1 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಲನ ಮಗ ಹೋಶೇಯನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾಗಿ, ಒಂಬತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah, Hoshea son of Elah has reigned over Israel in Samaria, nine years,
2 ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ತನಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸರ ಹಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, only, not as the kings of Israel who were before him;
3 ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಶಲ್ಮನೆಸೆರನು ಅವನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಹೋಶೇಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
Shalmaneser king of Asshur came up against him, and Hoshea is a servant to him, and renders a present to him.
4 ಆದರೆ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನು ಹೋಶೇಯನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಸಂಚನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದನು. ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ಹೋಶೇಯನು ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ವರ್ಷ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊಡುವ ಕಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ಕೊಡದೆ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೋ ಎಂಬವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧಿಸಿದನು.
And the king of Asshur finds in Hoshea a conspiracy, in that he has sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and has not caused a present to go up to the king of Asshur, as year by year, and the king of Asshur restrains him, and binds him in a house of restraint.
5 ಆಗ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಹಾಕಿದನು.
And the king of Asshur goes up into all the land, and he goes up to Samaria, and lays siege against it [for] three years;
6 ಹೋಶೇಯನ ಒಂಬತ್ತನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ದು ಹಲಹ ಪ್ರಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಹಾಬೋರ್ ನದಿಯಿರುವ ಗೋಜಾನ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಮೇದ್ಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
in the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Asshur has captured Samaria, and removes Israel to Asshur, and causes them to dwell in Halah, and in Habor, [by] the river Gozan, and [in] the cities of the Medes.
7 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಆಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದರು.
And it comes to pass, because the sons of Israel have sinned against their God YHWH—who brings them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt—and fear other gods,
8 ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಜನರ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ರಾಜರ ದುರಾಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು.
and walk in the statutes of the nations that YHWH dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel, and of the kings of Israel that they made;
9 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅಯುಕ್ತವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬರುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳವರೆಗೂ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮಗೆ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
and the sons of Israel covertly do things that [are] not right against their God YHWH, and build high places for themselves in all their cities, from a tower of the watchers to the fortified city,
10 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಹಸಿರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೂ ತಮಗೆ ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
and set up standing-pillars and Asherim for themselves on every high height, and under every green tree,
11 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಇತರ ಜನರಂತೆ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸಿಟ್ಟುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
and make incense there in all high places, like the nations that YHWH removed from their presence, and do evil things to provoke YHWH,
12 “ನೀವು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರು ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
and serve the idols, of which YHWH said to them, “You do not do this thing.”
13 “ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾದ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನನ್ನ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ದರ್ಶಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೂ, ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೂ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.
And YHWH testifies against Israel, and against Judah, by the hand of every prophet, and every seer, saying, “Turn back from your evil ways, and keep My commands, My statutes, according to all the Law that I commanded your fathers, and that I sent to you by the hand of My servants the prophets”;
14 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಕೇಳದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಂತೆ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಣಿಯದೆ,
and they have not listened, and harden their neck, like the neck of their fathers, who did not remain steadfast in their God YHWH,
15 ದೇವರ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ, ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜಕರಾದರು. “ನೀವು ಅವರ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜನರನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು.
and reject His statutes and His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His testimonies that He testified against them, and go after the vain thing, and become vain, and after the nations that are around them, of whom YHWH commanded them not to do like them.
16 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ತಮಗೆ ತಾವೇ ಎರಡು ಎರಕದ ಕರುಗಳ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರು ಅಶೇರ ಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಆಕಾಶದ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರಪುತ್ರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And they forsake all the commands of their God YHWH, and make a molten image for themselves—two calves, and make an Asherah, and bow themselves to all the host of the heavens, and serve Ba‘al,
17 ಕಣಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಶಕುನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಳಸಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೋಪ ಬರುವಂತೆ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
and cause their sons and their daughters to pass over through fire, and divine divinations, and use enchantments, and sell themselves to do evil in the eyes of YHWH, to provoke Him.
18 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹುಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಯೆಹೂದದ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಇನ್ಯಾರೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And YHWH shows Himself very angry against Israel, and turns them aside from His presence; none has been left, only the tribe of Judah by itself.
19 ಯೆಹೂದದವರು ಸಹ ತಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಡೆದರು.
Also Judah has not kept the commands of their God YHWH, and they walk in the statutes of Israel that they had made.
20 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡುವವರೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಗಾರರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And YHWH kicks against all the seed of Israel, and afflicts them, and gives them into the hand of spoilers, until He has cast them out of His presence,
21 ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದಿಂದ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಅವರು ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಮಹಾ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದನು.
for He has torn Israel from the house of David, and they make Jeroboam son of Nebat king, and Jeroboam drives Israel from after YHWH, and has caused them to sin a great sin,
22 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಾಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದರು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and the sons of Israel walk in all the sins of Jeroboam that he did, they have not turned aside from them,
23 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾದ ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಬಹು ಕಾಲದವರೆಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
until YHWH has turned Israel aside from His presence, as He spoke by the hand of all His servants the prophets, and Israel is removed from off its land to Asshur, to this day.
