ಅರಸುಗಳು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 5
1 ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾಗಲು ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಟೈರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜದೂತರನ್ನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಆಪ್ತಮಿತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
And Hiram King of Tyrus sent his seruants vnto Salomon, (for he had heard, that they had anoynted him King in the roume of his father) because Hiram had euer loued Dauid.
2 ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ರಾಜದೂತರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು:
Also Salomon sent to Hiram, saying,
3 “ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದನೆಂದು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಪಾದದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕುವವರೆಗೂ, ಅವನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.
Thou knowest that Dauid my father could not build an house vnto the Name of the Lord his God, for the warres which were about him on euery side, vntill the Lord had put them vnder the soles of his feete.
4 ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ಶತ್ರುವಿನಿಂದ ತಗಲುವ ಕೇಡು ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
But now the Lord my God hath giuen me rest on euery side, so that there is neither aduersarie, nor euill to resist.
5 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅದರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಿನಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸುವನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲವೇ.
And beholde, I purpose to build an house vnto ye Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake vnto Dauid my father, saying, Thy sonne, whom I wil set vpon thy throne for thee, he shall build an house vnto my Name.
6 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು. ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಕೂಡ ಇರಲಿ. ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀದೋನ್ಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ಮರವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯಲು ತಿಳಿದವರಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Now therefore commaund, that they hewe me cedar trees out of Lebanon, and my seruants shall be with thy seruants, and vnto thee will I giue the hire for thy seruants, according to all that thou shalt appoynt: for thou knowest that there are none among vs, that can hewe timber like vnto the Sidonians.
7 ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಬಹು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು, “ಈ ಮಹಾಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಮಗನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಇಂದು ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
And when Hiram heard the wordes of Salomon, he reioyced greatly, and sayde, Blessed be the Lord this day, which hath giuen vnto Dauid a wise sonne ouer this mightie people.
8 ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, “ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳ ವಿಷಯವೂ, ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳ ವಿಷಯವೂ ನೀನು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
And Hiram sent to Salomon, saying, I haue considered the things, for the which thou sentest vnto me, and will accomplish all thy desire, concerning the cedar trees and firre trees.
9 ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದಮೇಲೆ, ನನಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೊಸ್ಕರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುವೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
My seruants shall bring them downe from Lebanon to the sea: and I will conuey them by sea in raftes vnto the place that thou shalt shew me, and wil cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receiue them: nowe thou shalt doe mee a pleasure to minister foode for my familie.
10 ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಹೀರಾಮನು ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
So Hiram gaue Salomon cedar trees and firre trees, euen his full desire.
11 ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಆರನೂರು ಟನ್ ಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನೂ, ನಾಲ್ಕು ಲಕ್ಷ ನಲವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಲೀಟರ್ ಅಪ್ಪಟವಾದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರುಷ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು.
And Salomon gaue Hiram twentie thousand measures of wheate for foode to his householde, and twentie measures of beaten oyle. Thus much gaue Salomon to Hiram yere by yere.
12 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೂ, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And the Lord gaue Salomon wisedome as he promised him. And there was peace betweene Hiram and Salomon, and they two made a couenant.
13 ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆ ಆಳುಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕವು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
And King Salomon raised a summe out of all Israel, and the summe was thirtie thousand men:
14 ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ತಿಂಗಳು ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೂ ನೇಮಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಅದೋನೀರಾಮನು ಆಳುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಜಮಾನನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
Whome he sent to Lebanon, ten thousand a moneth by course: they were a moneth in Lebanon, and two moneths at home. And Adoniram was ouer the summe.
15 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಹೊರೆ ಹೊರುವವರು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರವೂ, ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಕುಟಿಗರು ಎಂಬತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರವೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
And Salomon had seuentie thousand that bare burdens, and fourescore thousand masons in the mountaine,
16 ಇದರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಕೆಲಸದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದರು. ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಮೇಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಿದ್ದರು.
Besides the princes, whome Salomon appoynted ouer the worke, euen three thousande and three hundreth, which ruled the people that wrought in the worke.
17 ಅರಸನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಲು ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದರು.
And the King commanded them, and they brought great stones and costly stones to make the foundation of the house, euen hewed stones.
18 ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಾರರೂ, ಹೀರಾಮನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಾರರೂ, ಗೆಬಾಲ್ಯರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು, ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು.
And Salomons workemen, and the workemen of Hiram, and the masons hewed and prepared timber and stones for the buylding of the house.
