ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 124

1 ೧ ಯಾತ್ರಾಗೀತೆ; ದಾವೀದನದು. “ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮಗಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಗತಿ ಏನಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು?”, ಎಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೇ ಹೇಳಲಿ.

A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. If the Lord hadn't been for us, what would have happened? Let everyone in Israel say:

2 ೨ ನರ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಮಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಾಗ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮಗಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ,

If the Lord hadn't been for us, what would have happened when people came and attacked us?

3 ೩ “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಉರಿಗೊಂಡು, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಜೀವಸಹಿತ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು;

They would have swallowed us alive when their anger raged against us.

4 ೪ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ನದಿಯು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು;

Like a flood they would have swept over us; like a rushing torrent they would have submerged us.

5 ೫ ಮೀರಿದ ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಳುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.”

They would have rushed over us like raging waters, drowning us.

6 ೬ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡಾಟವಾಗಲಿ; ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೀಳಿಬಿಡಲು ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

Praise the Lord, who didn't hand us over to them as prey to be ripped apart by their teeth.

7 ೭ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವವು ಬೇಟೆಗಾರನ ಬಲೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯಂತಿದೆ; ಬಲೆಯು ಹರಿದುಹೋಯಿತು, ನಾವು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು.

We escaped from them like a bird flying out of a hunter's trap. The trap was broken and we flew away!

8 ೮ ಭೂಮಿ, ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ನಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗುವುದು.

Our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
