ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 114

1 ೧ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮನೆತನದವರು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ,

When Israel came forth from Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

2 ೨ ಯೆಹೂದವು ದೇವರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಆತನ ರಾಜ್ಯವೂ ಆಯಿತು.

Judah was his sanctuary, And Israel his dominion.

3 ೩ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಕಂಡು ಓಡಿಹೋಯಿತು; ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ಹೊಳೆಯು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿತು.

The sea beheld, and fled; The Jordan turned back.

4 ೪ ಪರ್ವತಗಳು ಟಗರುಗಳಂತೆಯೂ, ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಹಾರಾಡಿದವು.

The mountains skipped like rams, And the hills like lambs.

5 ೫ ಸಮುದ್ರವೇ, ನಿನಗೇನಾಯಿತು? ಏಕೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀ? ಯೊರ್ದನೇ, ಏಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುತ್ತೀ?

What aileth thee, O thou sea! that thou fleest? Thou, Jordan, that thou runnest back?

6 ೬ ಪರ್ವತಗಳೇ, ನೀವು ಟಗರುಗಳಂತೆಯೂ, ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳೇ, ನೀವು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಏಕೆ ಹಾರಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?

Ye mountains, that ye skip like rams, And ye hills like lambs?

7 ೭ ಭೂಲೋಕವೇ, ಕರ್ತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ, ಕಂಪಿಸು.

Tremble, O earth! at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 ೮ ಆತನು ಬಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆರೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಶಿಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾರ್ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Who turned the rock into a standing lake, And the flint into a fountain of water!
