ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 53
1 ೧ ಪ್ರಧಾನಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು; ಮಹಲಾತ್ ಎಂಬ ರಾಗದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು; ದಾವೀದನ ಪದ್ಯ. ದುರ್ಮತಿಗಳು, “ದೇವರಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರು; ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Unto the end, for Maeleth, understandings to David. The fool said in his heart: There is no God. They are corrupted, and become abominable in iniquities: there is none that doth good.
2 ೨ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಾನ್ನಿಧ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರು ಇದ್ದಾರೋ ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ,
God looked down from heaven on the children of men: to see if there were any that did understand, or did seek God.
All have gone aside, they are become unprofitable together, there is none that doth good, no not one.
4 ೪ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವವರು ಯಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Shall not all the workers of iniquity know, who eat up my people as they eat bread?
5 ೫ ಭಯಪಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರು ಪಕ್ಕನೆ ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತರಾದರು; ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಚದರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನಲ್ಲಾ. ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗುವರು.
They have not called upon God: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear. For God hath scattered the bones of them that please men: they have been confounded, because God hath despised them.
6 ೬ ಚೀಯೋನಿನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ಬೇಗನೆ ಬರಲಿ. ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಭಾಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿಸುವಾಗ, ಆತನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಯಾಕೋಬ ವಂಶದವರು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುವರು.
Who will give out of Sion the salvation of Israel? when God shall bring back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
