ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 37

1 ೧ ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಕೆಟ್ಟ ನಡತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತಳಮಳಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ದುರಾಚಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅಸೂಯೆಪಡಬೇಡ.

A psalm for David himself. Be not emulous of evildoers; nor envy them that work iniquity.

2 ೨ ಅವರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆ ಬೇಗ ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುವರು; ಹಸಿರು ಸಸಿಯಂತೆ ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವರು.

For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall.

3 ೩ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಟ್ಟು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು; ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸು.

Trust in the Lord, and do good, and dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed with its riches.

4 ೪ ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸು; ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವನು.

Delight in the Lord, and he will give thee the requests of thy heart.

5 ೫ ನಿನ್ನ ಭೂಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಚಿಂತೆಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಭರವಸದಿಂದಿರು; ಆತನೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸುವನು.

Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it.

6 ೬ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಉದಯದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.

And he will bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 ೭ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತನಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾದಿರು; ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದುವವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಉರಿಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.

Be subject to the Lord and pray to him Envy not the man who prospereth in his way; the man who doth unjust things.

8 ೮ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿಕೋ; ರೋಷವನ್ನು ಬಿಡು. ತಳಮಳಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ಕೆಡುಕಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದೀತು.

Cease from anger, and leave rage; have no emulation to do evil.

9 ೯ ಕೆಡುಕರು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವರು; ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರೇ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು.

For the evildoers shall be cut off: but they that wait upon the Lord shall inherit the land.

10 ೧೦ ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲದೊಳಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಕಾಣಿಸದೆ ನಿರ್ನಾಮವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವನು; ಅವನಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: and thou shalt seek his place, and shalt not find it.

11 ೧೧ ಆದರೆ ದೀನರು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು; ಅವರು ಮಹಾಸೌಖ್ಯದಿಂದ ಆನಂದಿಸುವರು.

But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace.

12 ೧೨ ದುಷ್ಟನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹಲ್ಲುಕಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.

The sinner shall watch the just man: and shall gnash upon him with his teeth.

13 ೧೩ ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಾಕಾಲ ಬರುತ್ತದೆಂದು ನಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foreseeth that his day shall come.

14 ೧೪ ದುಷ್ಟರು ದೀನದರಿದ್ರರನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಯಥಾರ್ಥರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The wicked have drawn out the sword: they have bent their bow. To cast down the poor and needy, to kill the upright of heart.

15 ೧೫ ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಕತ್ತಿ ಅವರ ಎದೆಯನ್ನೇ ಇರಿದುಬಿಡುವುದು; ಅವರ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಸಿಡಿದು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವವು;

Let their sword enter into their own hearts, and let their bow be broken.

16 ೧೬ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಹಾಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಡತನವೇ ಲೇಸು.

Better is a little to the just, than the great riches of the wicked.

17 ೧೭ ದುಷ್ಟರ ತೋಳುಗಳು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವವು; ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಉದ್ಧರಿಸುವನು.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken in pieces; but the Lord strengtheneth the just.

18 ೧೮ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳ ಜೀವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವರ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು.

The Lord knoweth the days of undefiled; and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 ೧೯ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಪತ್ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಪಮಾನವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬರಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊರತೆಯಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

They shall not be confounded in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be filled:

20 ೨೦ ದುಷ್ಟರೋ ನಾಶವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವರು; ಯೆಹೋವನ ವೈರಿಗಳು ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲುಗಳ ಸೊಗಸಿನಂತಿದ್ದು ಮಾಯವಾಗುವರು. ಅವರು ಹಬೆಯಂತೆ ತೋರಿ ಅಡಗಿಹೋಗುವರು.

Because the wicked shall perish. And the enemies of the Lord, presently after they shall be honoured and exalted, shall come to nothing and vanish like smoke.

21 ೨೧ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಸಾಲಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತೀರಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು; ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಪರೋಪಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಧರ್ಮಕೊಡುವನು.

The sinner shall borrow, and not pay again; but the just sheweth mercy and shall give.

22 ೨೨ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ಯಾರಿಗಿರುವುದೋ ಅವರು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು; ಆತನ ಶಾಪವು ಯಾರಿಗಿರುವುದೋ ಅವರು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವರು.

For such as bless him shall inherit the land: but such as curse him shall perish.

23 ೨೩ ಸತ್ಪುರುಷನ ಗತಿಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಲೇ ಆಗಿದೆ, ಆತನು ಅವನ ಪ್ರವರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾನೆ.

With the Lord shall the steps of a man be directed, and he shall like well his way.

24 ೨೪ ಅವನು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೂ ಏಳದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಉದ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡುವನು.

When he shall fall he shall not be bruised, for the Lord putteth his hand under him.

25 ೨೫ ನಾನು ಬಾಲಕನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ಈಗ ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಭಿಕ್ಷೆಬೇಡಿ ತಿನ್ನುವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

I have been young, and now am old; and I have not seen the just forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.

26 ೨೬ ಅವನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಧರ್ಮಿಷ್ಠನಾಗಿ ಹಣ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

He sheweth mercy, and lendeth all the day long; and his seed shall be in blessing.

27 ೨೭ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡು; ಆಗ ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವಿ.

Decline from evil and do good, and dwell for ever and ever.

28 ೨೮ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವವನು; ತನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕೈಬಿಡುವವನಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿರುವರು. ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸಂತತಿ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.

For the Lord loveth judgment, and will not forsake his saints: they shall be preserved for ever. The unjust shall be punished, and the seed of the wicked shall perish.

29 ೨೯ ನೀತಿವಂತರೋ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವರು.

But the just shall inherit the land, and shall dwell therein for evermore.

30 ೩೦ ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವನ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.

The mouth of the just shall meditate wisdom: and his tongue shall speak judgment.

31 ೩೧ ದೇವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವು ಅವನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು; ಅವನು ಜಾರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

The law of his God is in his heart, and his steps shall not be supplanted.

32 ೩೨ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಮಯನೋಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

The wicked watcheth the just man, and seeketh to put him to death,

33 ೩೩ ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

But the Lord will not leave in his hands; nor condemn him when he shall be judged.

34 ೩೪ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸು; ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು; ದುಷ್ಟರು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವುದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡುವಿ.

Expect the Lord and keep his way: and he will exalt thee to inherit the land: when the sinners shall perish thou shalt see.

35 ೩೫ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಭೀಕರನಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿರಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಮರದಂತೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೆನು.

I have seen the wicked highly exalted, and lifted up like the cedars of Libanus.

36 ೩೬ ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನು ಆ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ, ಅವನು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.

And I passed by, and lo, he was not: and I sought him and his place was not found.

37 ೩೭ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ನಡತೆಯುಳ್ಳವನನ್ನು ನೋಡು, ಯಥಾರ್ಥನನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸು; ಶಾಂತನಿಗೆ ಸಂತಾನವೃದ್ಧಿ ಆಗುವುದು.

Keep innocence, and behold justice: for there are remnants for the peaceable man.

38 ೩೮ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸಂತಾನವು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.

But the unjust shall be destroyed together: the remnants of the wicked shall perish.

39 ೩೯ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಲೇ; ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದುರ್ಗಸ್ಥಾನ.

But the salvation of the just is from the Lord, and he is their protector in the time of trouble.

40 ೪೦ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸಹಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವನು; ಅವರು ಆತನ ಆಶ್ರಿತರಾದುದರಿಂದ, ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.

And the Lord will help them and deliver them: and he will rescue them from the wicked, and save them, because they have hoped in him.
