ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 2

1 ೧ ಕಂದಾ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಧಿಯಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ,

My son, if thou receivest my words, and layest up my commandments with thee,

2 ೨ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಯನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕಡೆಗೂ, ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ವಿವೇಕದ ಕಡೆಗೂ ತಿರುಗಿಸು;

so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom [and] thou apply thy heart to understanding;

3 ೩ ಬುದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟು, ವಿವೇಕಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೋ.

yea, if thou criest after discernment [and] liftest up thy voice to understanding;

4 ೪ ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಂತೆಯು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪದಂತೆಯು ಹುಡುಕು;

if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hidden treasures:

5 ೫ ಆಗ ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯವನ್ನು ಅರಿತು, ದೈವಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, and find the knowledge of God.

6 ೬ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಾತನು, ಆತನ ಬಾಯಿಂದಲೇ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯೂ, ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಹೊರಟು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ.

For Jehovah giveth wisdom; out of his mouth [come] knowledge and understanding.

7 ೭ ಆತನು ಯಥಾರ್ಥಚಿತ್ತರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಡುವನು. ದೋಷವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಡೆಯುವವರಿಗೆ ಗುರಾಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು,

He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; [he] is a shield to them that walk in integrity;

8 ೮ ನ್ಯಾಯಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ತನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತರ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

guarding the paths of just judgment and keeping the way of his godly ones.

9 ೯ ಹೀಗಿರಲು ನೀನು ನೀತಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯ, ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಸಕಲ ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness and judgment and equity: every good path.

10 ೧೦ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವುದು, ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿತಕರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.

When wisdom entereth into thy heart and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul,

11 ೧೧ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯು ನಿನಗೆ ಕಾವಲಾಗಿರುವುದು, ವಿವೇಕವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದು.

discretion shall keep thee, understanding shall preserve thee:

12 ೧೨ ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದಲೂ, ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವರಿಂದಲೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

To deliver thee from the way of evil, from the man that speaketh froward things;

13 ೧೩ ಅವರಾದರೋ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು, ಧರ್ಮಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡುವರು.

[from those] who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

14 ೧೪ ಅವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿ, ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ದುಷ್ಟತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವರು.

who rejoice to do evil, [and] delight in the frowardness of evil;

15 ೧೫ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ವಕ್ರವಾಗಿವೆ. ಅವರ ನಡತೆಗಳು ದುರ್ನಡತೆಗಳೇ.

whose paths are crooked, and who are perverted in their course:

16 ೧೬ ವಿವೇಕವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜಾರಳಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ಸವಿಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದು.

To deliver thee from the strange woman, from the stranger who flattereth with her words;

17 ೧೭ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಯೌವನಕಾಲದ ಕಾಂತನನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ, ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

who forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God;

18 ೧೮ ಅವಳ ಮನೆಯು ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯುವ ದಾರಿ, ಅವಳ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಪ್ರೇತಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ.

— for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead;

19 ೧೯ ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ದೊರೆಯುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

none that go unto her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life:

20 ೨೦ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವಂತೆ ವಿವೇಕವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿ, ನೀತಿವಂತರ ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

— that thou mayest walk in the way of the good, and keep the paths of the righteous.

21 ೨೧ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರಾಗಿರುವರು, ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವರು.

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it;

22 ೨೨ ದುಷ್ಟರಾದರೋ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವರು, ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲರಾಗುವರು.

but the wicked shall be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful shall be plucked up out of it.
