ಅರಸುಗಳು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 14
1 ಅದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮಗ ಅಬೀಯನಿಗೆ ರೋಗ ತಗುಲಿತು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ,
At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
2 “ನೀನು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿ ಎಂದು ಯಾರೂ ತಿಳಿಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನೆದ್ದು, ವೇಷಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಶೀಲೋವಿಗೆ ಹೋಗು. ‘ಈ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಅಹೀಯನು ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Jeroboam said to his wife, "Please get up and disguise yourself, that you won't be recognized as the wife of Jeroboam. Go to Shiloh. Look, there is Ahijah the prophet, who spoke concerning me that I should be king over this people.
3 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಒಂದು ಮಡಕೆ ಜೇನುತುಪ್ಪವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗು. ಅವನು ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ಆಗುವುದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವನು,” ಎಂದನು.
Take with you ten loaves, and cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will become of the child."
4 ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿಯು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿ, ಎದ್ದು ಶೀಲೋವಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಹೀಯನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಆದರೆ ಅಹೀಯನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ, ವೃದ್ದಾಪ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದವು.
Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
5 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅಹೀಯನಿಗೆ, “ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ದೈವೋತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವಳ ಮಗನು ರೋಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು, ಅವಳು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳ ಹಾಗೆ ವೇಷಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವಳು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು.
The LORD said to Ahijah, "Look, the wife of Jeroboam comes to inquire of you concerning her son; for he is sick. Thus and thus you shall tell her; for it will be, when she comes in, that she will pretend to be another woman."
6 ಅನಂತರ ಅವಳು ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಾಗ, ಅಹೀಯನು ಅವಳ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳ ಶಬ್ದ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಅವನು, “ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿಯೇ ಒಳಗೆ ಬಾ, ನೀನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳಂತೆ ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಏಕೆ? ನಾನು ಕಠಿಣವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
It was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, "Come in, you wife of Jeroboam. Why do you pretend to be another? For I am sent to you with heavy news.
7 ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನಾನು ಜನರೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
Go, tell Jeroboam, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: "Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you prince over my people Israel,
8 ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and tore the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it you; and yet you have not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in my eyes,
9 ನೀನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುವ ಅನ್ಯದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಎರಕದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದೆ.
but have done evil above all who were before you, and have gone and made you other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and have cast me behind your back:
10 “‘ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನೂ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅದು ತೀರುವವರೆಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ರಸವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆಯ ಉಳುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುತ್ತೇನೆ.
therefore, look, I will bring disaster on the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam everyone who urinates on a wall, he who is shut up and he who is left at large in Israel, and will utterly sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweeps away dung, until it is all gone.
11 ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಾಯಿಗಳು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವವು. ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವವನನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವವು,’ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
He who dies of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and he who dies in the field shall the birds of the sky eat: for the LORD has spoken it."'
12 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನೆದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು. ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸಾಯುವನು.
Arise therefore, and go to your house. When your feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
13 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಡುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವನು. ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆಯವರೊಳಗೆ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗಾದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು.
All Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
14 “ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಆಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವರು.
Moreover the LORD will raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam. This is day. What? Even now.
15 ಈಗಲೇ ಏನು ಆಗುವುದು? ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಪು ಹುಲ್ಲು ಅಲ್ಲಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲು, ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಾರಾಧನೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಶೇರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ತಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಈ ಉತ್ತಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಿ, ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಚದರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವರು.
For the LORD will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and he will root up Israel out of this good land which he gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.
16 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನೇ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ, ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದನು,” ಎಂದನು.
He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he has sinned, and with which he has made Israel to sin."
17 ಆಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪತ್ನಿ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಟು ತಿರ್ಚಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವ ಅಹೀಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಅವಳು ಬಾಗಿಲ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವಳ ಮಗನು ಸತ್ತನು.
Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah. As she came to the threshold of the house, the child died.
18 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಅಹೀಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಡಿದರು.
All Israel buried him, and mourned for him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the prophet.
19 ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೂ, ಆಳಿದ್ದೂ, ಇವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
The rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, look, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
20 ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಆಳಿದ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಅವನು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ, ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮಗ ನಾದಾಬನು ಅರಸನಾದನು.
The days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his place.
21 ಆದರೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಗ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು. ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ, ನಲವತ್ತೊಂದು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನೇಳು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯಳಾದ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ನಯಮಾ.
Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there: and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.
22 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದದವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನ ಮಾಡಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಿಂತ, ತಾವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ರೋಷವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು.
Judah did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they committed, above all that their fathers had done.
23 ಅವರು ಅಶೇರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನೂ, ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಹಸುರಾದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಗಿಡದ ಕೆಳಗೂ ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
For they also built them high places, and pillars, and Asherim, on every high hill, and under every green tree;
24 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರುಷಗಾಮಿಗಳಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಸಕಲ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
and there were also male shrine prostitutes in the land: they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD drove out before the children of Israel.
25 ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಐದನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ಅರಸನಾದ ಶೀಶಕನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿಮಾಡಿದನು.
It happened in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem;
26 ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೋಚಿಕೊಂಡನು, ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಂತೆ ಅವನು ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ದೋಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು.
and he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
27 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಕಂಚಿನ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶದ್ವಾರದ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
King Rehoboam made in their place shields of bronze, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the door of the king's house.
28 ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ, ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಕಾವಲಿನ ಚಾವಡಿಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
It was so, that as often as the king went into the house of the LORD, the guard bore them, and brought them back into the guard room.
29 ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಉಳಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತವೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
30 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೂ, ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಯುದ್ಧಗಳಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
31 ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಬಳಿ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಬಳಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯಳಾದ ನಯಮಾ. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಅಬಿಯಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David: and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. Abijam his son reigned in his place.
