ಕೊರಿಂಥದವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 1
1 ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾದ ಪೌಲನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನೂ, ಕೊರಿಂಥದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಖಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವ ಪತ್ರ:
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, through the will of God, and Timothy the brother, —unto the assembly of God which is in Corinth, together with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:
2 ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೂ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯೂ ಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ಆಗಲಿ.
Favour unto you, and peace, from God [our] Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.
3 ನಮಗೆ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸುಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ಅವರು ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಆದರಿಸುವ ದೇವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Blessed, be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions, and God of all encouragement,
4 ದೇವರು ನಮಗಾಗುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇತರರು ಬಾಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ನಾವು ಸಹ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಸಂತೈಸುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಲು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಕ್ತರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Who encourageth us in all our tribulation, to the end we may be able to encourage them who are in any tribulation—through means of the encouragement wherewith we, ourselves, are encouraged by God.
5 ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸಂಕಟವು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂತೈಸುವಿಕೆಯೂ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
Because, even as the sufferings of the Christ overflow unto us, so, through the Christ, overfloweth, our encouragement also.
6 ನಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟಸಂಕಟಗಳು ಬಂದರೆ, ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆದರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾವು ಸಂತೈಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದಾದರೆ, ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆದರಣೆಗಾಗಿಯೇ. ಆ ಆದರಣೆಯು ನಮ್ಮಂತೆ ನೀವು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವ ಕಷ್ಟಸಂಕಟಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹನೆಯಿಂದ ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು.
But, whether we are in tribulation, it is for your encouragement and salvation; whether we are encouraged, it is for your encouragement, which worketh inwardly by the endurance of the same sufferings which, we also, suffer; —
7 ನಿಮಗಾಗಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಷ್ಟಸಂಕಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂತೈಸುವಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
And so, our hope, is sure in your behalf, —knowing that, —as ye are sharers of the sufferings, so, also of the encouragement.
8 ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನಾವು ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಪ್ರಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ಕಷ್ಟ ಸಂಕಟಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನೀವು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಾವು ಸಹಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದ ಒತ್ತಡಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಬಂದೊದಗಿದಾಗ, ಅವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೂ ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಎಂದೆನಿಸಿತು.
For we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, as to our tribulation which happened in Asia, —that, exceedingly, beyond power, were we weighed down, so that we despaired, even of life.
9 ಮರಣದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತೇವೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನಮಗಾಯಿತು. ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಭರವಸೆಯಿಡದೆ, ಸತ್ತವರನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವವರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು.
But, we ourselves, within ourselves, have had the sentence of death, that we might not rest our confidence upon ourselves, but upon God, who raiseth the dead,
10 ನಾವು ಭರವಸೆಯಿಟ್ಟ ದೇವರು ಅಂಥಾ ಮರಣಕರ ಅಪಾಯದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಅಪಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪಾರುಮಾಡುವರು.
Who, out of so great a death, rescued us, and will rescue, —unto whom we have turned our hope, [that], even yet, he will rescue:
11 ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಹೀಗೆ, ಬಹಳ ಜನರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ನಮಗೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ಕೃಪೆಯ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗಾಗಿ, ಅನೇಕರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪರವಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವರು.
Ye also labouring together on our behalf, by your supplication, that, unto many persons, being due the gift of favour, unto us, through means of many, might thanks be given in our behalf.
12 ಈ ಲೋಕದೊಂದಿಗೂ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಬಂಧದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಾವು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಪವಿತ್ರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೈವಿಕ ನಿಷ್ಕಪಟತ್ವದಿಂದ ಯೋಗ್ಯರಾಗಿ ವರ್ತಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯು ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಇದನ್ನು ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲ, ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನೇ ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
For, our boasting, is, this, —the witness of our conscience, that, in sanctity and sincerity of God, [and] not in fleshly wisdom, but in God’s favour, have we behaved ourselves in the world, —and more abundantly towards you.
13 ನಿಮಗೆ ಓದಲು ಅಥವಾ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ನಾವು ಬರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For, no other things, are we writing unto you, than what ye are either reading or even acknowledging, —I hope, moreover, that, throughout, ye will acknowledge,
14 ಈಗ ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪುನರಾಗಮನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡುವಂತೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡಲು ನೀವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರೆಂಬ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಮಗಿದೆ.
According as ye have also acknowledged us, in part, —that, your theme of boasting, we are, even indeed as, ye, also [shall be], ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
15 ಈ ಭರವಸೆಯಿಂದ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ಉಪಯುಕ್ತತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆನು.
And, in this confidence, I purposed, before, to come unto you, —in order that, a second joy, ye might have, —
16 ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸುವೆನು, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ನಾನೇ ಯೂದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆನು.
And, by your means, to pass into Macedonia, and, again, from Macedonia, to come unto you, and, by you, be set forward unto Judea: —
17 ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಚಂಚಲಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ತಾಳಿದೆನೋ? ಅಥವಾ, ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಅದು “ಹೌದು, ಹೌದು” ಅದೇ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು “ಅಲ್ಲ, ಅಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಲೋಕ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೋ?
This, then, being my purpose, perhaps, after all, with lightness, I dealt [with the matter]? or, the things that I purpose, according to the flesh, I purpose, —that, with me, should be the Yea, yea, and the Nay, nay?
18 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ, ದೇವರು ಹೇಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಂದೇಶವೂ, ಒಮ್ಮೆ “ಹೌದು,” ಒಮ್ಮೆ “ಅಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Faithful, however, is God, in that, our discourse, which was [delivered] unto you, is not Yea and Nay;
19 ನಾನು, ಸಿಲ್ವಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ “ಹೌದು,” ಒಮ್ಮೆ “ಅಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಅದು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೌದು ಎಂದೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
For, the Son of God, Christ Jesus—who, among you, through us, was proclaimed, —through me, and Silvanus, and Timothy, became not Yea and Nay, —but Yea, in him, hath it become;
20 ದೇವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ “ಹೌದು” ಎಂದೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ “ಆಮೆನ್” ಎಂದು ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಗಾಗಿ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತೇವೆ.
For, how many soever be the promises of God, in him, is the Yea, —wherefore also, through him, [be] the Amen, unto God, for glory, through us.
21 ನೀವೂ ನಾವೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿ,
Now, he that confirmeth us, together with you, for Christ, and hath anointed us, is God:
22 ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರಿಗಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವೆಂಬ ಮುದ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿದರು. ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಖಾತರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟರು.
Who also hath sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
23 ನಿಮಗೆ ಶ್ರಮೆ ಪಡಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕೊರಿಂಥಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ.
But, I, call upon God, as a witness, against my own soul, —that, to spare you, not yet, have I come unto Corinth:
24 ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾವು ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತೇವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆನಂದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡಿ, ನಾವೂ ಭಾಗಿಗಳಾಗಿರಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನೀವು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲ.
Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are, helpers, of your joy, for, by your faith, ye stand.
