ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾಂತ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 23

1 ಏಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆರೋಹಾಮನ ಮಗ ಅಜರ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ಯೆಹೋಹಾನಾನನ ಮಗ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನನ್ನೂ, ಓಬೇದನ ಮಗ ಅಜರ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ಅದಾಯನ ಮಗ ಮಾಸೇಯನನ್ನೂ, ಜಿಕ್ರಿಯ ಮಗ ಎಲಿಷಾಫಾಟನನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.

And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him.

2 ಇವರು ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

And they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.

3 ಆಗ ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಯೆಹೋಯಾದನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ರಾಜಪುತ್ರನು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ದಾವೀದನ ವಂಶದವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಆಳತಕ್ಕವನು ಇವನೇ.

And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said to them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.

4 ಈಗ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ಆದ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೂರನೇ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವು ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

This [is] the thing that ye shall do: A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests, and of the Levites, [shall be] porters of the doors;

5 ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಭಾಗವು ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಭಾಗವು ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನೂ, ಇತರ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಬೇಕು.

And a third part [shall be] at the king's house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people [shall be] in the courts of the house of the LORD.

6 ಆದರೆ ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಕೂಡದು. ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತರಾದುದರಿಂದ ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲಿ. ಆದರೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಗಿರಬೇಕು.

But let none come into the house of the LORD, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they [are] holy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD.

7 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಲೇವಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಇವರ ಹೊರತು ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದರೆ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರುವಾಗಲೂ, ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗಲೂ ನೀವು ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

And the Levites shall encompass the king, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whoever [else] cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.

8 ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದವರೂ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗತಕ್ಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬರತಕ್ಕ ಸಿಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದನು ಸೇವಾವಿಮುಕ್ತರಾದ ವರ್ಗದವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go [out] on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.

9 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದನು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಈಟಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮತ್ತು ಸಣ್ಣ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾದವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು,

Moreover, Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds, spears, and bucklers, and shields, that [had been] king David's, which [were] in the house of God.

10 ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಆಲಯದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಆಲಯದ ಬಲಗಡೆಯ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಆಲಯದ ಎಡಗಡೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಅರಸನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.

And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king on all sides.

11 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ರಾಜಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದು, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು, ಕೈಗೆ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದರು. ಕೂಡಲೆ ಜನರು, “ಅರಸನು ಚಿರಂಜೀವಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ!” ಎಂದು ಹರಸಿದರು.

Then they brought out the king's son, and put upon him the crown, and [gave him] the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king.

12 ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಹರಸುತ್ತಾ, ಓಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಅತಲ್ಯಳು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಅವಳು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು.

Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD:

13 ಅರಸನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ತಂಭದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ, ತುತೂರಿ ಊದುವವರೂ, ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊದುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹಾಡುಗಾರರು ಗೀತವಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವವರೂ ಬೋಧಿಸುವವರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅತಲ್ಯಳು ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡು, “ದ್ರೋಹ, ದ್ರೋಹ,” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದಳು.

And she looked, and behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entrance, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of music, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, treason.

14 ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಅವಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಎರಡು ಸಾಲು ಸಿಪಾಯಿಗಳು ಅವಳನ್ನು ನಡುವೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ತಳ್ಳಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವಂಥವರನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said to them, Have her forth without the ranges: and whoever followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.

15 ಆಗ ಅವರು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಅಧೀನಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುದುರೆ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಪ್ರವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು.

So they laid hands on her; and when she had come to the entrance of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there.

16 ಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಜನರಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ತನಗೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಿಗೂ, ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.

And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the LORD'S people.

17 ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರು ಬಾಳನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕಿ, ಅದರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಾಳನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಮತ್ತಾನನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು.

Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and broke it down, and broke his altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.

18 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಯಾಜಕರ ಕೈಕೆಳಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಪರಿಚಾರಕರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ವರ್ಗವರ್ಗಗಳಾಗಿ ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದನು. ದಾವೀದನಿಂದ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಅವರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt-offerings of the LORD, as [it is] written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, [as it was ordained] by David.

19 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಅಪವಿತ್ರವಾದದ್ದೂ ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದನು.

And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD, that none [who was] unclean in any thing should enter.

20 ಅವನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಗೌರವಸ್ಥರನ್ನೂ, ಜನರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಿಂದ ಕರೆತಂದನು. ಅವರು ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಅರಸನನ್ನು ರಾಜಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದರು.

And he took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the house of the LORD: and they came through the high gate into the king's house, and set the king upon the throne of the kingdom.

21 ಅತಲ್ಯಳನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು, ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಶಾಂತವಾಯಿತು.

And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the city was quiet, after they had slain Athaliah with the sword.
