ಸಮುವೇಲನು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 30
1 ದಾವೀದನೂ, ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕ್ಲಗ್ ಊರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಸೇರಿದರು. ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಚಿಕ್ಲಗಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And it comes to pass, in the coming in of David and his men to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites have pushed toward the south, and to Ziklag, and strike Ziklag, and burn it with fire,
2 ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದು ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನಾದರೂ, ಕಿರಿಯರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕದೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
and they take the women who [are] in it captive; they have not put anyone to death from small to great, and they lead [them] away, and go on their way.
3 ದಾವೀದನೂ, ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಅದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಜನರ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೂ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರೂ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡರು.
And David comes in—and his men—to the city, and behold, [it is] burned with fire, and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters have been taken captive.
4 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರೂ ಅಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವವರೆಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಅತ್ತರು.
And David lifts up—and the people who [are] with him—their voice and weep, until they have no power to weep.
5 ದಾವೀದನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲಿನವಳಾದ ಅಹೀನೋವಮಳೂ, ಕರ್ಮೇಲ್ಯನಾದ ನಾಬಾಲನ ವಿಧವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಬೀಗೈಲಳು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು.
And the two wives of David have been taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail wife of Nabal the Carmelite;
6 ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರಪುತ್ರಿಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಪಟ್ಟು, ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವನು ಬಹಳ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೂ ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
and David has great distress, for the people have said to stone him, for the soul of all the people has been bitter, each for his sons and for his daughters; and David strengthens himself in his God YHWH.
7 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಮಗ ಅಬಿಯಾತರನೆಂಬ ಯಾಜಕನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಏಫೋದನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ,” ಎಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಬ್ಯತಾರನು ಏಫೋದನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದನು.
And David says to Abiathar the priest, son of Ahimelech, “Please bring the ephod near to me”; and Abiathar brings the ephod near to David,
8 ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಆ ದಂಡಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಲೋ? ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ವಶವಾಗುವರೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, “ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟು, ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ವಶವಾಗುವರು; ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
and David inquires of YHWH, saying, “I pursue after this troop—do I overtake it?” And He says to him, “Pursue, for you certainly overtake, and certainly deliver.”
9 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಆರುನೂರು ಜನರೂ ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಬೆಸೋರ್ ಎಂಬ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಹಿಂದುಳಿದವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಂತರು.
And David goes on, he and six hundred men who [are] with him, and they come to the Brook of Besor, and those left have stood still,
10 ದಾವೀದನು ತಾನೂ, ನಾನೂರು ಜನರೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಹೋದರು. ಬೆಸೋರಿನ ಹಳ್ಳವನ್ನು ದಾಟಲಾರದೆ ದಣಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಇನ್ನೂರು ಜನರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು.
and David pursues, he and four hundred men (and two hundred men stand still who have been too faint to pass over the Brook of Besor),
11 ಅವನ ಜನರು ಒಬ್ಬ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನವನು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಅವನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನು ತಿಂದನು.
and they find a man, an Egyptian, in the field, and take him to David, and give bread to him, and he eats, and they cause him to drink water,
12 ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಿ, ಅಂಜೂರ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಉಂಡೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಒಣಗಿದ ಎರಡು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಗೊಂಚಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದಾಗ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಗಲು ಮೂರು ದಿವಸದಿಂದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀರನ್ನೂ ಕುಡಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and give to him a piece of a bunch of dried figs, and two bunches of raisins, and he eats, and his spirit returns to him, for he has not eaten bread nor drunk water [for] three days and three nights.
13 ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನನ್ನು, “ನೀನು ಯಾರ ಕಡೆಯವನು? ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯವನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅವನು, “ನಾನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನವನು, ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯನ ಸೇವಕನು. ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ನಾನು ರೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದನು.
And David says to him, “Whose [are] you? And where [are] you from?” And he says, “I [am] an Egyptian youth, servant to a man, an Amalekite, and my lord forsakes me, for I have been sick [for] three days,
14 ನಾವು ಕೆರೇತ್ಯರ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಪ್ರಾಂತದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಕಾಲೇಬನ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಪ್ರಾಂತದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ದಾಳಿಮಾಡಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಲಗ್ ಊರನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟೆವು,” ಎಂದನು.
we pushed [to] the south of the Cherethite, and against that which [is] to Judah, and against the south of Caleb, and we burned Ziklag with fire.”
