ಅರಸುಗಳು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 10
1 ಶೆಬದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಾಮದ ಮಹತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಒಗಟುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಬಂದಳು.
When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
2 ಅವಳು ಮಹಾ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಅವಳು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಳು.
She came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bore spices, and very much gold, and precious stones; and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him of all that was in her heart.
3 ಆಗ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದಂಥದ್ದು ಒಂದೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿಗೂ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು.
Solomon told her all her questions: there was not anything hidden from the king which he did not tell her.
4 ಶೆಬದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ, ಅವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ,
When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
5 ಅವನ ಮೇಜಿನ ಭೋಜನವನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಕುಳಿತಿರುವ ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ನಿಂತಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಪಾನದಾಯಕರನ್ನೂ, ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವಳು ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಂಡಳು.
and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their clothing, and his cup bearers, and his burnt offerings which he presented at the house of the LORD; it left her breathless.
6 ಅವಳು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೂ ಕೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ಸತ್ಯ.
She said to the king, "It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom.
7 ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ನೋಡುವವರೆಗೂ ಜನರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬದೆ ಹೋದೆನು. ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಪತ್ತೂ ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿದೆ.
However I did not believe the words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it. Look, the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame which I heard.
8 ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತರು. ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಂತು ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತರು.
Happy are your wives, happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you, who hear your wisdom.
9 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹರ್ಷಗೊಂಡ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಡೆಸಲು ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು,” ಎಂದಳು.
Blessed is the LORD your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because of the LORD's everlasting love for Israel, therefore he made you king, to do justice and righteousness."
10 ಅವಳು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ತೂಕ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಬಹು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾದ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. ಶೆಬದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಅಪರಿಮಿತವಾದ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
She gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones. There came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
11 ಹೀರಾಮನ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಓಫೀರನಿಂದ ಬಂಗಾರ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಂದವು.
The navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees and precious stones.
12 ಅರಸನು ಆ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಅರಮನೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹಾಡುವವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ವೀಣೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಈ ದಿನದವರೆಗೂ ಅಂಥಾ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರಗಳು ಬಂದದ್ದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಕಂಡದ್ದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
The king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king's house, harps also and stringed instruments for the singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen, to this day.
13 ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಶೆಬದ ರಾಣಿಗೆ ಔದಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ, ಅವಳು ಬಯಸಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅನಂತರ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೊಡನೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಳು.
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.
14 ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರುಷ ಸುಮಾರು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಿಲ್ರೊಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರವು ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
15 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ವರ್ತಕರಿಂದಲೂ, ವರ್ತಕರ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದಿಂದಲೂ, ಅರೇಬಿಯದ ಅರಸರಿಂದಲೂ, ದೇಶದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸಹ ಬಂಗಾರವು ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
besides that which the traders brought, and the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.
16 ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಒಂದೊಂದು ಗುರಾಣಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಏಳು ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ತೂಕದ ಬಂಗಾರವಿತ್ತು.
King Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of gold went to each shield.
17 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಸಣ್ಣ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಒಂದೊಂದು ಗುರಾಣಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರ ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು. ಅರಸನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಅಡವಿಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು.
He made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
18 ಅರಸನು ದಂತದಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದ ಹೊದಿಸಿದನು.
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the finest gold.
19 ಈ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಈ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಹಿಂಭಾಗವು ದುಂಡಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಆಸನದ ಎರಡು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಆ ಕೈಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವು.
There were six steps to the throne, and the top of the throne was round behind; and there were stays on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the stays.
20 ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು, ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಡು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಯಾವ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಂಥದ್ದು ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps: there was nothing like it made in any kingdom.
21 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಂಗಾರದವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಅಡವಿಯ ಮನೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರದವುಗಳು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ವಸ್ತು ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and washing vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. None were of silver; it was not considered anything in the days of Solomon.
22 ಹೀರಾಮನ ಹಡಗುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ತಾರ್ಷೀಷಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಬಂಗಾರ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ದಂತ, ಕೋತಿ, ನವಿಲು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
For the king had at sea a navy of Tarshish with the navy of Hiram: once every three years came the navy of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
23 ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಅರಸರಿಗಿಂತ ಮಿಗಿಲಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
24 ದೇವರು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತರೂ ಅವನ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿದರು.
All the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
25 ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸುಗಂಧಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಹೇಸರಗತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ವರುಷ ವರುಷವೂ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
They brought every man his tribute, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and clothing, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
26 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ, ರಾಹುತರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು. ಸಾವಿರದ ನಾನೂರು ರಥಗಳು, ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುದುರೆಯ ರಾಹುತರು ಇದ್ದರು. ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರಿಸಿದನು, ಉಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ರಥಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
27 ಅರಸನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಂತೆಯೂ, ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅತ್ತಿಮರಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
The king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
28 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಕುವೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಅರಸನ ವರ್ತಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಡುಹಿಂಡಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt and Kue; and the king's merchants received them from Kue at a price.
29 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಆರುನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳ ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ರಥವನ್ನೂ ನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳ ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನೂ ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳೆಲ್ಲರು ಇವರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿಯೇ ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And came up and went out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty; and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Aram, they brought them out by their means.
