ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾಂತ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 33

1 ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಅರಸನಾದಾಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಐವತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳಿದನು.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem.

2 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the nations, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

3 ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದ ಉನ್ನತ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ಬಾಳನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಮಂಡಲಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದನು.

For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars for the Baalim, and made Asheroth, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

4 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ, “ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೋ, ಆ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಬಹಳ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.

And he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD said: 'In Jerusalem shall My name be for ever.'

5 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಎರಡು ಅಂಗಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಶದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಮಂಡಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

6 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಬೆನ್ ಹಿನ್ನೋಮ್ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಮೇಘ ಮಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸರ್ಪಮಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಟವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವರನ್ನೂ, ಮಾಂತ್ರಿಕರನ್ನೂ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು.

He also made his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he practised soothsaying, and used enchantments, and practised sorcery, and appointed them that divined by a ghost or a familiar spirit; he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him.

7 ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಆ ಆಲಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ದೇವರು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನಾನು ಈ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಕಲ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

And he set the graven image of the idol, which he had made, in the house of God, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son: 'In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put My name for ever;

8 ನಾನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕಾನೂನುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಜಾಗರೂಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ಅವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು.

neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your fathers; if only they will observe to do all that I have commanded them, even all the law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.'

9 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದದವರೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದ ನಾಶಹೊಂದಿದ ಇತರ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದನು.

And Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, so that they did evil more than did the nations, whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

10 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯೊಂದಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

And the LORD spoke to Manasseh, and to his people; but they gave no heed.

11 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮೂಗಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಂಚಿನ ಸಂಕೋಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂಧಿಸಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ದರು.

Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.

12 ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಬಾಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿದನು.

And when he was in distress, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

13 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು, ಅವನ ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ ದೇವರೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡನು.

And he prayed unto Him; and He was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD He was God.

14 ಇದಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೀಹೋನಿನ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಕಡೆಯ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀನು ಬಾಗಿಲ ದ್ವಾರದವರೆಗಿರುವ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಓಫೇಲ್ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಎತ್ತರಮಾಡಿ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟನು.

Now after this he built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the fish gate; and he compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height; and he put captains of the army in all the fortified cities of Judah.

15 ಅವನು ಅನ್ಯದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಾನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.

16 ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸ್ತೋತ್ರದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಲು ಯೆಹೂದದವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

And he built up the altar of the LORD, and offered thereon sacrifices of peace-offerings and of thanksgiving, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD, the God of Israel.

17 ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವಾಗ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, but only unto the LORD their God.

18 ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸರ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, behold, they are written among the acts of the kings of Israel.

19 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೂ, ಅವನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಿನ್ನವಿಸಿದ್ದೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಾಪವೂ, ಅವನ ಅಪನಂಬಿಕೆಯೂ, ಅವನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅಶೇರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳೂ, ಕೆತ್ತಿಸಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳೂ, ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

His prayer also, and how God was entreated of him, and all his sin and his transgression, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up the Asherim and the graven images, before he humbled himself; behold, they are written in the history of the seers.

20 ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಆಮೋನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.

So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house; and Amon his son reigned in his stead.

21 ಆಮೋನನು ಅರಸನಾದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು.

Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.

22 ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆಮೋನನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದನು.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father; and Amon sacrificed unto all the graven images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them.

23 ಆಮೋನನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಆಮೋನನು ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

And he humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but this same Amon became guilty more and more.

24 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಮೋನನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಒಳಸಂಚುಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು.

And his servants conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house.

25 ಆದರೆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರು ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಮೋನನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿದವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ, ದೇಶದ ಜನರು ಅವನ ಮಗ ಯೋಷೀಯನನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