24 ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನ್, ಕೂತಾ, ಅವ್ವಾ, ಹಮಾತ್, ಸೆಫರ್ವಯಿಮ್ ಊರುಗಳ ಜನರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಸಮಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದರು.
And the king of Asshur brings in [people] from Babylon and from Cutha, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and Sepharvaim, and causes [them] to dwell in the cities of Samaria instead of the sons of Israel, and they possess Samaria, and dwell in its cities;
25 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದ ಕಾರಣ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಂಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು. ಅವು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದವು.
and it comes to pass, at the commencement of their dwelling there, they have not feared YHWH, and YHWH sends the lions among them, and they are destroying among them.
26 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಸೇವಕರು ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದ ಜನರು ಆ ದೇಶದ ದೇವರು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ, ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಂಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುತ್ತವೆ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
And they speak to the king of Asshur, saying, “The nations that you have removed and place in the cities of Samaria have not known the custom of the God of the land, and He sends the lions among them, and behold, they are destroying them, as they do not know the custom of the God of the land.”
27 ಆಗ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನು, “ನೀವು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ ಯಾಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರಲಿ. ಅವನೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆ ದೇಶದ ದೇವರು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
And the king of Asshur commands, saying, “Cause one of the priests to go there whom you removed from there, and they go and dwell there, and he teaches them the custom of the God of the land.”
28 ಆಗ ಅವರು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕರೆತಂದ ಯಾಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ, ಒಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡತಕ್ಕ ವಿಧವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದನು.
And one of the priests whom they removed from Samaria comes in, and dwells in Beth-El, and he is teaching them how they fear YHWH,
29 ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರೂ, ತಾವು ವಾಸಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮಗೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಸಮಾರ್ಯದವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದರು.
and each nation is making its gods, and they place [them] in the houses of the high places that the Samaritans have made—each nation in their cities where they are dwelling.
30 ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಜನರು ಸುಕ್ಕೋತ್ ಬೆನೋತ್ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಕೂತವಿನ ಜನರು ನೇರ್ಗಲ್ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು; ಹಮಾತಿನ ಜನರು ಅಷೀಮಾವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು;
And the men of Babylon have made Succoth-Benoth, and the men of Cuth have made Nergal, and the men of Hamath have made Ashima,
31 ಅವ್ವೀಯರು ನಿಭಜ್, ತರ್ತಕ್ ಎಂಬ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಸೆಫರ್ವಯಿಮಿನವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಲದೇವತೆಗಳಾದ ಅದ್ರಮ್ಮೆಲೆಕ್, ಅನಮ್ಮೇಲೆಕ್ ಎಂಬುವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಗ್ನಿಬಲಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
and the Avites have made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites are burning their sons with fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, gods of Sepharvim.
32 ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೂ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಇವರು ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
And they are fearing YHWH, and make for themselves from their extremities priests of high places, and they are working for them in the house of the high places.
33 ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆದರೂ ಅವರು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಂದ ದೇಶಗಳ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಲದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸೇವಿಸಿದರು.
They are fearing YHWH, and they are serving their gods, according to the custom of the nations from where they removed them.
34 ಈ ದಿವಸದವರೆಗೂ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವದ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ, ತಮ್ಮ ನೀತಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
To this day they are doing according to the former customs—they are not fearing YHWH, and are not doing according to their statutes, and according to their ordinances, and according to the Law, and according to the command, that YHWH commanded the sons of Jacob whose name He made Israel,
35 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ, “ನೀವು ಇತರ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೆ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳದೆ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸದೆ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸದೆ ಇರಬೇಕು.
and YHWH makes a covenant with them and charges them, saying, “You do not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them,
36 ಆದರೆ ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಚಾಚಿದ ಭುಜಪರಾಕ್ರಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, ಅವರೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೇ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ.
but YHWH who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with an outstretched arm, Him you fear, and to Him you bow yourselves, and to Him you sacrifice;
37 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನೀತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನಿಯಮವನ್ನೂ, ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಇತರ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.
and the statutes, and the judgments, and the Law, and the command, that He wrote for you, you observe to do all the days, and you do not fear other gods;
38 ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಮರೆಯದೆ, ಇತರ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೆ,
and you do not forget the covenant that I have made with you, and you do not fear other gods;
39 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಿರಿ. ಆಗ ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡುವರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು.
but you fear your God YHWH, and He delivers you out of the hand of all your enemies”;
40 ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಕೇಳದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವದ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
and they have not listened, but they are doing according to their former custom,
41 ಇವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಭಯಪಡದೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಇವರೂ, ಇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ, ಇವರ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
and these nations are fearing YHWH, and they have served their carved images, both their sons and their sons’ sons; as their fathers did, they are doing to this day.
