ರೋಮಾಪುರದವರಿಗೆ 14
Now him that is weak in the faith receive, not to [the] determining of questions of reasoning.
2 ೨ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯಾವುದನ್ನಾದರೂ ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದೆಂದು ನಂಬುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಿಲ್ಲದವನು ಕಾಯಿಪಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
One man is assured that he may eat all things; but the weak eats herbs.
3 ೩ ತಿನ್ನುವವನು ತಿನ್ನದವನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸಬಾರದು; ತಿನ್ನದವನು ತಿನ್ನುವವನನ್ನು ದೋಷಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಬಾರದು. ದೇವರು ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ?
Let not him that eats make little of him that eats not; and let not him that eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him.
4 ೪ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ಸೇವಕನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಯಾರು? ಅವನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರೂ, ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದರೂ ಅದು ಅವನ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೇ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು. ಅವನು ನಿರ್ದೊಷಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು; ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? to his own master he stands or falls. And he shall be made to stand; for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5 ೫ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಒಂದು ದಿನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ದಿನವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದೆಣಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದೆಣಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂಚಲಪಡದೆ ದೃಢವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
One man esteems day more than day; another esteems every day [alike]. Let each be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 ೬ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವವನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತಿನ್ನುವವನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ. ತಿನ್ನದವನು ಸಹ ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ತಿನ್ನದೆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He that regards the day, regards it to [the] Lord. And he that eats, eats to [the] Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that does not eat, [it is] to [the] Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.
For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.
8 ೮ ನಾವು ಬದುಕಿದರೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಬದುಕುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಸತ್ತರೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಬದುಕಿದರೂ ಸತ್ತರೂ ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನವರೇ.
For both if we should live, [it is] to the Lord we live; and if we should die, [it is] to the Lord we die: both if we should live then, and if we should die, we are the Lord's.
For to this [end] Christ has died and lived [again], that he might rule over both dead and living.
10 ೧೦ ತಿನ್ನದವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವುದೇನು? ತಿನ್ನುವವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಹೀನೈಸುವುದೇನು? ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಸನದ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಕು.
But thou, why judgest thou thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou make little of thy brother? for we shall all be placed before the judgment-seat of God.
11 ೧೧ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ: “ನಾನು ಜೀವಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರುವನು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ನಾಲಿಗೆಯೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದೇವರೆಂದು ಆರಿಕೆಮಾಡುವರು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದೆ.
For it is written, I live, saith [the] Lord, that to me shall bow every knee, and every tongue shall confess to God.
So then each of us shall give an account concerning himself to God.
13 ೧೩ ಆದಕಾರಣ, ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಒಬ್ಬರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬರು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡದೆ ಇರೋಣ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಸಹೋದರನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಅಡೆತಡೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಹಾಕಬಾರದೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
Let us no longer therefore judge one another; but judge ye this rather, not to put a stumbling-block or a fall-trap before his brother.
14 ೧೪ ಯಾವ ಪದಾರ್ಥವೂ ಸ್ವತಃ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಪದಾರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧವೆಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನು ಭಾವಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅದು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except to him who reckons anything to be unclean, to that man [it is] unclean.
15 ೧೫ ನೀನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಆಹಾರದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ನೋವುಂಟಾದರೆ ನೀನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವವನಲ್ಲ. ಯಾವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಪ್ರಾಣಕೊಟ್ಟನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದ ಆಹಾರದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕೆಡಿಸಬಾರದು.
For if on account of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer according to love. Destroy not him with thy meat for whom Christ has died.
Let not then your good be evil spoken of;
17 ೧೭ ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ತಿನ್ನುವುದೂ, ಕುಡಿಯುವುದೂ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವಲ್ಲ ನೀತಿಯೂ, ಸಮಾಧಾನವೂ, ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದಾಗುವ ಆನಂದವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in [the] Holy Spirit.
18 ೧೮ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವವನೂ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿರಲಿ.
For he that in this serves the Christ [is] acceptable to God and approved of men.
So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another.
20 ೨೦ ದೇವರು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಆಹಾರದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಕೆಡವಬೇಡ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳೂ ಶುದ್ಧವೇ; ಆದರೆ ತಿಂದು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ವಿಘ್ನವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುವುದು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು.
For the sake of meat do not destroy the work of God. All things indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil to that man who eats while stumbling [in doing so].
21 ೨೧ ಮಾಂಸ ತಿನ್ನುವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಾಗಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು.
[It is] right not to eat meat, nor drink wine, nor [do anything] in which thy brother stumbles, or is offended, or is weak.
22 ೨೨ ನಿನಗಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಗೋಚರವಾಗಿ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇರಲಿ. ತಾನು ಒಪ್ಪಿದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶಯ ಪಡದವನೇ ಧನ್ಯನು.
Hast thou faith? have [it] to thyself before God. Blessed [is] he who does not judge himself in what he allows.
23 ೨೩ ಸಂಶಯಪಟ್ಟು ಊಟಮಾಡುವವನು ಸಂಶಯದಿಂದ ತಿನ್ನುವ ಕಾರಣ ತನ್ನ ಊಟದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಆಧಾರವಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಪಾಪವೇ ಆಗಿದೆ.
But he that doubts, if he eat, is condemned; because [it is] not of faith; but whatever [is] not of faith is sin.
