1 ೧ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿ. ಯಾಕೆ ಎಂಬುವವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಗೂರನ ಮಾತುಗಳು. ಇವನು ಇಥಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ, ಇಥಿಯೇಲನಿಗೂ ಉಕ್ಕಾಲನಿಗೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

4 ೪ ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ ಇಳಿದಿರುವವನಾರು? ಮುಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿರುವವರು ಯಾರು? ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಮೂಟೆಕಟ್ಟಿರುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಅವನ ಹೆಸರೇನು? ಅವನ ಮಗನ ಹೆಸರೇನು? ನೀನೇ ಬಲ್ಲವನು.

8 ೮ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕಪಟವನ್ನೂ, ಸುಳ್ಳುಮಾತನ್ನೂ ತೊಲಗಿಸು, ಬಡತನವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಕೊಡದೆ ನನಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಭೋಜನಮಾಡಿಸು.

9 ೯ ಹಾಗಾಗದೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆತುಂಬಿದವನಾದರೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯಾರೋ?” ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸೇನು, ಬಡವನಾದರೆ ಕಳ್ಳತನಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತೆನು.

10 ೧೦ ಆಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಣಿಗೆ ದೂರನ್ನು ಹೇಳಬೇಡ, ಅವನು ಶಪಿಸಾನು, ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ದೋಷವು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದೀತು.
