ಕೊರಿಂಥದವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 4
1 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬೇಕು: ನಾವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ದಾಸರೆಂತಲೂ ದೇವರ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತ ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕರೆಂದೂ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿರಿ.
Let a man consider us like this: as Christ's subordinates and stewards of God's mysteries.
2 ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಾಗಿರುವುದು ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣತಕ್ಕ ಸದ್ಗುಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
Moreover, what is required of stewards is that each be found faithful.
3 ನನಗಾದರೋ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಾಗಲಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಾಗುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಲ್ಪ ಕಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
So to me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court; in fact, I do not even judge myself.
4 ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವವರು ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ,
For I am conscious of nothing against myself, although I am not justified by this; it is the Lord who judges me.
5 ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೂ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡದೆ, ಕರ್ತದೇವರ ಬರುವಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯಿರಿ. ಅವರು ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗುಪ್ತ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೃದಯದ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷಪಡಿಸುವರು. ಆಗ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಬರತಕ್ಕ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಯು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಬರುವುದು.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and expose the motives of the hearts. At that time the praise that comes to each will be from God.
6 ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಾಂತರೂಪವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಪೊಲ್ಲೋಸನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. “ನೀವು ಬರೆದಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀರಿ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು,” ಎಂಬ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. ಆಗ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
I have illustrated these things using myself and Apollos, brothers, for your sakes, so that you may learn from us not to think beyond what is written, that no one of you be puffed up in favor of the one against the other.
7 ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇತರರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ನೀವು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಪಡೆಯದಿರುವಂಥದು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಇದೆಯೇ? ಹೀಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಪಡೆಯದವರಂತೆ ನೀವು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇಕೆ?
Now who is distinguishing you? Or what do you have that you did not receive? So if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?
8 ಈಗ ನೀವು ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ! ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನೀವು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅರಸರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ಸಹ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವಲ್ಲವೇ?
You are already stuffed! You are already rich! You have become ‘kings’ without us! I could wish that you really did reign, so that we might be kings with you too!
9 ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರಾದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮರಣದಂಡನೆ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಂತೆ ದೇವರು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಕಡೆಯವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನನಗನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೇವದೂತರಿಗೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಇಡೀ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೂ ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಪದವಾದ ನೋಟವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For I keep thinking that God has displayed us, the apostles, at the end of the line, like men sentenced to death; because we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.
10 ನಾವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಮೂರ್ಖರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ! ನೀವೋ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರು, ನಾವೋ ಬಲಹೀನರು. ನೀವು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರು, ನೀವು ಮಾನವಂತರು, ನಾವೋ ಮಾನಹೀನರು!
We are fools for Christ while you are wise! We are weak but you are strong! You are esteemed, we are despised!
11 ಈ ಗಳಿಗೆಯವರೆಗೂ ನಾವು ಹಸಿದು ಬಾಯಾರಿದವರೂ, ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ವಸ್ತ್ರವಿಲ್ಲದವರೂ, ಕ್ರೂರವಾಗಿ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವವರೂ, ಮನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರೂ,
To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty; we are poorly dressed, brutally treated, and wander homeless;
12 ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡಿ ದುಡಿಯುವವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಶಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಹಿಂಸೆಪಟ್ಟು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ,
yes, we labor, working with our own hands. Upon being reviled, we bless; upon being persecuted, we endure it;
13 ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಾವು ಈಗಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಸವೋ ವಿಶ್ವದ ಹೊಲಸೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
upon being slandered, we exhort. We have been made as the refuse of the world, the off-scouring of whatever, to this moment.
14 ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರೆಯದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನಷ್ಟೆ.
I am not writing these things to shame you; I am admonishing you as my dear children.
15 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ ಪೋಷಕರು ಇದ್ದರೂ, ತಂದೆಗಳು ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದೆನು.
Because even if you were to have thousands of tutors in Christ, you would not have many fathers, because I am the one who begot you in Christ Jesus, through the Gospel.
16 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನುಕರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Therefore I am urging you, become my imitators.
17 ಇದರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೇ ಕರ್ತ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಮಗ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಅವನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತರುವನು.
That is why I sent you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful son in Sovereign, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every congregation.
18 ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Now some have been puffed up, as though I were not coming to you.
19 ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ಬೇಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮಾತನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂಬುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು.
But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who have been puffed up, but the power.
20 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ.
Because the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power.
21 ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಬೆತ್ತವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಬಿಗಿಯಲು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿ ಬರಲೋ? ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಸೌಮ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬರಲೋ? ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾವುದು ಇಷ್ಟ?
What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a gentle spirit?
