ಸಮುವೇಲನು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 31
1 ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಂದ ಸೋತು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ, ಗಿಲ್ಬೋವ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತರಾದರು.
And [the] Philistines [were] fighting against Israel and they fled [the] men of Israel from before [the] Philistines and they fell slain on [the] mountain of Gilboa.
2 ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಸೌಲನನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡದೆ ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಿ, ಸೌಲನ ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನನ್ನೂ, ಅಬೀನಾದಾಬನನ್ನೂ, ಮಲ್ಕೀಷೂವನನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And they pursued closely [the] Philistines Saul and sons his and they struck down [the] Philistines Jonathan and Abinadab and Malki-Shua [the] sons of Saul.
3 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಸೌಲನಿದ್ದ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುಘೋರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಾರರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದಾಗ ಅವನು ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡನು.
And it was heavy the battle against Saul and they found him the archers men with the bow and he was in severe pain exceedingly from the archers.
4 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದವರು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನ ಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿರಿದು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿವಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಆಯುಧ ಹೊರುವವನು ಬಹು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ತನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದನು.
And he said Saul to [the] bearer of armor his draw out sword your - and pierce through me with it lest they should come the uncircumcised [men] these and they will pierce through me and they will deal wantonly with me and not he was willing [the] bearer of armor his for he was afraid exceedingly and he took Saul the sword and he fell on it.
5 ಸೌಲನು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವನ ಆಯುಧ ಹೊರುವವನು ಕಂಡಾಗ, ಅವನೂ ತನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸತ್ತನು.
And he saw [the] bearer of armor his that he had died Saul and he fell also he on sword his and he died with him.
6 ಹೀಗೆ ಸೌಲನೂ, ಅವನ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪುತ್ರರೂ, ಅವನ ಆಯುಧ ಹೊರುವವನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರೂ ಅದೇ ದಿನ ಸತ್ತರು.
And he died Saul and [the] three sons his and [the] bearer of armor his also all men his on the day that together.
7 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಸೋತು ಹೋದರೆಂದೂ, ಸೌಲನೂ, ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರೂ ಸತ್ತರೆಂದೂ, ತಗ್ಗಿನ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಕಂಡಾಗ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋದರು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಬಂದು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದರು.
And they saw [the] men of Israel who [were] on [the] other side of the valley and who - [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan that they had fled [the] men of Israel and that they had died Saul and sons his and they abandoned the cities and they fled and they came [the] Philistines and they dwelt in them.
8 ಮಾರನೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಸತ್ತವರ ಒಡವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಲಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಬಂದಾಗ, ಗಿಲ್ಬೋವ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತುಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಸೌಲನನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಮೂವರು ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡರು.
And it was from [the] next day and they came [the] Philistines to strip the [ones] slain and they found Saul and [the] three sons his fallen on [the] mountain of Gilboa.
9 ಅವರು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು, ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಮಂದಿರಗಳಿಗೂ, ಜನರಿಗೂ ಜಯವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
And they cut off head his and they stripped off armor his and they sent in [the] land of [the] Philistines all around to bear [the] news [the] house of idols their and the people.
10 ಸೌಲನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಅಷ್ಟೋರೆತ್ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು, ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಯಾನಿನ ಕೋಟೆಯ ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ನೇತುಹಾಕಿದರು.
And they put armor his [the] house of Ashtaroth and corpse his they fixed on [the] wall of Beth Shan.
11 ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯಾಬೇಷ್ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ,
And they heard concerning him [the] inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead [that] which they had done [the] Philistines to Saul.
12 ಅವರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಎದ್ದು, ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆದುಹೋಗಿ, ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಯಾನಿನ ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಜಡಿದಿದ್ದ ಸೌಲನ ಶವವನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರ ಶವಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯಾಬೇಷಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದಹಿಸಿದರು.
And they arose every man of strength and they went all the night and they took [the] corpse of Saul and [the] corpses of sons his from [the] wall of Beth Shan and they went Jabesh towards and they burned them there.
13 ಅವರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾಬೇಷಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪಿಚುಲ ವೃಕ್ಷದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿ, ಏಳು ದಿವಸ ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
And they took bones their and they buried [them] under the tamarisk tree at Jabesh and they fasted seven days.
