1 ೧ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋದಾಗ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನನಗೆ ವೈರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ನಿಂತ ಜನರು ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
A Psalm of David, when he fled from the presence of his son Abessalom. O Lord, why are they that afflict me multiplied? many rise up against me.
2 ೨ ಅನೇಕರು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ, “ಅವನಿಗೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಸಹಾಯವು ಆಗುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. (ಸೆಲಾ)
Many say concerning my soul, There is no deliverance for him in his God. (Pause)
3 ೩ ಆದರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವ ಗುರಾಣಿಯೂ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರನೂ, ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ.
But you, O Lord, are my helper: my glory, and the one that lifts up my head.
4 ೪ ನಾನು ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವಾಗ, ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತದಿಂದ ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. (ಸೆಲಾ)
I cried to the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy mountain. (Pause)
5 ೫ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವವನು, ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿದ್ದೆಮಾಡಿ ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡೆನು.
I lay down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord will help me.
6 ೬ ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವೈರಿಗಳಿಗಾದರೂ ನಾನು ಹೆದರೆನು.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, who beset me round about.
7 ೭ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ದವಡೆಯನ್ನು ಬಡಿದು ಅವರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಉದುರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟವನೇ, ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸು.
Arise, Lord; deliver me, my God: for you have struck all who were without cause mine enemies; you have broken the teeth of sinners.
8 ೮ ಜಯವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಲೇ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ. (ಸೆಲಾ)
Deliverance is the Lord's, and your blessing is upon your people.
