ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 123

1 ೧ ಯಾತ್ರಾಗೀತೆ. ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿರುವಾತನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

A Song of degrees. Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

2 ೨ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ದಾಸನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು, ಯಜಮಾನಿಯ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ದಾಸಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನೋಡುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ, ಆತನ ಕಟಾಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.

Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress, so our eyes [are directed] to Jehovah our God, until he be gracious unto us.

3 ೩ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸು, ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸು. ಅವಮಾನ ಹೊಂದಿ ಹೊಂದಿ ನಮಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಯಿತು;

Be gracious unto us, O Jehovah, be gracious unto us; for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

4 ೪ ಲೋಕಭೋಗಿಗಳ ಹಾಸ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠರ ನಿಂದೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬೇಸತ್ತು ಹೋಯಿತು.

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.