15 ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀಯಾ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
And David says to him, “Do you bring me down to this troop?” And he says, “Swear to me by God [that] you do not put me to death, nor do you shut me up into the hand of my lord, and I bring you down to this troop.”
16 ಇವನು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ, ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದುದರಿಂದ, ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿದು ನಾಟ್ಯವಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
And he brings him down, and behold, they are spread out over the face of all the earth, eating, and drinking, and celebrating, with all the great spoil which they have taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.
17 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಗಿನಜಾವದಿಂದ ಮಾರನೆಯ ದಿವಸದ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದವರೆಗೂ ದಾಳಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದ ನಾನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಯುವಜನರ ಹೊರತು ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And David strikes them from the twilight even to the evening of the next day, and there has not escaped of them a man, except four hundred young men who have ridden on the camels and flee.
18 ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನೂ ದಾವೀದನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And David delivers all that the Amalekites have taken; David has also delivered his two wives.
19 ಅವರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದ ಕಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಾದರೂ, ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಾದರೂ, ಪುತ್ರರಲ್ಲಾದರೂ, ಪುತ್ರಿಯರಲ್ಲಾದರೂ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಾದ ಯಾವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಒಂದೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ, ದಾವೀದನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದನು.
And nothing of theirs has lacked, from small to great, and to sons and daughters, and from the spoil, even to all that they had taken to themselves, David has brought back the whole,
20 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದನಕುರಿಗಳ ಮಂದೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನ ಜನರು, “ಇವು ದಾವೀದನ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೊಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.
and David takes the whole of the flock and of the herd [that] they have led on before these livestock, and they say, “This [is] David’s spoil.”
21 ಆದರೆ ದಣಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರಲಾರದೆ ಬೆಸೋರಿನ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಬಂದಾಗ, ಅವರು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೋದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ, ಅವರ ಕ್ಷೇಮಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
And David comes to the two hundred men who were too faint to go after David, and whom they cause to abide at the Brook of Besor, and they go out to meet David, and to meet the people who [are] with him, and David approaches the people, and asks of them of welfare.
22 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟರಾದ ಕೆಲವರು, “ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ, ನಾವು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
And every bad and worthless man, of the men who have gone with David, answers, indeed, they say, “Because that they have not gone with us we do not give to them of the spoil which we have delivered, except each his wife and his children, and they lead away and go.”
23 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದಾವೀದನು, “ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿ ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬಂದ ಈ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಕೇಳುವರು?
And David says, “You do not do so, my brothers, with that which YHWH has given to us, and He preserves us, and gives the troop which comes against us into our hand;
24 ಆದರೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದವನ ಪಾಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಲಕರಣೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದಿರುವವನಿಗೂ ಪಾಲು ಇರಲಿ. ಅವರವರ ಪಾಲು ಇರಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
and who listens to you in this thing? For as the portion of him who was brought down into battle, so also [is] the portion of him who is abiding by the vessels—they share alike.”
25 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ದಿವಸ ಮೊದಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಯಮವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
And it comes to pass from that day and forward, that he appoints it for a statute and for an ordinance for Israel to this day.
26 ದಾವೀದನು ಚಿಕ್ಲಗನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದಾಗ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಿಂದ ತಂದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಬಹುಮಾನ ನಿಮಗಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And David comes to Ziklag, and sends of the spoil to [the] elderly of Judah, to his friends, saying, “Behold, a blessing for you of the spoil of the enemies of YHWH,”
27 ಹೀಗೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಬೇತೇಲಿನವರು, ನೆಗೆಬನ ರಾಮೋತನವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಯತ್ತೀರಿನವರು,
to those in Beth-El, and to those in South Ramoth, and to those in Jattir,
28 ಅರೋಯೇರಿನವರು, ಸಿಪ್ಮೋತಿನವರು, ಎಷ್ಟೆಮೋವದವರು,
and to those in Aroer, and to those in Siphmoth, and to those in Eshtemoa,
29 ರಾಕಾಲಿನವರು, ಯೆರಹ್ಮೇಲ್ಯರು, ಕೇನ್ಯರು,
and to those in Rachal, and to those in the cities of the Jerahmeelites, and to those in the cities of the Kenites,
30 ಹೊರ್ಮಾದವರು, ಬೋರಾಷಾನಿನವರು, ಅತಾಕಿನವರು,
and to those in Hormah, and to those in Chor-Ashan, and to those in Athach,
31 ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನವರು ಮತ್ತು ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಇತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಳದವರಿಗೂ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
and to those in Hebron, and to all the places where David—he and his men—had gone up and down.
