ಸಮುವೇಲನು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 15
1 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನಾಗಿರಲು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಲು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು. ಈಗ ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು.
And Samuel said to Saul, Jehovah sent me to anoint thee king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken to the voice of the words of Jehovah.
2 ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ‘ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಬರುವಾಗ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರು ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಗಟ್ಟಿ ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿಸಿದರು, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವೆನು.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I have considered what Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself against him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
3 ಈಗ ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸದೆ ಪುರುಷರನ್ನೂ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನೂ, ಚಿಕ್ಕವರನ್ನೂ, ಹಸುಗೂಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಒಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕು,’” ಎಂಬದು.
Now go and smite Amalek, and destroy utterly all that they have, and spare them not, but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
4 ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ತೆಲಾಯಿಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ, ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಕಾಲಾಳುಗಳು ಎರಡು ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರೂ, ಯೆಹೂದನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
And Saul summoned the people, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.
5 ಸೌಲನು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರೆಗೂ ಬಂದು, ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚಿಹಾಕಿದ್ದನು.
And Saul came to the city of the Amalekites, and set an ambush in the valley.
6 ಕೇನ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ ನೀವು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ನಾಶಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ, ನೀವು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕೇನ್ಯರು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
And Saul said to the Kenites, Go, depart, and go down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them; for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came up out of Egypt. And the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
7 ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಹವೀಲದಿಂದ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಪೂರ್ವದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮೇರೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಇದ್ದ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು,
And Saul smote Amalek from Havilah as thou comest to Shur, which is opposite to Egypt.
8 ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಗಾಗನನ್ನು ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದನು, ಆದರೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದನು.
And he took Agag the king of Amalek alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
9 ಸೌಲನೂ, ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಅಗಾಗನನ್ನೂ ಮೇಲ್ತರವಾದ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಕನಿಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲದಂಥ ಹೀನವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದರು.
And Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep and oxen, and beasts of the second bearing, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not devote them to destruction; but everything that was mean and weak, that they destroyed utterly.
10 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಸಮುಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ,
And the word of Jehovah came to Samuel, saying,
11 “ನಾನು ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ಅರಸನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದುಃಖಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು; ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟನು.
It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king; for he is turned away from following me, and hath not fulfilled my words. And Samuel was much grieved; and he cried to Jehovah all night.
12 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಉದಯಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೆದ್ದು ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು, “ಸೌಲನು ತನ್ನ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಮಾರಕವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಕರ್ಮೆಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಂತರ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.”
And Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning. And it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set him up a monument, and has turned about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
13 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಸೌಲನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಸೌಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವಾಗಲಿ; ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸಿದೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
And Samuel came to Saul; and Saul said to him, Blessed art thou of Jehovah: I have fulfilled the word of Jehovah.
14 ಆಗ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವ ಆ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೇನು? ನಾನು ಕೇಳುವ ಪಶುಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೇನು?” ಎಂದನು.
And Samuel said, What [means] then this bleating of sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of oxen which I hear?
15 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೌಲನು, “ಜನರು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದವುಗಳು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೇಲ್ತರವಾದ ಪಶುಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಟ್ಟು, ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟೆವು,” ಎಂದನು.
And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites, because the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice to Jehovah thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
16 ಆಗ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ, “ಅದಿರಲಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕಳೆದ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ಹೇಳು,” ಎಂದನು.
And Samuel said to Saul, Stay, that I may tell thee what Jehovah has said to me this night. And he said to him, Say on.
17 ಆಗ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು, “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕವನಾಗಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಜಮಾನನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕವಾದಿಯಲ್ಲವೆ? ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದರಲ್ಲವೆ?
And Samuel said, Was it not when thou wast little in thine eyes that thou [becamest] the head of the tribes of Israel, and Jehovah anointed thee king over Israel?
18 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ, ‘ಹೋಗು ಪಾಪಿಷ್ಠರಾದ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರು ತೀರಿ ಹೋಗುವವರೆಗೂ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಬೇಕು,’ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು.
And Jehovah sent thee on a way and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.
19 ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಏಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗದೆ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಿ?” ಎಂದನು.
Why then didst thou not hearken to the voice of Jehovah, but didst fall upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of Jehovah?
20 ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಸಮುಯೇಲನಿಗೆ, “ಹೌದು, ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಗಾಗನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು, ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
And Saul said to Samuel, I have indeed hearkened to the voice of Jehovah, and have gone the way which Jehovah sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
21 ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವ ದನಕುರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು,” ಎಂದನು.
But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the choicest of the devoted things, to sacrifice to Jehovah thy God in Gilgal.
22 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಧೇಯನಾದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆಗುವ ಸಂತೋಷ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಗುವುದೋ? ಇಗೋ, ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕಿಂತ ವಿಧೇಯತೆಯು, ಟಗರುಗಳ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿಗಿಂತ ಮಾತುಕೇಳುವುದೇ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
And Samuel said, Has Jehovah delight in burnt-offerings and sacrifices, As in hearkening to the voice of Jehovah? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, Attention than the fat of rams.
23 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟಿಸುವುದು ಮಂತ್ರತಂತ್ರಗಳಷ್ಟು ಪಾಪವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಟಮಾರಿತನವು ದುಷ್ಟತನಕ್ಕೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹಾರಾಧನೆಗೂ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನಾಗಿರದ ಹಾಗೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.”
For rebellion is [as] the sin of divination, And selfwill is [as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, He hath also rejected thee from being king.
24 ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಸಮುಯೇಲನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದೆನು. ನಾನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು.
And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of Jehovah, and thy words; for I feared the people, and hearkened to their voice.
25 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ, ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And now, I pray thee, forgive my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship Jehovah.
26 ಆದರೆ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರದ ಹಾಗೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And Samuel said to Saul, I will not turn again with thee; for thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, and Jehovah has rejected thee from being king over Israel.
27 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಸೌಲನು ಅವನ ವಸ್ತ್ರದ ಕೊನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆಗ ಅದು ಹರಿದುಹೋಯಿತು.
And as Samuel turned to go away, [Saul] laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.
28 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕಿತ್ತು, ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನಾಗಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
Then Samuel said to him, Jehovah has rent the kingdom of Israel from thee to-day, and has given it to thy neighbour, who is better than thou.
29 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರತಾಪರು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳುವವರಲ್ಲ, ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹಿಂತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುವಂಥ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದನು.
And also the Hope of Israel will not lie nor repent; for he is not a man, that he should repent.
30 ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ನಾನು ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸು. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದನು.
And he said, I have sinned; honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship Jehovah thy God.
31 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಸೌಲನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದನು. ಸೌಲನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದನು.
So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped Jehovah.
32 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು, “ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಗಾಗನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತನ್ನಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅಗಾಗನು ಆನಂದವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮರಣದ ಕಹಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಯಿತು,” ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
And Samuel said, Bring ye near to me Agag the king of Amalek. And Agag came to him gaily. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.
33 ಆದರೆ ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗವು ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿತೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವಳಾಗುವಳು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಗಾಗನಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದನು.
And Samuel said, As thy sword has made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless above women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before Jehovah in Gilgal.
34 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು; ಆದರೆ ಸೌಲನು ತನ್ನ ಊರಾದ ಗಿಬೆಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
And Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.
35 ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ತಾನು ಸಾಯುವ ದಿವಸದವರೆಗೂ ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕಾಣಲು ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಮುಯೇಲನು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟರು.
And Samuel saw Saul no more until the day of his death; for Samuel mourned over Saul; and Jehovah repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
