ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 17

1 ೧ ದಾವೀದನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದುದನ್ನು ಆಲೈಸು; ನನ್ನ ಮೊರೆಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಡು. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು; ಅದು ಕಪಟವಾದ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದದ್ದಲ್ಲ.

A prayer of David. Hear, O LORD, my righteous plea; listen to my cry. Give ear to my prayer— it comes from lips free of deceit.

2 ೨ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದ ತೀರ್ಪು ಉಂಟಾಗಲಿ; ನೀನು ನೀತಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನೋಡುವವನಲ್ಲವೇ.

May my vindication come from Your presence; may Your eyes see what is right.

3 ೩ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೂ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ವೇಳೆ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದರೂ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಶೋಧಿಸಿದರೂ, ಯಾವ ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆಯಾದರೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

You have tried my heart; You have visited me in the night. You have tested me and found no evil; I have resolved not to sin with my mouth.

4 ೪ ನಾನಂತೂ ಲೋಕವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

As for the deeds of men— by the word of Your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent.

5 ೫ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲು ಜಾರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

My steps have held to Your paths; my feet have not slipped.

6 ೬ ದೇವರೇ, ನನಗೆ ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವಿಯೆಂದು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳು.

I call on You, O God, for You will answer me. Incline Your ear to me; hear my words.

7 ೭ ಭುಜಬಲವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿ, ಶರಣಾಗತರನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವಾತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸು.

Show the wonders of Your loving devotion, You who save by Your right hand those who seek refuge from their foes.

8 ೮ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ದುಷ್ಟರಿಂದಲೂ, ಪ್ರಾಣವೈರಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಿ.

Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings

9 ೯ ನಿನ್ನ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಂದ ಕಾಯಿ; ಕಣ್ಣು ಗುಡ್ಡಿನಂತೆಯೇ ಕಾಪಾಡು.

from the wicked who assail me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.

10 ೧೦ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

They have closed their callous hearts; their mouths speak with arrogance.

11 ೧೧ ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟರೂ ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಮಯನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

They have tracked us down, and now surround us; their eyes are set to cast us to the ground,

12 ೧೨ ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುವು ಸೀಳಿಬಿಡಲಾಶಿಸುವ ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆಯೂ, ಮರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.

like a lion greedy for prey, like a young lion lurking in ambush.

13 ೧೩ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ನಿಂತು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕಾಪಾಡು.

Arise, O LORD, confront them! Bring them to their knees; deliver me from the wicked by Your sword,

14 ೧೪ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಇಹಲೋಕವೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಲೆಂದು ನಂಬಿದ ನರರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸು; ನಿನ್ನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ. ಅವರು ಸಂತಾನವೃದ್ಧಿಹೊಂದಿ ಉಳಿದ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

from such men, O LORD, by Your hand— from men of the world whose portion is in this life. May You fill the bellies of Your treasured ones and satisfy their sons, so they leave their abundance to their children.

15 ೧೫ ನಾನಾದರೋ ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯು; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಾನ್ನಿಧ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸೇರುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಸ್ವರೂಪ ದರ್ಶನದಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿರುವೆನು.

As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I will be satisfied in Your presence.
