ರೋಮಾಪುರದವರಿಗೆ 1
1 ೧ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ದಾಸನೂ, ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೂ, ದೇವರ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಪೌಲನು,
Paul a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle,
separated unto the gospel of God, (which He had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures) concerning his Son,
who was of the seed of David according to the flesh,
4 ೪ ದೇವರು ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಈ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯು ದೇವರ ಮಗನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕುರಿತಾದದ್ದು.
but powerfully declared to be the Son of God, according to the spirit of holiness, by his resurrection from the dead, even Jesus Christ our Lord;
5 ೫ ಆತನು ವಂಶಕ್ರಮದಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನೂ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಆತ್ಮನ ಶಕ್ತಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತಮೇಲೆ ಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
by whom we have received grace and apostleship to preach the obedience of faith for his name's sake, to all nations;
among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ;
7 ೭ ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೆಂಬ ವಿಧೇಯತ್ವವು ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾವು ಆತನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲತನವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದಿದೆವು.
to all that are in Rome beloved of God, called and holy: grace be to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 ೮ ಮೊದಲು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೂಲಕ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
And first I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is celebrated through the whole world:
9 ೯ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಡೆಬಿಡದೆ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ದೇವರ ಮಗನ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ದೈವಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೇವರೇ ನನಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ.
for God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how incessantly I make mention of you always in my prayers,
intreating if I may now at length have a prosperous journey by the will of God, to come unto you.
11 ೧೧ ನನ್ನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ನಿಮಗೆ ಆತ್ಮೀಕ ವರವೇನಾದರೂ ದೊರಕಿ ನೀವು ದೃಢವಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಸಹಾಯ ಹೊಂದಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established:
12 ೧೨
that is to say, that being among you we may be comforted together by the faith of each, both yours and mine.
13 ೧೩ ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವು ಇತರ ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲವಾದಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಫಲವಾದೀತೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನೇಕಾವರ್ತಿ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾಯಿತೆಂಬುದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದಿರಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನನ್ನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ.
And I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that I often purposed to come unto you, (but have been hindered hitherto) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other Gentiles.
For I am a debtor both to Greeks and barbarians, both to the learned and the unlearned:
therefore am I ready, as much as in me lies, to preach the gospel to you also that are at Rome.
16 ೧೬ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಾಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯು ಮೊದಲು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಗ್ರೀಕರಿಗೆ ಅಂತೂ ನಂಬುವವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ದೇವರ ಬಲಸ್ವರೂಪವಾಗಿದೆ.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both Jew and Greek:
17 ೧೭ ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ದೊರಕುವ ನೀತಿಯು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಬರುತ್ತದೆ. “ನೀತಿವಂತನು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಬದುಕುವನೆಂಬ” ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೋಕ್ತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆ ನೀತಿಯು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವಂಥದಾಗಿದೆ.
for the righteousness of God is therein revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
18 ೧೮ ಅನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡುವವರಾದ ದುಷ್ಟಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ದುಷ್ಟತನದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದುಬರುತ್ತದೆ,
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who withhold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 ೧೯ ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದಾದದ್ದು ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರೇ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿರುವನು.
for what is to be known of God is manifest among them, for God hath manifested it to them.
20 ೨೦ ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣದಿರುವ ಆತನ ಗುಣಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಅಂದರೆ ಆತನ ನಿತ್ಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ, ದೈವತ್ವವೂ, ಜಗದುತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಆತನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ನೆಪವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. (aïdios g126)
Inasmuch as from the first creation of the world, the invisible things of Him, even his eternal power and Godhead, are, if attended to, clearly seen in his works: (aïdios g126)
21 ೨೧ ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ದೇವರೆಂದು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆತನ ಉಪಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಎಷ್ಟೇ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಫಲ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
so that they are inexcusable; because having thus known God they glorified Him not as God, neither were they thankful; but were infatuated by their own reasonings, and their heart being void of understanding was darkened.
Pretending to be wise they Became fools:
23 ೨೩ ಲಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯ, ಪಶು, ಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಸರಿಸೃಪಗಳು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳ ರೂಪಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬದಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for an image like to corruptible man, and birds, and beasts, and reptiles.
24 ೨೪ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆದು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಹಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾನಹೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಲಸಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ನಡತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
Wherefore God also gave them up to impurity, in the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves;
25 ೨೫ ಅವರು ಸತ್ಯ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಸತ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸದೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೇ ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವವರಾದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಆತನೇ ನಿರಂತರ ಸ್ತುತಿ ಹೊಂದತಕ್ಕವನು, ಆಮೆನ್. (aiōn g165)
who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature instead of the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 ೨೬ ಅವರು ಇಂಥದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಲಜ್ಜಾಸ್ಪದವಾದ ಕಾಮಾಭಿಲಾಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ಸ್ವಾಭಾವಿಕವಾದ ಭೋಗವನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ಸ್ವಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾದ ಕಾಮಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
Therefore God gave them up to infamous passions: for even their women changed the natural use into that which is unnatural,
27 ೨೭ ಅದರಂತೆ ಪುರುಷರು ಸಹ ಸ್ವಾಭಾವಿಕವಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಸಂಗವನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮಲಿಯೇ ಕಾಮೋದ್ರೇಕಗೊಂಡರು; ಸಲಿಂಗಕಾಮಿಗಳಾದರು; ಲಜ್ಜಾಹೀನರಾಗಿ ವರ್ತಿಸಿದರು; ತಮ್ಮ ದುರ್ನಡತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
and the men likewise, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust to one another, men with men committing shame, and receiving in themselves the recompence of their error which they deserved.
28 ೨೮ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ತಮಗಿದ್ದ ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಮಾಡಬಾರದ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವವರಾಗುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಶ್ಲೀಲ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
And as they were not careful to acknowledge God, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind to do things that were not fit to be done:
29 ೨೯ ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ, ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗತನ, ಲೋಭ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚು, ಕೊಲೆ, ಜಗಳ, ಮೋಸ, ಹಗೆತನಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದವರಾದರು.
being filled with all injustice, lewdness, wickedness, covetousness, malignity; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and every evil habit; whisperers,
30 ೩೦ ಅವರು ಸುಳ್ಳುಸುದ್ದಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿಸುವವರೂ, ಚಾಡಿಹೇಳುವವರೂ, ದೇವರನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವರೂ, ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನವರೂ, ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳೂ, ಬಡಾಯಿಕೊಚ್ಚುವವರೂ, ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವರೂ,
slanderers, haters of God, injurious, haughty, proud, inventers of mischief, undutiful to parents, void of understanding,
31 ೩೧ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದವರೂ ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದವರೂ, ಮಾತಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪುವವರೂ, ಮಮತೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರೂ, ಕರುಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರೂ ಆದರು.
covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, and unmerciful:
32 ೩೨ ಇಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವವರು ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂಬ ದೇವವಿಧಿಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ತಾವೇ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನೂ ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಾ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
who though they knew the just judgement of God, (that they who commit such practises are worthy of death) yet not only do these very things, but also countenance and encourage others in the practice of them.
