ಅರಸುಗಳು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 9
1 ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಎಲೀಷನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಂಡಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಡುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗು.
Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, “Put your belt on your waist, take this vial of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.
2 ನೀನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದಾಗ ನಿಂಷಿಯ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ಮಗ ಯೇಹುವನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡು, ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ, ಒಳಗಿನ ಕೋಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ,
When you come there, find Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in and make him rise up from amongst his brothers, and take him to an inner room.
3 ಎಣ್ಣೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಯ್ದು, ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರಲು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ,’ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳು. ಅನಂತರ ಕದವನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ತಡಮಾಡದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗು,” ಎಂದನು.
Then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, ‘The LORD says, “I have anointed you king over Israel.”’ Then open the door, flee, and don’t wait.”
4 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
So the young man, the young prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead.
5 ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದಾಗ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಹುವು ಮತ್ತು ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಅವನು, “ಅಧಿಪತಿಯೇ, ನಿನಗೊಂದು ಮಾತು ಹೇಳುವುದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಯೇಹುವು, “ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅವನು, “ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ನಿಮಗೇ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
When he came, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. Then he said, “I have a message for you, captain.” Jehu said, “To which one of us?” He said, “To you, O captain.”
6 ಯೇಹುವು ಎದ್ದು ಮನೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಯ್ದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರಲು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
He arose, and went into the house. Then he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, “The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.
7 ನಾನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾದ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನಾದ ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಬೇಕು.
You must strike your master Ahab’s house, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.
8 ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಅಹಾಬನ ಗಂಡಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರಾಗಲಿ, ಗುಲಾಮರಾಗಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವೆನು.
For the whole house of Ahab will perish. I will cut off from Ahab everyone who urinates against a wall, both him who is shut up and him who is left at large in Israel.
9 ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅಹೀಯನ ಮಗ ಬಾಷನ ಮನೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
I will make Ahab’s house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.
10 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಊರಿನ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳು ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವುವು; ಅವಳ ಶವವನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಲು ಯಾವನೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಓಡಿಹೋದನು.
The dogs will eat Jezebel on the plot of ground of Jezreel, and there shall be no one to bury her.’” Then he opened the door and fled.
11 ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಸೇವಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಶುಭವೋ? ಆ ಹುಚ್ಚನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದದ್ದೇನು?” ಎಂದರು. ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮಾತನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
When Jehu came out to the servants of his lord and one said to him, “Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” He said to them, “You know the man and how he talks.”
12 ಅದಕ್ಕವರು, “ಅದು ಸುಳ್ಳು, ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು,” ಎಂದರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರಲು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆಂದು ಹೀಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು,” ಎಂದನು.
They said, “That is a lie. Tell us now.” He said, “He said to me, ‘The LORD says, I have anointed you king over Israel.’”
13 ಆಗ ಅವರು ತ್ವರೆಪಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೊರ ಉಡುಪುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು, ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಸಿ, ಇವನನ್ನು ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿ, ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊದಿ, “ಯೇಹುವು ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿದರು.
Then they hurried, and each man took his cloak, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew the trumpet, saying, “Jehu is king.”
14 ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ನಿಂಷಿಯ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ಮಗ ಯೇಹುವು ಯೋರಾಮನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೋರಾಮನೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram was defending Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;
15 ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋರಾಮನು ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವಾಗ, ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವು, “ನಿಮಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಯಾರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಡದೆ ಇರಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
but King Joram had returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) Jehu said, “If this is your thinking, then let no one escape and go out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.”
16 ಯೇಹುವು ರಥದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋರಾಮನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೋರಾಮನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಜ್ಯನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದನು.
So Jehu rode in a chariot and went to Jezreel, for Joram lay there. Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
17 ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಗೋಪುರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಗುಂಪಿನವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, “ಜನರ ಒಂದು ಗುಂಪು ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೋರಾಮನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಯೋರಾಮನು, “ನೀನು ಒಬ್ಬ ರಾಹುತನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವವರು ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾರೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸು,” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, “I see a company.” Joram said, “Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, ‘Is it peace?’”
18 ಒಬ್ಬ ರಾಹುತನು ಯೇಹುವನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು, “ಅರಸನು, ‘ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆ ಉಂಟೋ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ,” ಎನ್ನಲು ಅವನು, “ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೇನು? ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದನು. ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ರಾಹುತನು ಆ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದನು, ಆದರೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವುದು ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.
So one went on horseback to meet him, and said, “the king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu said, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!” The watchman said, “The messenger came to them, but he isn’t coming back.”
19 ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ರಾಹುತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಇವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಹುವನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು, “ಅರಸನು, ‘ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆ ಉಂಟೋ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ,” ಎನ್ನಲು ಅವನು, “ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೇನು? ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದನು.
Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them and said, “The king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu answered, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!”
20 ಆಗ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು, “ಇವನೂ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ರಥವನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವುದು ನಿಂಷಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಹುವು ಓಡಿಸುವ ಹಾಗಿದೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಹುಚ್ಚನಂತೆ ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
The watchman said, “He came to them, and isn’t coming back. The driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously.”
