ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 16

1 ೧ ಹೃದಯದ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವಶವು, ತಕ್ಕ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಾಗುವುದು.

The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [are] from the LORD.

2 ೨ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ನಡತೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವಂತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಂತರಂಗವನ್ನೇ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.

All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.

3 ೩ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಭಾರವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಹಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವವು.

Commit thy works to the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

4 ೪ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಒಂದೊಂದನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕ ಗುರಿಯಿಂದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಹೌದು, ಕೇಡಿನ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೆಡುಕರನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

The LORD hath made all [things] for himself: yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.

5 ೫ ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ದಂಡನೆ ಖಂಡಿತ.

Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

6 ೬ ಕೃಪಾಸತ್ಯತೆಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪನಿವಾರಣೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಾನಿನಿವಾರಣೆ.

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD [men] depart from evil.

7 ೭ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಒಬ್ಬನ ನಡತೆಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದರೆ, ಅವನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಿತ್ರರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವನು.

When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

8 ೮ ಅನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ಬಹು ಧನಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ ಅಲ್ಪ ಧನವೇ ಲೇಸು.

Better [is] a little with righteousness, than great revenues without right.

9 ೯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮನದಂತೆ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸುವನು.

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

10 ೧೦ ರಾಜನ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗದು.

A divine sentence [is] in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.

11 ೧೧ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ಅಳತೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಕ್ಕಡಿಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಏರ್ಪಾಡು, ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲಿನ ತೂಕದಕಲ್ಲುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವೇ.

A just weight and balance [are] the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag [are] his work.

12 ೧೨ ರಾಜರು ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಧರ್ಮವೇ ಆಧಾರವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು, ಅಧರ್ಮವನ್ನಾಚರಿಸಲು ಅಸಹ್ಯಪಡುವರು.

[It is] an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.

13 ೧೩ ರಾಜರು ಸತ್ಯದ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವರು, ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವರು.

Righteous lips [are] the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.

14 ೧೪ ರಾಜನ ಕೋಪ ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನ ದೂತ, ಜಾಣನು ಅದನ್ನು ಶಮನಪಡಿಸುವನು.

The wrath of a king [is as] messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.

15 ೧೫ ಪ್ರಭುವಿನ ಮುಖಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆ ಜೀವ, ಆತನ ದಯೆ ಮುಂಗಾರುಮುಗಿಲು.

In the light of a king's countenance [is] life; and his favor [is] as a cloud of the latter rain.

16 ೧೬ ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮೇಲು, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದು ಲೇಸು.

How much better [is it] to get wisdom than gold? and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver?

17 ೧೭ ಸತ್ಯವಂತನ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗ ಹಾನಿಗೆ ದೂರ, ತನ್ನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವನು.

The highway of the upright [is] to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

18 ೧೮ ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ಭಂಗ, ಉಬ್ಬಿನಿಂದ ದೊಬ್ಬು.

Pride [goeth] before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

19 ೧೯ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೂರೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ದೀನರ ಸಂಗಡ ದೈನ್ಯದಿಂದಿರುವುದು ವಾಸಿ.

Better [it is to be] of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

20 ೨೦ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವವನು ಸುಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು, ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡುವವನು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತನು.

He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoever trusteth in the LORD, happy [is] he.

21 ೨೧ ಜ್ಞಾನಹೃದಯರಿಗೆ ಜಾಣರೆಂಬ ಬಿರುದು ಬರುವುದು, ಸವಿತುಟಿಯಿಂದ ಉಪದೇಶ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವುದು.

The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

22 ೨೨ ವಿವೇಕಿಗೆ ವಿವೇಕವೇ ಜೀವದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ, ಮೂರ್ಖನಿಗೆ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವೇ ದಂಡನೆ.

Understanding [is] a well-spring of life to him that hath it: but the instruction of fools [is] folly.

23 ೨೩ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಜಾಣತನವನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು.

The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.

24 ೨೪ ಸವಿನುಡಿಯು ಜೇನುಕೊಡ, ಅದು ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಹಿ, ಎಲುಬಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮ.

Pleasant words [are as] a honey-comb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

25 ೨೫ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸರಳವಾಗಿ ತೋರುವ ಒಂದು ದಾರಿಯುಂಟು, ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗೆ ಅದು ಮರಣಮಾರ್ಗವೇ.

There is a way that seemeth right to a man, but the end of it [is] the ways of death.

26 ೨೬ ದುಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯೇ ದುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ದುಡಿಯಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಬಾಯೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

He that laboreth laboreth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.

27 ೨೭ ನೀಚನು ಕೇಡೆಂಬ ಕುಣಿಯನ್ನು ತೋಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಉರಿಯಂತಿದೆ.

An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips [there is] as a burning fire.

28 ೨೮ ತುಂಟನು ಜಗಳ ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಚಾಡಿಕೋರನು ಮಿತ್ರರನ್ನು ಅಗಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.

29 ೨೯ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯು ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆಯುವನು.

A violent man enticeth his neighbor, and leadeth him into the way [that is] not good.

30 ೩೦ ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವನು, ತುಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕಚ್ಚುವವನು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುವನು.

He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.

31 ೩೧ ನರೆಗೂದಲೇ ಸುಂದರ ಕಿರೀಟವು, ಅದು ಧರ್ಮಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕುವುದು.

The hoary head [is] a crown of glory, [if] it is found in the way of righteousness.

32 ೩೨ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನು ಶೂರನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಳುವವನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದವನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ.

[He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit, than he that taketh a city.

33 ೩೩ ಮಡಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಬಹುದು, ಅದರ ತೀರ್ಪು ಯೆಹೋವನದೇ.

The lot is cast into the lap: but the whole disposing of it [is] from the LORD.
