take care of the palace.

17 ಅರಸನೂ, ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರೂ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಕಡೆಯ ಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು.

So the king set out with all the people following him. He stopped at the last house,

18 ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೇವಕರೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೆರೇತ್ಯರೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪೆಲೇತ್ಯರೂ ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಗತ್ ಊರಿನಿಂದ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಗಿತ್ತೀಯರಾದ ಆರುನೂರು ಮಂದಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದರು.

and all his servants marched past him—all the Cherethites and Pelethites, and six hundred Gittites who had followed him from Gath.

19 ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಗಿತ್ತೀಯನಾದ ಇತ್ತೈಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, “ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುವುದು ಏಕೆ? ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ವಿದೇಶಿ. ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಳಾಗಿ ಬಂದವನು.

Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, “Why should you also go with us? Go back and stay with the new king, since you are both a foreigner and an exile from your homeland.

20 ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನೆ ಬಂದವನು. ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೋ ನನಗೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಸುಮ್ಮನೇ ತಿರುಗಾಡಿಸುವುದು ಏಕೆ? ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು. ದಯೆಯೂ, ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.

In fact, you arrived only yesterday; should I make you wander around with us today while I do not know where I am going? Go back and take your brothers with you. May the LORD show you loving devotion and faithfulness.”

21 ಆದರೆ ಇತ್ತೈಯೂ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವನೋ, ಸಾವಾದರೂ ಬದುಕಾದರೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ಇರುವನು,” ಎಂದನು.

But Ittai answered the king, “As surely as the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be, whether it means life or death, there will your servant be!”

22 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಇತ್ತೈಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ದಾಟು,” ಎಂದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಗಿತ್ತೀಯನಾದ ಇತ್ತೈಯೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರೂ ಕೂಡ ದಾಟಿಹೋದರು.

“March on then,” said David to Ittai. So Ittai the Gittite marched past with all his men and all the little ones who were with him.

23 ಜನರೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುವಾಗ, ದೇಶದವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಅತ್ತರು. ಅರಸನು ಕಿದ್ರೋನ್ ಹಳ್ಳವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದಾಟಿ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಹೋದರು.

Everyone in the countryside was weeping loudly as all the people passed by. And as the king crossed the Kidron Valley, all the people also passed toward the way of the wilderness.

24 ಚಾದೋಕನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಇಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅಬಿಯಾತರನು, ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

Zadok was also there, and all the Levites with him were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. And they set down the ark of God, and Abiathar offered sacrifices until the people had passed out of the city.

25 ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಚಾದೋಕನಿಗೆ, “ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ನನಗೆ ಕೃಪೆ ದೊರಕಿದರೆ, ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವರು.

Then the king said to Zadok, “Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the LORD, He will bring me back and let me see both it and His dwelling place again.

26 ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು, ‘ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು’ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ತೋಚಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.

But if He should say, ‘I do not delight in you,’ then here I am; let Him do to me whatever seems good to Him.”

27 ಅರಸನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ದರ್ಶಿಯಲ್ಲವೇ? ನೀನು ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅಹೀಮಾಚನೂ, ಅಬಿಯಾತರನ ಮಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗಲಿ.

The king also said to Zadok the priest, “Are you not a seer? Return to the city in peace—you with your son Ahimaaz, and Abiathar with his son Jonathan.

28 ನೋಡು, ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ಬರುವವರೆಗೂ, ನಾನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.

See, I will wait at the fords of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.”

29 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಚಾದೋಕನೂ, ಅಬಿಯಾತರನೂ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.

So Zadok and Abiathar returned the ark of God to Jerusalem and stayed there.

30 ದಾವೀದನು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬರಿಗಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಮರಗಳ ಗುಡ್ಡವನ್ನು ಏರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರೂ, ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿದರು.

But David continued up the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went up. His head was covered, and he was walking barefoot. And all the people with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went.

31 ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಸಂಚಿನವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡು,” ಎಂದನು.

Now someone told David: “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David pleaded, “O LORD, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”

32 ದಾವೀದನು ಪರ್ವತದ ತುದಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಅರ್ಕಿಯನಾದ ಹೂಷೈ ತನ್ನ ಅಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಣ್ಣು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಬಂದನು.

When David came to the summit, where he used to worship God, Hushai the Archite was there to meet him with his robe torn and dust on his head.

33 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದರೆ, ನನಗೆ ಭಾರವಾಗಿರುವೆ.

David said to him, “If you go on with me, you will be a burden to me.

34 ನೀನು ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಗೆ, ‘ಅರಸನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹೇಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ನೀನು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥಮಾಡಬಹುದು.

But you can thwart the counsel of Ahithophel for me if you return to the city and say to Absalom: ‘I will be your servant, my king; in the past I was your father’s servant, but now I will be your servant.’

35 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಜಕರಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನೂ, ಅಬಿಯಾತರನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೀಯೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾಜಕರಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನಿಗೂ, ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಸು.

Will not Zadok and Abiathar the priests be there with you? Report to them everything you hear from the king’s palace.

36 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಅವರ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಾದೋಕನ ಮಗ ಅಹೀಮಾಚನೂ, ಅಬಿಯಾತರನ ಮಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನೂ. ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದನು.

Indeed, their two sons, Ahimaaz son of Zadok and Jonathan son of Abiathar, are there with them. Send them to me with everything you hear.”

37 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದಾವೀದನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಹೂಷೈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು.

So David’s friend Hushai arrived in Jerusalem just as Absalom was entering the city.
