ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾಂತ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 27

1 ಯೋತಾಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನಾರು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಚಾದೋಕನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಯೆರೂಷ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ.

Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerushah, daughter of Zadok.

2 ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಜನರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

And he did what was right in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father Uzziah had done; only he entered not into the temple of Jehovah. And the people still acted corruptly.

3 ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಓಫೇಲ್ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.

It was he who built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.

4 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೂದ ಪರ್ವತ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಾಡುಗಳ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬುರುಜುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.

And he built cities in the hill-country of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.

5 ಯೋತಾಮನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು ಅದೇ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 3,400 ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, 1,600 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಗೋಧಿ, 1,350 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಜವೆಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

And he fought against the king of the children of Ammon, and overcame them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. This the children of Ammon brought again to him also in the second year, and in the third.

6 ಹೀಗೆ ಯೋತಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಬಲಗೊಂಡನು.

And Jotham became strong, for he prepared his ways before Jehovah his God.

7 ಯೋತಾಮನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಯುದ್ಧಗಳೂ, ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳೂ, ಅವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

8 ಅವನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನಾರು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು.

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.

9 ಯೋತಾಮನು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಆಹಾಜನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David; and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
