ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 49

1 ೧ ಪ್ರಧಾನಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು; ಕೋರಹೀಯರ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಸಕಲ ದೇಶಗಳ ಜನರೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಭೂಲೋಕದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

2 ೨ ಜನರೇ, ಜನಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೇ, ಬಡವರೇ ಮತ್ತು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರೇ, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಆಲಿಸಿರಿ.

Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

3 ೩ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದು; ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಧ್ಯಾನವು ವಿವೇಕದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ.

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

4 ೪ ನಾನು ಆತನ ಸಾಮ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು, ಕಿನ್ನರಿಯನ್ನು ನುಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಅದರ ಗೂಡಾರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವೆನು.

I will incline my ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

5 ೫ ಕೇಡಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಕು? ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಮೋಸದಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಏಕೆ ಹೆದರಬೇಕು?

Why should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall surround me?

6 ೬ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ನಂಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ತಾವು ಬಹಳ ಆಸ್ತಿವಂತರೆಂದು ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ಉಬ್ಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

7 ೭ ಆದರೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರದಂತೆ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಈಡನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರನು.

None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

8 ೮ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯಲು, ಅಪಾರ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಿಸಲಾರನು.

(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever: )

9 ೯ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಹಣ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ, ಸಾಲುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಅಂಥ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಿಷ್ಫಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು.

That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

10 ೧೦ ಸುಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಸಾಯುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇವಲ್ಲಾ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪಶುಗಳಂತಿರುವ ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಆಸ್ತಿಯು ಇತರರ ಪಾಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the stupid person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

11 ೧೧ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿಯೇ ಶಾಶ್ವತಮಂದಿರವು; ತಮ್ಮ ನಿವಾಸಗಳು ತಲತಲಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವುದೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸಿ, ಭೂಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

12 ೧೨ ಆದರೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಘನವಾದ ಪದವಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಸ್ಥಿರವಲ್ಲ; ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ಪಶುಗಳಂತೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

13 ೧೩ ಮೂರ್ಖರಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವವರಿಗೂ ಇದೇ ಗತಿ. (ಸೆಲಾ)

This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. (Selah)

14 ೧೪ ಅವರು ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಪಾತಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು; ಮೃತ್ಯುವೇ ಅವರ ಪಾಲಕನು. ಅವರು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದುಹೋಗುವರು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿವಾಸವಿಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಪಾತಾಳವು ಅವರ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದು. (Sheol h7585)

Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. (Sheol h7585)

15 ೧೫ ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಮೃತ್ಯುಹಸ್ತದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕಾರಮಾಡುವನು. (ಸೆಲಾ) (Sheol h7585)

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

16 ೧೬ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವೂ, ಗೃಹವೈಭವವೂ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾದಾಗ ಕಳವಳಪಡಬೇಡ.

Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;

17 ೧೭ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ಏನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನ ವೈಭವವು ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

18 ೧೮ ಸಿರಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ನೆರೆಯವರ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆ ತಪ್ಪದು ಎಂಬಂತೆ, ಅವನು ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮಸ್ತುತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಜನರಸ್ತುತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕೂಡಿದವನಾದರೂ,

Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.

19 ೧೯ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅವರಂತೆಯೇ, ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.

20 ೨೦ ವಿವೇಕಹೀನ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಘನವಾದ ಪದವಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಶಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಪಶುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