21 ಯೋರಾಮನು, “ನನ್ನ ರಥವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡು,” ಎಂದನು. ಅವನ ರಥವು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋರಾಮನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಜ್ಯನೂ ಹೊರಟು, ಅವರವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಏರಿ ಯೇಹುವಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು, ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿನವನಾದ ನಾಬೋತನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿದರು.
Joram said, “Get ready!” They got his chariot ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him on Naboth the Jezreelite’s land.
22 ಯೋರಾಮನು ಯೇಹುವನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ, “ಯೇಹುವೇ, ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಬಂದಿರುವೆಯೋ?” ಎಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳ ಜಾರತ್ವವೂ, ಅವಳ ಮಾಟಮಂತ್ರಗಳೂ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೆಲ್ಲಿ?” ಎಂದನು.
When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace, so long as the prostitution of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft abound?”
23 ಆಗ ಯೋರಾಮನು ಅಹಜ್ಯನಿಗೆ, “ಅಹಜ್ಯನೇ, ಇದು ದ್ರೋಹ!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೈ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಓಡಿಹೋದನು.
Joram turned his hands and fled, and said to Ahaziah, “This is treason, Ahaziah!”
24 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಹುವು ಪೂರ್ಣಬಲದಿಂದ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಬಗ್ಗಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಯೋರಾಮನನ್ನು ಅವನ ತೋಳುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಹೊಡೆದನು. ಬಾಣ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೂರಿ ಹೊರಟಿತು. ಅವನು ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಮುದುರಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಿದ್ದನು.
Jehu drew his bow with his full strength, and struck Joram between his arms; and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.
25 ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವು ತನ್ನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಬಿದ್ಕಾರನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿನವನಾದ ನಾಬೋತನ ಪಾಲಾಗಿರುವ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಡು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನೂ, ನೀನೂ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಹಾಬನ ಹಿಂದೆ ರಥವನ್ನು ಏರಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಈ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರೆಂದು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೋ.
Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, “Pick him up, and throw him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for remember how, when you and I rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden on him:
26 ನಾಬೋತನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನೆ ನಾನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದೇ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಆ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಬಿಡು,” ಎಂದನು.
‘Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons,’ says the LORD; ‘and I will repay you in this plot of ground,’ says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him onto the plot of ground, according to the LORD’s word.”
27 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಜ್ಯನು ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಂಡು, ಬೇತ್ ಹಗ್ಗನಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋದನು. ಯೇಹುವು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ, “ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಇಬ್ಲೆಯಾಮಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗೂರ್ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋಗುವ ಅಹಜ್ಯನನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಡೆದರು. ಅವನು ಮೆಗಿದ್ದೋವಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದನು.
But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. Jehu followed after him, and said, “Strike him also in the chariot!” They struck him at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. He fled to Megiddo, and died there.
28 ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವನನ್ನು ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ, ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ಅವನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟರು.
His servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his tomb with his fathers in David’s city.
29 ಅಹಾಬನ ಮಗ ಯೋರಾಮನ ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹಜ್ಯನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
In the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab, Ahaziah began to reign over Judah.
30 ಯೇಹುವು ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಅವನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳು ಕೇಳಿ, ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಶೃಂಗರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಕಿಟಕಿಯಿಂದ ಇಣಿಕಿ ನೋಡಿದಳು.
When Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her eyes, and adorned her head, and looked out at the window.
31 ಯೇಹುವು ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವಳು, “ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದ ಜಿಮ್ರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನೇ, ಕ್ಷೇಮವೋ?” ಎಂದಳು.
As Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, “Do you come in peace, Zimri, you murderer of your master?”
32 ಯೇಹುವು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಆ ಕಿಟಕಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿ, “ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆ ಇರುವವರು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದನು. ಆಗ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮೂವರು ಕಂಚುಕಿಗಳು ಆ ಕಿಟಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರು.
He lifted up his face to the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Two or three eunuchs looked out at him.
33 ಯೇಹುವು, “ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅವರು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳ ರಕ್ತವು ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಸಿಡಿಯಿತು. ಯೇಹುವು ರಥವನ್ನು ಅವಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಓಡಿಸಿದನು.
He said, “Throw her down!” So they threw her down; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses. Then he trampled her under foot.
34 ಯೇಹುವು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿದನು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಶವವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಡಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವಳು ಅರಸನ ಮಗಳು,” ಎಂದನು.
When he had come in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “See now to this cursed woman, and bury her; for she is a king’s daughter.”
35 ಅವರು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಡಲು ಹೋದಾಗ, ಅವಳ ತಲೆ ಬುರುಡೆಯೂ, ಕಾಲುಗಳೂ, ಅಂಗೈಗಳೂ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
They went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull, the feet, and the palms of her hands.
36 ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವ ತಿಷ್ಬೀಯನಾದ ಎಲೀಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಇದೇ: ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಊರಿನ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳು ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವುವು.
Therefore they came back, and told him. He said, “This is the LORD’s word, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘The dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel on the plot of Jezreel,
37 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದೇ ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳೆಂದು ಗುರುತು ಸಿಕ್ಕದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿನ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳ ಹೆಣ ಗೊಬ್ಬರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವುದು,” ಎಂದನು.
and the body of Jezebel will be as dung on the surface of the field on Jezreel’s land, so that they won’t say, “This is Jezebel.”’”
