ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾಂತ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 17
1 ಆಸನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.
2 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು, ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಆಸನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟನು.
And he placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
3 ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಬಾಳ್ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸದೆ, ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ದಾವೀದನ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರು.
And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not to Baalim;
4 ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಡೆಯದೆ, ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದನು.
But sought to the [LORD] God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
5 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಯೆಹೂದವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವೂ, ಘನತೆಯೂ ಅಧಿಕವಾಯಿತು.
Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand: and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honor in abundance.
6 ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಉನ್ನತ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದನು.
And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.
7 ಅವನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾದ ಬೆನ್ಹೈಲನನ್ನೂ, ಓಬದ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ಜೆಕರ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ನೆತನೆಯೇಲನನ್ನೂ, ಮೀಕಾಯನನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಲು ಕರೆಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, [even] to Ben-hail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.
8 ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಶೆಮಾಯನನ್ನೂ, ನೆತನ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ಜೆಬದ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ಅಸಾಯೇಲನನ್ನೂ, ಶೆಮೀರಾಮೋತನನ್ನೂ, ಯೆಹೋನಾತಾನನನ್ನೂ, ಅದೋನೀಯನನ್ನೂ, ಟೋಬೀಯನನ್ನೂ, ಟೋಬದೋನಿಯನನ್ನೂ, ಇವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾಜಕರಾದ ಎಲೀಷಾಮನನ್ನೂ, ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
And with them [he sent] Levites, [even] Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.
9 ಇವರು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮದ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಇತ್ತು. ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು.
And they taught in Judah, and [had] the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
10 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ದೇಶಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that [were] around Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
11 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕಪ್ಪದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತಂದರು. ಅರಬಿಯ ದೇಶದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಂದೆಗಳಿಂದ ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರದ ಏಳು ನೂರು ಟಗರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರದ ಏಳು ನೂರು ಹೋತಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಂದರು.
Also [some] of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he-goats.
12 ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಬರಬರುತ್ತಾ ಬಹಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಮನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಉಗ್ರಾಣದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
And Jehoshaphat became exceedingly great; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.
13 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದವಸ ಧಾನ್ಯಗಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಳಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಾದ ಯುದ್ಧವೀರರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war, mighty men of valor, [were] in Jerusalem.
14 ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಮನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿರುವ ಅವರ ಲೆಕ್ಕವೇನೆಂದರೆ: ಯೆಹೂದದ 1,000 ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ನಾನು ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು 3,00,000 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
And these [are] the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valor three hundred thousand.
15 ಅವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಯೆಹೋಹಾನಾನನು; ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ 2,80,000 ಮಂದಿಯು.
And next to him [was] Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and eighty thousand.
16 ಇವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಜಿಕ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಮಸ್ಯನು; ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ 2,00,000 ಮಂದಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು.
And next to him [was] Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself to the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.
17 ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯಾದ ಎಲ್ಯಾದ; ಇವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನೂ, ಗುರಾಣಿಯನ್ನೂ ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ 2,00,000 ಮಂದಿಯು.
And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valor, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand.
18 ಇವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೋಜಾಬಾದನು; ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ 1,80,000 ಮಂದಿಯು.
And next to him [was] Jehozabad, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand ready prepared for the war.
19 ಅರಸನಿಂದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ, ಇವರು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
These waited on the king, besides [those] whom the king put in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.
