ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 5

1 ೧ ಕಂದಾ, ನನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸು, ವಿವೇಕದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Turn your ear to my understanding:

2 ೨ ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ನೀನು ವಿವೇಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವವು.

that you may maintain discretion, that your lips may preserve knowledge.

3 ೩ ವೇಶ್ಯಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಾದರೋ ಜೇನುಗರೆಯುವುದು, ಅವಳ ಮಾತು ಎಣ್ಣೆಗಿಂತಲೂ ನಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil,

4 ೪ ಅವಳು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷದಂತೆ ಕಹಿಯೂ, ಇಬ್ಬಾಯಿಕತ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣವೂ ಆಗುವಳು.

But in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 ೫ ಅವಳು ಮರಣದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವಳು, ಅವಳ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ಪಾತಾಳದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವು. (Sheol h7585)

Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

6 ೬ ಅವಳ ನಡತೆಯು ಚಂಚಲವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸಲಾರಳು, ಅದು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

She gives no thought to the way of life. Her ways are crooked, and she doesn't know it.

7 ೭ ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಬೇಡ.

Now therefore, son, listen to me. Do not depart from the words of my mouth.

8 ೮ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅವಳ ಮನೆಬಾಗಿಲ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋದೆಯಾ, ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ!

Remove your way far from her. Do not come near the door of her house,

9 ೯ ಎಚ್ಚರವಹಿಸಿಕೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪುರುಷತ್ವವು ಪರಾಧೀನವಾಗುವುದು, ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯವು ಕ್ರೂರರ ವಶವಾಗುವುದು.

lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the merciless;

10 ೧೦ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಪರರು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ನೀನು ಅನ್ಯನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡಿಯುವಿ.

lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich another man's house.

11 ೧೧ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಅಂಗಲಾಚಿಕೊಂಡು,

You will groan at your latter end, when your flesh and your body are consumed,

12 ೧೨ “ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾನು ಸದುಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡಿತು,

and say, "How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

13 ೧೩ ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧಕರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶಕರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ!

neither have I obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor turned my ear to those who instructed me.

14 ೧೪ ನಾನು ದೇವಜನರ ಸಭೆಯ ನಡುವೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿಗೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆದೆನು” ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

I have come to the brink of utter ruin, in the midst of the gathered assembly."

15 ೧೫ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೊಳದ ನೀರನ್ನು, ಸ್ವಂತ ಬಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಕ್ಕುವ ಜಲವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕುಡಿ.

Drink water out of your own cistern, running water out of your own well.

16 ೧೬ ನಿನ್ನ ಒರತೆಗಳು ಬಯಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹರಡಿ ಹರಿಯುವುದು ಹಿತವೇ?

Should your springs overflow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares?

17 ೧೭ ಅವು ನಿನಗೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೇ ಹರಿಯಲಿ, ಪರರು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕುಡಿಯಬಾರದು.

Let them be for yourself alone, not for strangers with you.

18 ೧೮ ನಿನ್ನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯು ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಯೌವನಕಾಲದ ಪತ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸು.

Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.

19 ೧೯ ಆಕೆ ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ಜಿಂಕೆಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಅಂದವಾದ ದುಪ್ಪಿಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಇರುವಳಲ್ಲಾ, ಆಕೆಯ ಸ್ತನಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸರ್ವದಾ ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಲಿ, ಆಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಲೀನವಾಗಿರು.

A loving doe and a graceful deer—let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love.

20 ೨೦ ಮಗನೇ, ಏಕೆ ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿ, ಅನ್ಯಳ ಎದೆಯನ್ನು ತಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇಕೆ?

For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another?

21 ೨೧ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಲೇ ಇವೆ, ಆತನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD. He examines all his paths.

22 ೨೨ ದುಷ್ಟನ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸುವವು, ಅವನ ಪಾಪಪಾಶಗಳೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವವು.

The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare him. The cords of his sin hold him firmly.

23 ೨೩ ಸದುಪದೇಶದ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು, ತನ್ನ ಅತಿಮೂರ್ಖತನದಿಂದ ಭ್ರಾಂತನಾಗುವನು.

He will die for lack of instruction. In the greatness of his folly, he will go astray.
