1 ೧ ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸು; ನನ್ನ ಬಿನ್ನಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿ ಸತ್ಯತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು.
A Psalm of David, when his son pursued him. O Lord, attend to my prayer: hearken to my supplication in thy truth; hear me in thy righteousness.
2 ೨ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಬೇಡ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಜೀವಿಯೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನಲ್ಲ.
And enter not into judgment with thy servant, for in thy sight shall no [man] living be justified.
3 ೩ ವೈರಿಯು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಜೀವವನ್ನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಜಜ್ಜಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಬಹು ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಸತ್ತವರಂತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has brought my life down to the ground; he has made me to dwell in a dark [place], as those that have been long dead.
4 ೪ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬೆರಗಾಗಿದೆ.
Therefore my spirit was grieved in me; my heart was troubled within me.
5 ೫ ಹಳೆಯ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪುಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ;
I remembered the days of old; and I meditated on all thy doings: [yea], I meditated on the works of thine hands.
6 ೬ ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಬೇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಒಣನೆಲವು ನೀರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ತವಕಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. (ಸೆಲಾ)
I spread forth my hands to thee; my soul [thirsts] for thee, as a dry land. (Pause)
7 ೭ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಬೇಗನೆ ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು; ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗಿದೆ. ನೀನು ವಿಮುಖನಾದರೆ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಸಮಾನನಾಗಿರುವೆನು.
Hear me speedily, O Lord; my spirit has failed; turn not away thy face from me, else I shall be like to them that go down to the pit.
8 ೮ ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ. ನಾನು ನಡೆಯತಕ್ಕ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸು; ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Cause me to hear thy mercy in the morning; for I have hoped in thee; make known to me, O Lord, the way wherein I should walk; for I have lifted up my soul to thee.
9 ೯ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಮೊರೆಹೊಕ್ಕಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸು.
Deliver me from mine enemies, O Lord; for I have fled to thee for refuge.
10 ೧೦ ನಿನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತದಂತೆ ನಡೆಯಲು ನನಗೆ ಕಲಿಸು, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ನೀನಲ್ಲವೋ? ಶುಭಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಮದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಿ.
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God; thy good Spirit shall guide me in the straight [way].
11 ೧೧ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉಜ್ಜೀವಿಸಮಾಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ವಿಪತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸು.
Thou shalt quicken me, O Lord, for thy name's sake; in thy righteousness thou shalt bring my soul out of affliction.
12 ೧೨ ನನಗೆ ಕೃಪೆತೋರಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿಬಿಡು. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕಂಟಕರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕು; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಲ್ಲವೇ.
And in thy mercy thou wilt destroy mine enemies, and wilt destroy all those that afflict my soul; for I am thy servant.
